  5. Book on trecko, thogal and Dzogchen

--- Moderator Message --- I am locking this thread which has just become a bad tempered exchange. For general information it was ZOOM who posted the link to the scribd pdf download which has been hidden. It is a general rule on TBs not to post free pdf downloads of copyright material and it is strictly enforced. We don't wish to become a resource for illicit material. Short extracts are usually ok but even these care should be taken to avoid posting too much of a book which could still amount to a breach of copyright. Please also avoid personal insults and attacks. --- Message Ends ---

  8. Buddha and his Dhamma free book

I'm guessing this is the same Dr. Ambedkar as mentioned today in this Guardian article: http://www.theguardian.com/books/2014/jul/18/arundhati-roy-accuses-mahatma-gandhi-discrimination Gandhi's stance is sometimes contrasted by commentators with that of Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, a Dalit who grew up in poverty but went on to become a prominent independence leader and India's first law minister, with responsibility for much of the country's constitution. Roy recently wrote a new introduction to Ambedkar's undelivered 1936 speech, The Annihilation of Caste, in which she called Gandhi "the saint of the status quo". Mukherjee said Gandhi and Ambedkar "represented different understandings of how to solve problems of caste oppression in India, but each was equally sincere". .... I'm quite keen on Mr. Gandhi so don't know what to make of all this but amazed to see Dr. Ambedkar mentioned twice today when I have to admit I had never heard of him.

  15. Question about sexual yoga

If you are cultivating in this way then you should experience increased energy flows in the body. I think it might be helpful to contemplate that jing/qi/shen are not so much three different things but a spectrum of energy which is, or links to feelings, emotions, thoughts and so on. Any practice you do will impact on your being in a variety of ways and the key is to be sensitive to those changes, work in a natural and unforced way and do not use unexamined concepts to block yourself up. Emptiness mediation is a good idea.
  16. I see chi less as a kind of fuel, like gasoline for your car and more a product of the interaction of yin and yang (or as you point out yin and yang are a product of presence of chi), so yes no one without the other.
  17. Yes of course .. or you could say the Sun is primarily yang but in that it is burning up hydrogen inside it is becoming steadily yin ... by polarities I mean that you can't really have one without the other. As soon as you identify a thing as yang then it can be yin relative to something else.
  18. Earth is yin and heaven is yang. But earth is not the ordinary physical world it more like 'mother earth' a kind of dark inner nurturing force which allows things to exist. The observable physical world is part of the middle human world. Although Heaven is light and yang, this is viewed as 'hard' as distinct to Earth yin/soft and yielding. Heaven is a realm of pure yang in which there is no room for vagueness and is what imparts order onto everything. Images and pure forms arise from heaven while things with substantial existence arise from Earth. Actually they are just poles of the same process so the 10k things draw their form from yang/heaven and their substance from yin/earth. Nothing can exist without both and arise from the interaction of these two 'gates', the dragon gate and the moon gate.
