  8. Hi, I'm interested to learn anything anyone knows about the brain and the development of clairvoyance etc. I'm looking at the meninges and especially the arachnoid mater. Anyone with any knowledge of this??? also looking at pituitary and pineal glands - any thoughts on this. Ta.

  10. The Great Pyramid

Ah right watched the vid now. It doesn't explain the presence of the queens chamber tho' does it if there are indeed two ante-chambers. Also these rooms were not just for storage and so on by symbolic of parts of the Duat which isn't mentioned. But interesting anyway. I particularly liked the part where it says 'no slaves' I'm sick of that myth
  11. I thought it was about time this beautiful poem by St. John of the Cross had an airing. Below is quite a nice English translation and the original Spanish. Many people use the phrase 'dark night of the soul' to refer to a depressive state but actually that's wrong - it refers to an ecstatic state of union or 'non-duality' between a person and God. Read on .... Songs of the soul rejoicing at having achieved the high state of perfection, the Union with God, by way of spiritual negation. Once in the dark of night, Inflamed with love and yearning, I arose (O coming of delight!) And went, as no one knows, When all my house lay long in deep repose All in the dark went right, Down secret steps, disguised in other clothes, (O coming of delight!) In dark when no one knows, When all my house lay long in deep repose. And in the luck of night In secret places where no other spied I went without my sight Without a light to guide Except the heart that lit me from inside. It guided me and shone Surer than noonday sunlight over me, And led me to the one Whom only I could see Deep in a place where only we could be. O guiding dark of night! O dark of night more darling than the dawn! O night that can unite A lover and loved one, Lover and loved one moved in unison. And on my flowering breast Which I had kept for him and him alone He slept as I caressed And loved him for my own, Breathing an air from redolent cedars blown. And from the castle wall The wind came down to winnow through his hair Bidding his fingers fall, Searing my throat with air And all my senses were suspended there. I stayed there to forget. There on my lover, face to face, I lay.

  15. Hexagram 35 - Looking for some advice/help?

Sorry to hear about your work situation. But congrats on your daughter Hex 35 is like a sun rise so suggests some kind of opening up to new horizons. I guess the higher influences means that somehow this will turn out positive for you - but at present you don't know how. Keep faith. best wishes.

    Any moving lines?
  17. I'd have a look at Nei Gong or Nei Dan. The winds are really the equivalent of prana or qi. You have winds, drops and channels in tantric Buddhism which make up the subtle body.
  18. Thanks that really cheered me up
  19. Is Alfred Huang a reliable translator?

Just try using it regularly but not for anything frivalous ... the more you get to know the Yi Jing the better it gets.
  20. Gospel of Thomas

    It's a bit of a sore point.
  21. RIP Boy Scouts

I think I'd go back to my earlier point about Boy Scouts and need for boys/young men to experience being and working together for their growth into maturity. So if you apply this to race you would have to ask what is the purpose of a black group, what is the purpose of a white only group? If we were still living under segregation or racist laws then a black group would serve the purpose for mutual support for an isolated and oppressed group. Now the white supremacists think they are 'being replaced' and want to group for protection. It's all pretty much fucked up - if I may use that expression. If you allow one - under freedom of assembly - then with regret I don't see how you can't allow the other.
