I agree about Jubb being a flake but he still has good info in his books and I incorporate his advice into my own dietary needs. I needed what Karen is offering a year ago

  9. The reality of Max Christensen

I dont want to antagonize but the junk food thing is the issue that doesnt "sit right" with me. The food I purchase and consume(voting with my $) is more important than any meditation practice I have ever done. When I purchase products for spiritual knowledge I dont like the idea that the person profiting is going to take that money and put it into the junk food matrix that is brainwashing children into eating that rubbish.I know many wont agree but it is really that simple...buying junk food = supporting a disease promoting industry. It is pure edible hot garbage that destroys the health of people and planet alike and I dont personally condone it in any form but realize it is a personal decision. It is recommended to not consume any drugs but WTH do you think processed sugar and wheat are??Did you know that wheat is physically addictive??? I'll stick to eating my cannabis when I want a buzz thank you. I also dont like the idea of do as I say not as I do...I prefer the lead by example school of thought. Also the whole posture and shaking thing...I dont get it. I shake every day when I do my muscle balance routine for posture and it has nothing to do with the esoteric arts.People who do standing meditation shake...big deal....I suppose it has somehting to do with intent/expectation.
  10. The reality of Max Christensen

maybe, but at this point something about the whole Kunlun hype doesnt sit right with me...reminds me of an affordable, less arrogant version of the sean denty episode
  11. lost, confused and frustrated

FYI raw cacao also increases No2
  12. The reality of Max Christensen

I am still not buying into the whole junk food thing...its to keep him grounded, its OK because he's so powerful but dont get too close to powerlines...whatever. I still want to know what position you are holding to make your legs tremble....almost curious enough to drop a whole 15 bucks on the book but not quite.
  13. Kunlun Level 1

I am quite curious about the shaking and Kunlun in general. I have exercises for posture that have nothing to do with Qigong but cause a good amount of involuntary shaking.Usually after this particular exercise I feel it nessecary to let off some steam with a loud OHHMMM or two. Is this in any way similar to holding your heel off the ground until you tremble or am I way off base? Would this be a less than ideal practice foe people with postural dysfunctions(more people than you might think)?
  14. Darren Brown/NLP

HIs work is amazing...prompted me to look into NLp
  15. Huge free resource

its pretty awesome..really makes you feel alive and in the flow. Concentrate on breath and proper technique as much as possible. When you have good alignment it gets very easy.
  16. I figured It Out

Choosing which food industries you support by voting with your dollar is important at any and all levels of awareness IMO
  17. I figured It Out

Rice is fine for celiac/gluten intolerance but what I meant was that the indigestible proteins are similar to gluten in that they can provoke unfavorable immune response. And then there is the whole GI factor...the best you can hope for with rice is a moderate GI, which is OK for some people. If you are going to eat beans they should be soaked overnight and rinsed not the cooked in the can variety. Food and O2 are THE fuels of life and the way to vote with your dollar for a better earth so I dont really understand why people think its cute to eat junk food, especially people who have unplugged from the matrix.
  18. I figured It Out

I agree about high quality food obviously however I must point out that rice is less than ideal for many people because of indigestible proteins(similar to gluten),mineral leaching phytic acids and highly unfavorable glycemic index. Eating Lifefood and Paleo style has done as much or more for me than any meditation/cultivation,contemplation,pontification ect.
  19. I figured It Out

I can understand why this is controversial....I cant comprehend anyone on a spiritual path eating that shit and voting with their dollar to support it and the sickness industry it feeds..Quite the opposite of naturalism to eat processed junk food isnt it?
  20. I figured It Out

is Max the guru who claims to eat burgers and fries? or am I confused?
  21. BJJ, Shing Yi or Aikido?

BJJ is extremely effective. I was at purple belt level when I quit because my shoulders and back are completely jacked up from injuries. I often think of returning when I am healed but I think I will try Kung Fu because I really dont want anymore permanent injuries. Full resistance sparring on a regular basis = injury...something to consider.

  25. Tao Meow's diet

www.paleodiet.com http://www.arthurdevany.com/evolutionary_fitness/ Give your immune system a break from phytic acids in grains, legumes and beans, indigestible protiens in dairy and grains and stabilize your blood sugar by avoiding potatoes and other moderate to high GI foods.
