I think this is interesting but rather oddly makes the man completely passive as if he is not oggling the girl ... and somehow the victim of the whole thing. Just the impression I got.

An opinion is something you pin yourself on ... in other words you make the idea or thought more significant than you. I'm this sort of person, I'm that sort of person, 'I always say that ...' and so on ... don't get me wrong ideas are great and necessary but if you make reason your master and not your servant you end up opinionated. Your ego is formed from these kind of ideas, points of view, feelings you cling on to. So its best to let go and start afresh each moment ... not easy by the way cos the ego uses opinion as a shield and doing without is hard work ....so you have to meditiate on emptiness or even more so feel empty in the moment. Offer up your thoughts to the universe and see what new things come in. Bit of a ramble but hope it made sense

Seat belt have been compulsory since about 1979 in UK and Europe ... so just got used to them. If it stops you being thrown through the windscreen if you crash then a good thing I think. I agree about cynicism about insurance companies but nothing is simple - so there's always more than one perspective on anything.

I was taught the 24 form (among other things) and still practice it (learned from a Hong Kong Chinese teacher and also a Taiwanese teacher)... I have no doubt what people say is true about how it was 'created' but all I can say is that I have derived great health and well being benefit from it and I am sure it has merit and is worthwhile. I would suggest even if the Chinese government had a hand in developing it ... it did not spring from nowhere and is based on legitimate traditional movements.

If you know the glyphs and can interpret the pictures then you can work out what the Egyptians intended ... but if you don't then you produce your own version from your imagination or possibly inspired from elsewhere. The Mormons themselves have done a lot of work on this comparison. For instance this man claims that JS was right in many respects ... http://home.comcast.net/~michael.rhodes/JosephSmithHypocephalus.pdf but he is aMormon and would say that ....

Nirvana is the perfect peace which occurs when the fires of grasping and conflicting emotions which drive samsara are extinguished. Nothing to do with Brahman. -
Great pics! Maybe I can get some of our birds. I am more than slightly disgusted by the fact that the villagers here trap and eat little birds. They do the same in France. Its traditional apparently ... yuk!

So what's your answer?
-
Well maybe I shouldn't say wrong ... perhaps highly interpreted into biblical thinking rather than straight Egyptian. The hypocephalus is an interesting 26th dynasty expression of the the Eye of Horus ... he didn't know that. I don't know his dates but its possible he lived before they were properly translated. Here's a good link for hypocephili ... worthy of discussion I think: http://nowscape.com/mormon/hypocephalus/Hypocephalus_Gallery.htm

Joseph Smith made some translations of Egyptian Hypocephalus ... which is interesting ... if wrong ...
