  1. jade woman qigong

Isn't Wang Liping supposed to be compiling a book on cultivation specifically for women? I know I've read about it, but I have no idea where the progress is at.
  2. The white drop of bliss

Thanks for the nice responses! Strangely no-one pointed out that when I posted in the Semen retention thread Thank you for this, Trunk, I'll definately have to look into it further, it seems to be the extension of what I was doing. But still, what is the goal with mixing the red and white drops? Where does it lead, what is it's explanation? I mean, what is actually at work? I'm a very difficult customer for my deities, I want a list of ingredients on every packade they give me :s I'll definately look into it further though, and extend the practice a bit further. "Clear light of Bliss" seems to describe a "quick and simple" sort of deity yoga, and I really like the vajrayana idea of creating a mandala of one's surroundings, so that every day becomes a sort of worship. That book spoke of creating spiritual energy from the gross (sexual) energy in the body, though, and I am definitely not disciplined enough for something such. Also, I achieved this experience completely without any sexual elements, so I don't think it's necessary -only lofty imagination and pointed focus. I do it to become a better person, find my optimal way of living and health, and become a good TCM doctor. No Sattvika inclinations, as far as I understand the concept.
  3. Chi in Nature / Mak Tin Si

It would be interesting to hear what someone who is in the system says about it. To me it sounds far too sectarian and sales-oriented. I bet there will be a "two grades for the price of one" special discount soon...
  4. Retention and Neediness

Interesting topic for me, since I have recently taken up retention practices. I took it up partly because I read the Chia book, and partly because I wanted to do foundation work. I realized after two weeks that the Chia book isn't for me, and I found the techniques harmful and ineffective, now I have more of my own flow that I follow during intercourse which works really well. I don't have problems with overheating, although I very soon realized that meditation and overall calm is very needed to not go bonkers. I also made several restrictions to my diet. No wheat or sugars, meat only once a month at maximum, preferably none. No caffeine or alcohol. I would love to hear more about the cooling, does it have to do with breathing technique and leading the energy down the front of the body? When I started I felt completely revitalized, that I was truly keeping all my jing etc. After a while though I realized that the feeling had a lot to do with overdose of fire in the organs, leading to constant horniness and all that mental unrest. But to me it is merely a matter of putting it to use. Making sure the energy circulates at orgasm, that all of it isn't stuck in the abdomen/testicles. It can't be escaped though that the jing is obviously burnt away slightly by the sexual excitation, making it more gross rather than refining it. Can this be counteracted by remaining more "cool" through the sexual act while still being open emotionally? I guess I'm looking for the balance here, where my jing isn't burnt away and scattered every time I'm aroused, but rather simply heated up slightly to easier go up the spine, where it can then be refined through the microcosmic orbit. I figure it's a matter of habit. Soon enough my body will get the fact that I'm building a new highway. edit; my forum name has nothing to do with my retention practices, in fact i've never had one
  5. Damo Yi Jin Jing and Xi Sui Jin

BUMP, rather than starting a new topic for this. I have just started the yijinjing massage training mentioned in Dr. Yang's book and in "outgoing-qi Therapy" after a month of prepwork teaching myself to cultivate ching and restoring my inner and outer quietude. To begin with I am only doing abdominal massage 2x25 minutes (sometimes 3 times) per day along with empty meditation, as per the recommendation in Dr. Yang's book. I'll pick up the 12-form and LHC practice again later. But there are a few things that concern me... First, I am unsure as to the usefulness of the 12-form to the massage-training, as it leads qi to the 12 primary channels, i.e. all around the body, when the work should be with condensing it in select areas (?). Second, the verification of progress. A quite silly bewonderment probably, but nevertheless; All the texts state that verification of progress for the first month is that "the two tendons are raised and as hard as wood or stone". Now, this is certainly true for the period Immediately following the massage and 2 hours onwards, where there is a strong sensation of qi in the abdominal muscles, and they are strong and "rock solid" without being flexed, however, do they really mean the abdominal muscles? Using the word "tendons" confuses me. Furthermore, is the training finished when the abomen is hard at all times, or when it reaches such firmness when qi is guided there, i.e. when it is the result of a session. Lastly, is the massage and appendix to the 12-form, or the other way around? I am a bit confused as to how it is used, since the two sources I have is a book which focuses on qigong and emission, setting the massage as curiosa, and a book which focuses on martial strength and power, neglecting the qigong...

My name is joakim, I'm from sweden, and I'm a student of falun gong and chinese medicine. I'm here for lurking in general and participation when the intellectual aura isn't too penetrating - i have a fairly limited knowledge even though i work to better myself. See you all around. -Joakim
