  1. Energy sharing

I think the transmission of information is a pointing out to the receiver of what is already within them as a potential.
  2. Energy sharing

    I would agree with that.

I don't know about fa jin - I was hoping a martial arts practitioner would respond. i think energy sharers think they are literally sending energy from A to B.
  4. Energy sharing

A very hierarchical point of view. I think we all resonate.
  5. Energy sharing

  8. The Problem With The Forum Admin...

The suspension that can be spoken is not the constant/eternal suspension.

What I can't quite work out is why threads like this are garbage and yet fascinating. Pages and pages of garbage in fact and the same people who claim to be genuine practitioners have time to spout rubbish. I think maybe it is because you get an insight into the possibilities for self-deception and obsession - that and further demonstrations of the ultimate internet skill of trolling. It is well known who owns the site, it is well known how the Admin/Mod team work, the rules are explicit and the range and scope of the site (i.e. not exclusively Daoist or qigong) is also well known. Or if you don't know it is easy to find out. The site does have some adverts but the owner has to pay for the domain and the software license for the message board - so fair enough because it is free at the user end (although you can choose to subscribe). The best thing about this place is that it has managed to totally avoid any orthodoxy - so the moderators are not here to enforce any particular path, philosophy or spiritual practice. They enforce the rules as explicitly stated and this is (usually) triggered by a report from a member. Whether or not they have achieved some advanced level in their own personal practice or system is irrelevant to this because they do not moderate the ideas or content of posts but just your conduct - like for instance repeatedly attempting to dox someone after having been asked not to. Having been a mod I would say it is a thankless task (and at times quite time consuming) and so I think we should appreciate that people are giving up their time voluntarily to read through all this garbage and make decisions about it. There may be occasionally inconsistencies and so on - but I have always thought it is up to us to behave with dignity and not whining little bitches on these rare occasions. It is a good lesson to improve one's own personal conduct - and much more beneficial than the wire up the backside (although I fully support the diversity of choice in the wire insertion community). I've been on here ten years and can say the mods are doing a great job and we owe them a debt of gratitude - so thanks!

  12. The Problem With The Forum Admin...

Well done on completely misunderstanding how this place works and what it is for.
  13. The Problem With The Forum Admin...

If you object to a post and think it breaks forum rules then you report it to the mods and they decide whether to take action. For someone complaining you should at least learn how things work.

"So it's o.k. to post "soft porn" images on this site with absolutely no condemnation by the mods - like a snatch shot of an Egyptian Goddess - or a S/M "tight" leather frontal open idealist Taoist Nun." What? Where?
  15. The Problem With The Forum Admin...

  19. Tibetan prostrations

The lord he doth prostrate too much.
  20. Tibetan prostrations

I feel tired just reading that We do refuge prayer with prostrations. Then vajrasattva, mandala offerings then guru-yoga mantra. As I understand it the 100,000 is not a magic number. Its just a big enough number to be somewhere between easy and impossible. It took me many years to complete the prostrations - tho' in my defence I was working out of hotel rooms and no stable base for some of that time which made it very hard. the vajrasattva mantras were much quicker and I'm currently on the mandala offerings (but its stuttering because I've had some other issues to deal with). The way I've come to see it is that its a bit like a procession round a mountain - the mountain looks like one thing from the north, different from the west and so on. In other words you are looking at the same thing from different perspectives rather than different things if you see what I mean.
  21. Tibetan prostrations

    yes good one Steve.
  22. Tibetan prostrations

14! OMG! Anyway - happy flopping on the floor if you are only 22 you have plenty of time.
  23. Tibetan prostrations

Is that Drikong Kagyu then? Cool. Well if you are doing them anyway - do more to lose weight I know many masters do three or more sets of ngondro in their lives. Which is a bit embarrassing to think how long I have been struggling through them
  24. Tibetan prostrations

Are you doing it with a teacher or from books? I'd agree it opens up channels - the ngondro usually translated as 'preliminary' but that's a bit misleading - they are powerful practices in their own right - but the point is support to sitting in mahamudra.
