That is a good question.  Rather than an easy answer try Alan Watts on "why we need enemies" and if you Have access to Milton Erickson's books/volumes I would say "frames of reference" may have meaning when we talk about desensitization to vivid imagery.

No, it is not.  This is another lie.  If you believe passionately in something, you do give your opinion very passionately.  Just because someone strenuously disagrees with something does not make it aggressive.  But, this lie is taught on many major campuses.

 

So, if strenuously disagreeing something passionately is aggression, I want no part in that idea that it could be conceived of as aggression.  Because this kind of thing happens all the time in life.  In fact as Alan Watts put it "if you destroy your enemy you are really in a sticky situation"  and "it is because enemies make us stronger because we adapt, thus it is important to love our enemies."  So even if a term, perspective is in fact a real aggression, it is actually doing you a favor.

 

That whole paradigm or school of thought is deeply flawed and there is no way to resolve it through the same means we used when we created the problem.  I am not saying lets grab pitchforks and torches and go after the trouble makers.  No, destroying people is never the solution.  But realizing that these lies run deep and that we have created a new generation of people so dependent upon a system that forces people to turn things inward is part of what has even caused much mental illness as well.  Because we do not live in a bubble or vaccuum.  You will run into people who will challenge everything about you.  It doesnt matter if it is on a street or in a forum.  You don't get people stroking your ego when you are middleaged and telling you everything is okay.  If you are one of these, like I once was... There is no one around to help you fix a broken world that you realize you damaged because you thought all of that was "OK".  That is what happened to me, yeah it took a while to get back on track and set things up for success but this whole line of thinking or microagressions and aggressions we learned in college is garbage.  It does nothing to help people in the real world and does more harm than good.  I have lived it.

I guess we will have to wait and see what happens.  I'm all for peaceful resolution.  Or did I mean REVOLUTION?!?!?

There has be en an upsurge into Social Justice this past year.

On a level with you.  Blame and pointing fingers never solves anything spiritually, as one author once said:

So, I have taken a brief respite from my Meme war against evil, to help spread this powerful Metta meditation to stop this type of corruption.

When we give power to others or use vehicles like Social Justice, it just like addictions or other sins of the spirit fall under the breaking of The Karmic laws regarding Freedom.  Abuse of Karmic freedom is when we violate other peoples Karmic ties or debts by using vehicles like Social Justice.  We end up accruing these debts ourselves.  So, the solution tends to cover two major factors:

2.  To solve the blunder of Social Justice a higher, more spiritual method must be used to cleanse the issue.  In spirit, justice only exists in ourselves.  So, to clear away the old ideas, we must turn to a more viable solution... Metta.

 

So, any time to you take if it is 15 minutes or an hour will be effective in clearing out these old ideas in the world.  By doing so, you are not subject to breaking any Karmic laws as long as it is from a righteous, self-disciplined perspective.  It is very powerful.  Lets try to help empower the world to change this now before Karmic debts get out of hand:

 

As Thought Forms go, there were specific things that had to be learned by society.

 

We had a go of the 'bout of Political Correctness infecting all parts of society leading to where we are now.  We can debate the effects of Political Correctness and Anti-Bullying but it had the same effect.  It creates a weaker society that looks to the whole to police thought that:

"Does not adhere to the status quo.  The tactic that is used is the Shaming and Demonization of thoughts that are not in line with the status quo."

 

It is apparent that this CREATED MORE HATE.  SPLC (no longer used by the FBI as a real means to gauge hate) even by the status quo of the left sees a huge increase in hate.  To quote them:  Hate groups increased to 917.

 

There is no way to fight something and come out the victor.  The Trump campaign was instrumental in expressing this point.  People went demonizing Trump as much as possible, this fueled the opposition and people who saw a leader in Trump as a concept that needed to be protected or championed turned out to support Trump.  This effectively illustrates that just like a war on drugs, the concept is ineffective as long as a better concept or idea is developed that everyone can "buy into".  To counter something like drugs, a new form of education would need to be considered that not only addresses the effects of addiction, but also the long term financial, incarcerative and societal effects of people dependent upon the use of illegal drugs.  Scare tactics I believe are useless, but education along with stressing the high risk activities of drug pushers and the short term gains accompanied with high risks of being caught is a better ore effective approach.  Stressing the need to set people up for success.  This illustrates that higher level thinking always is of better benefit to society than emotional thinking which does not develop such ideas beyond the common thought.

 

As long as we think or buy into the idea of Political Correctness or using it as thought policing the masses we will continue to produce meger and baneful results that lead to a degredation of the human race.   Confining people to dumber ideas and dumber wars.  Emotional thinking will never solve the problems of tomorrow.  I submit:

 

"As long as we police the thoughts of the general population, with a view to maintaining this type of emotional thinking and status quo, hate will continue to increase. Theamount of shaming and Political Correctness apparent in media and social media has continued to this point to only inflame aggression against groups of people, due to their voices not being heard."

 

So, if this is the case, what can really be done to stop the increase of hate that has reached this point?  Well, I had to search the ancient texts for anything that resembled this type of situation.

 

In stanza 8 of the tao te ching:

In governing, don't try to control.

 

When you are content to be simply yourself and don't compare or compete, everyone will respect you.

 

In stanza 2:

Therefore the Master
acts without doing anything
and teaches without saying anything.
Things arise and she lets them come;
things disappear and she lets them go.
She has but doesn't possess,
acts but doesn't expect.
When her work is done, she forgets it.
That is why it lasts forever.

 

Here we see that stress on the free flow of energy and ideas is apparent.  In Hermetics, love is also an expansive rippling quality.  Compare this with texts in Medical Qigong regarding the heart.  In other words, higher concepts are based upon love.  Where as fear sinks, is shrinking and restricts or confines.

 

If I am to explain this in mundane terms.  The physical representation of love is the free flowing, free exchange of ideas or values.  Fear causes people to restrict or oppress ideas.

 

Therefore, I simply state that the highest ideal according to the Dao in the Tao Te Ching is to love all, including the unlovable, which some may deem an irrational concept.  How can people love things that are possibly reprehensible in nature?  Well, if we chose not to, we give into the fear some hold, grasp that they may have threatening ideas or power.  Such, is the nature of intolerance to ideas.  They further restrict and grow fear and insecurities in the general population.

 

So, how to fix?

Well if love is the free flow of ideas unhindered, then fear and hate is really the opposite.  It really is Political Correctness and shaming ideas themselves.  We can not choose to further restrict the ideas of these ones, because therein lies the rub.  By forcing people to speak freely, we cause more fear and anxiety on the parts of those who seek their way of life to go unchallenged.  We must be the better people by showing love to these hateful people who seek to oppress free speech.  It is their own fears and entanglements through the spiritual concepts of contaigion that have forced people to see things the way they do.  The only way to overcome is to:

 

1.  Stop Shaming People.

2.  Show compassion to people who restrict ideas.

 

It really is their own personal pains and things they are going through themselves that has caused them to see things the way they do.  This goes for all humans who in any way seek to restrict or suppress ideas.  Humans exist to spead ideas, whether they be truth, untruth... Good or bad.  The more we seek to allow these things and allow people to voice opinions, the more people are allowed to exercise free will.  Yes, it is a circumstance I could not possibly have foreseen.  But, it comes to a conclusion that we must each consciously choose ourselves.  If we force an outcome, we create more fear, restriction and evil.  But when we consciously choose for ourselves to allow ideas to exist and be communicated, we choose ourselves to be more loving and by example allow ourselves to set the example.  Yes, some ideas may be good, and other ideas may cause bad.  But the Tao Te Ching emphasis that the choices we make are our own.  It never stresses control in any form.  It is up to each one of us to choose what we wish to do.  This empowers us as humankind and will bring us into the next era.

The after effects:   In another holy writing it is said "where there is no wood the fire goes out."

This is true in the case of ideas.  Communicating this highest truth... As long as we promote the free flow of ideas, the fearful and oppressive ideas that stimulate hate and fear will go out.  This is the only way to counter fear and hate.

For a person to not be brainwashed, they would have to be aware of themselves, their own decisions and actions as well as cues from the outside world.  That would effectively eliminate most people.

 

Most people put blinders on when they see the failings or weaknesses of their own positions they take.  When it comes to that, there is an unwillingness to accept when they are wrong.  They take any and every meaningless altruism and run with it.  That is the true sign of actually being brainwashed.  But there is a cure.

 

If we step back and stop our meaningless positions on trivial things and see them for what they are:

A flat tire, sure it is bad... But what are you going to do about it?

You get caked by mud by a passing car... Yes you may think it is bad, but what are you going to do to make it good?

Life is not about the positions we take necessarily, but how we choose to meet those obstacles when they happen.

 

Okay, so data-mining exists... But is there a propaganda machine?  Reality tells us no.  Let me explain.

The T.V. media is so liberal backed and minded that they have gone from facts to imposing views of life upon people.  That is a real propaganda machine.  CNN even said that there were voters they did not have any way to account for that voted for Trump.  This is based upon their polls.  How does this happen?  By deductive reasoning we see that those people did not watch or listen to or were not dedicated enough to take part in the media's polls.  Most of these people had not even heard about Breitbart.  They did sure hear from their friends when hillary practically implied that if you were white and had a penis, you were a deplorable.  Was that exactly what she said?  No.  But when you malign a group of people who vote, there will certainly be backlash.  That is what happened.  It was not about any thing else.  In fact it told people that they needed to vote for someone other than Hillary and they found their values in line with Trump's.

 

So, on data-mining.  Can it be stopped? No.  There is no real method except to use the same tool yourself.

 

Propaganda... Clinton's (Bill) Influence had the propaganda part of curriculum removed from history books back in 1994.  If it had remained it would still have been 35% effective in teaching people to recognize what propaganda is.  The only way to bring this back is to push for it back in our schools.

 

Trump won.  Yeah, but what are you going to do about it?  Whining solves nothing.  If you are really hell bent on putting in a liberal president, the corruption has to be cleaned up first.  This election has affirmed for me that the Superdelegate system is inheirently flawed.  Bernie talks about this a lot.  That is what cost him the election.  It is also why Trump did not run as a Democrat, because that system is corrupt and he would have been another Bernie Sanders.  It should be kept in mind that Trump had been a democrat and had funded many Democrat campaigns.  So, thinking he is pure Republican is another brainwashed bit to chaw on.

 

Corruption has grown to almost define American politics.  No one is willing to sort through all the garbage because well, that does not seem fun.  Another aspect is people are not willing to see the flaws in their precious ideological dogma.  That is the real brainwashing right there.  When I see the lack of ability to address that corruption, it tells me that down deep on a fundamental level that the person is not willing to see things as they are.  Just like that flat tire or the clothes that got caked with mud, there are real problems that have to be addressed.  No fancy nuance of flowery rhetoric or new idea that people adopt and run with will ever clear it out.  We have to put on gloves, not the kid kind that hang on marvelous flowery deceptions and actually work to fix the problems.  Politics is not about just voting or thinking a certain way and it is done.  You have to nurture the success at every level.  Otherwise, just like the glorific Democratic party that I once knew and loved gets bought out and usurped for corrupt means just like Soros has done.  Creating a new party wont do it.  In fact, if you really want something done now, since the Republican party was pretty much overthrown, your chances are better choosing red.  It suits the time, there is less corruption now because of it.  Here is your chance.  Take it.

 

The brainwashing thing was a nice try, but if you are unwilling to deal with the dirty part of politics, it is abundantly clear that you have no idea what you are talking about. Sure, some of those ideas look good on a computer screen, but in a way, Taomeow has also sought to malign a group of people based upon preconceived notions.  Even so far as to call anyone that does not think like her, brainwashed.  That is probably a hallmark of unethical behaviour when she has failed to address the glaring discrepancies with reality. Sure, I have called outlooks stupid.  People have responded to the whining also widespread on Youtube about Trump's win.  Rather than say she is anything.  It just proves that people have become a bunch of crybabys instead of looking at the reality.  I have done my part to try to outline this in this post as much as I possibly can.  Yes, people's feelings do get hurt when they do not have their way.  But, I am not going to comfort people with a lie.  We are supposed to be grown ups here and everyone should be able to handle the truth.

The article is full of red herrings[fallacy] and not much real fact(apart from some data-mining statistics on searches to look legit.) Then card-stacking[propaganda/jamming] which quickly turns into a slippery slope[fallacy]... ([sarcasm]oh no it builds until I am fearful of computers![/sarcasm])

Sorry that she is gone.  I wish peace for her, I know she is happy.  Sometimes people also do great things even after they pass.  We will wait and see if she has her wish fulfilled.

It is just data-mining.  Nothing new.  Obama's initial campaign was championed by data-miners..

 

Data-mining is not AI.  It is just finding correlations between seemingly unrelated bits of data and using this to extrapolate a third bit of information.  I have done this and there are many public domain programs out there that do that.
