  6. Third Eye Blind: Aphantasia

I used to have a friend who told me they could not see any images in their mind. She had to build images with words, describe them to herself. I was quite amazed when I found this out because I visualise quite strongly. It's not all head stuff either - I find that images spring from different places - for instance images which spring from the heart centre are fully formed and have a life and energy of their own, images which spring from the LDT are shockingly direct - like real things - while head generated images are more abstract.
  7. Gardening Advice????

@Stosh, Thanks. You are right the advice from locals is rip it up and plant a new one. But I'm kind of attached to this tree. I'm fairly sure it's male - and I hadn't heard of the cross gendering - I don't think its deficiency in the soil (which is quite good) as it flowers vigorously every year - but as I say they just drop off and leave no fruit.

  12. What is a human/woman/man?

    Good link thanks.
  13. What is a human/woman/man?

According to the Bloomsbury Dictionary of Word origins - man originally meant a person in Old English- woman is from wif ... so wif-man refering to specifically the childbearing 'man' mutates into wiman - then woman, while the male was called wer which is still found in were-wolf and other words. I know that in the Domesday Book (1068) - whoever was in charge of land was called 'the man' whether the person was male or female. So by the way, womb-man seems to be a false etymology for woman. The possible Indo European roots are either from mens 'to think, to breathe' or from man as in 'hand' thus words like manipulate or manage. Human on the other hand is from Latin humanus, linked to homo etc and also humus meaning 'earth' thus earthly beings and not gods or spirits.
