LeonBasin, I didn't understand what you mean there. I guess you're talking about the classics. There are more then 25 texts now, links are here (see post #29): http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?showtopic=8944&st=20 Also, for updates, I suggest reading pages 1 and 3 of the thread. -

IMPORTANT NOTICE I'm really grateful that some members (JeroenK, Hardyg and Pullybone) are working on torrents. But they may not UPDATE the texts. I'm making additions to some of the texts; NCT (Ne-ching T'u) file is a good example. I'll be happy if the torrent people take time and update the files. If they don't, then the best way to ensure that you're getting the latest, updated versions is to DOWNLOAD FROM THE LINKS THAT I PROVIDE. P.S.: Last night I added a link to Wiki. You can always download the latest version of NCT (Ne-ching T'u) file at the following Wiki page because I'll update it with each new version. Look for the link that says "Bilingual (Chinese-English) text of Neijing tu (7 MB PDF file)". Currently the first link at the "External links" section. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neijing_Tu -

Download Nei-ching T'u HERE Sorry for the mess, but I deleted previous "Diagram of the Inner Channels" (Nei-ching T'u / Neijing Tu) files. The link here is the only link to NCT: NCT.pdf (7 MB) http://www.mediafire.com/file/iuzwaiyzjey/NCT.pdf -

Have to Get This Version I made a stupid mistake in the "Diagram of the Inner Channels" (Neiching T'u / Neijing Tu) file... (It's the 1st file above.) The author translated colophon at the end of the text, in the part 1 of the article, while the rest of the text was translated in part 2. Not seeing it in part 2, I assumed that he (somehow) translated only a part of the colophon. Today I saw trs. of the colophon by chance and prepared the latest version of the NCT file. If you downloaded the NeichingT'u.pdf, I suggest deleting that file and downloading the latest version: NCT.pdf (7 MB) http://www.mediafire.com/file/mvmijmzihod/NCT.pdf -

The Files will be Uploaded Soon Pullybone found a good sharing site: http://www.mediafire.com It seems quite convenient, no upload or download limits, etc. I'll upload ALL of the files quite soon. (Estimation: 10-20 days.) I'm working on a few new texts and made additions to a few texts I posted before. -

An [un]IMPORTANT note Dear all, I find words like "Dear", "Sincerely Yours", or "Best Regards" a bit insincere and artificial 'cause we use them without actually feeling anything for the other person. I don't like using such words. So if you don't see your name at the beginning of my messages (or sometimes e-mails), or if I only write your name without a "dear" etc. before it, or if I don't say "Best Regards" etc. at the end, please don't take this as an indication of disrespect. It is not. -

HAVE ART OF THE BEDCHAMBER? 1 PAGE MISSING I'm preparing the sexual alchemical poem attributed to Chang San-feng called "The Rootless Tree" (Wu-ken Shu / Wugen Shu). The poem is translated in Douglas Wile's Art of the Bedchamber (pp. 188-92), but right now my book (Wile's book) is in another place so I can't prepare a PDF file. I found 3 pages of it in Google Books. Only PAGE 189 is missing. Can anybody scan that page and send me? If you scan it, the best is to copy and paste the pic into a Word file and send me as a .doc file. That way, picture formats won't become a problem. You don't have to scan in high-res (high-resolution) mode; if it's barely readable that'll be enough. P.S.: I'm using a Mac, not a PC. -

A Note on Texts Beloved bums, I checked Google Docs, it's not convenient for sharing files. You can't download from their site, it only allows e-mailing and require ME to input e-mail addresses of the recipients. I'll upload the texts once more, again to Rapidshare (RS). Estimated time: (7 to 30 days). Then some of you can load the files into your Web sites or torrents and make available to others. -

NEW TEXT (Sleep practice - Shui-kung) Here's the latest text: General Instructions for the Twelve Sleep Practices of Mount Hua (Hua-shan Shih-erh Shui-kung Tsung-chueh), by Chou Lu-ching I'm grateful to YMWong (a Tao bum) for kindly providing the original woodblock text. Without his contribution the text would be incomplete. Thank you Wong. Filename: HS12Shuikung.pdf (size: 10 MB) http://rapidshare.com/files/200672412/HS12Shuikung.pdf.html Beloved bums, I won't be able to go online for some time; may be for a few months. I may check my mail from time to time, but no guarantee. If I can, I'll answer messages, I mean the replies here. So if I don't reply to something quickly, please don't think your message is ignored. I'll be preparing more texts and I'll upload them when I'm back. And I'll have a good surprise after several months. -

Dear JeroenK, Have 2 things to say: 1. I'm confused about RapidShare 10 user limit thing. After the upload, the RS site says: "Your file has been saved and can now be downloaded 10 times. It will be deleted after 90 days without download. If you would like to enable more people to download your file, please transfer it to a free Collector's Account or a Premium Account." A friend of mine just told me that he couldn't download a file, presumably because of the limit. But you say "There is no 10 user limit". In the past, I also downloaded several files from RS and I'm sure I was not among the first 10, so it seems there are no such limits. So is the info in their site incorrect then? Any ideas? 2. Thanks for your explanations about torrent. Sorry about my ignorance, but I don't know how to use a torrent. I know it exists and people use it, but I never used one. Since you say it's "a lot easier and faster then rapidshare", I wanna use a torrent, but don't know how. Can search Web and learn, but that would take a lot of time. Right now, I'm working on more bilingual texts; so I don't wanna use the time for learning how to use a torrent. You said "Best let someone who knows how to work with torrent make the torrent file, and make that available on this forum." Can somebody please help with the torrent thing? Then people can download easier. -

Dear Mal, I'm not familiar with Utorrent. What is it? (Checked their Web site but didn't understand what exactly. It says "for PCs" and I use Mac.) If there are other hosts that enable downloads, please let me know. I'll check Google in a few days. We'll find a way. -

NEW TEXT (Chinese anatomy - part 2) Beloved bums, Here's the second file in a set of 2 files. File 1 (ChinAnatomy1.pdf) is already posted (above); link for file 2 is here. The file contains a Chinese text on the anatomy and physiology of the human body according to Traditional Chinese Medicine, from famous Ming dynasty illustrated encyclopedia San-ts'ai T'u-hui. This is a facsimile of the Chinese text; there is no English translation. The file contains many illustrations and charts. The second text (ChinAnatomy2.pdf; 94.1 MB): http://rapidshare.com/files/199383858/ChinAnatomy2.pdf.html -
Hi there all bums! Just registered and saying hello for the first time. I'm gonna post some Taoist classics and texts in bilingual format (Chinese-English). All PDF files, zipped and free. I actually wanted to post them at the "Contributed Articles" section, but it says "only post relevant articles written by you.", so I'll post them at the "Off Topic". If all goes well, I may post the first part of the files tomorrow. Rootless Traveler
