In his website, Bill really says that most important mantra is the Zhunti mantra which helps open up the heart chakra--the seat of enlightenment. Many Zen masters even used it, practitioners who were often against mantra-ing of any sort.

Does sex degenerate your overall chi/shen to jing?

I answered some of my own questions reading your posts so I thought I'd give back by elucidating the nature of jing-chi-shen transformation on the road to immortality and especially the notion of jing/semen retention within Taoism, Buddhism, and the Great Learning in general. Astral and others already gave a great description but there is a specific time sequence in Taoism. These articles really explain the sequence well and the difficulty in overcoming the "toxicity" (i really like this idea) of our normal condition, especially the 100 days that is required to complete the jing collection, after which there is a massive reduction in sexual desire, especially if one has been masterfully managing the psychological component. http://www.meditationexpert.com/yoga-kung-fu/y_laying_the_foundations_yoga_celibacy_brahmacharya_purity.htm http://www.meditationexpert.com/yoga-kung-fu/y_the_problem_of_sex_and_spiritual_cultivation_kung-fu.htm http://www.meditationexpert.com/yoga-kung-fu/y_sexual_desires_are_a%20problem_for_meditation.htm http://www.meditationexpert.com/yoga-kung-fu/y_celibacy_difficulties_in_spiritual_cultivation.htm Also there is a big connection IMO to being an Immortal and being a Sex God because both have unlocked and developed the capacity for full body enjoyment (something a woman naturally possesses because of the nature of Tao, the yin). May those who wish to succeed in this great endeavor find success within this distracting and degenerate Desire Realm. -
Hi everyone! My name is Ahmed and I'm not particularly a Taoist or anything but it's the closest thing to what I practice. sometimes. haha i've studied a lot of different things but most of my practice originates from www.meditationexpert.com and Shinzen Young's Science of Enlightenment series, i practice cessation-contemplation, zhunti mantra, and white skeleton meditation for the most part. i feel that people overcomplicate cultivation. cultivation is simply awakening to our Original Nature and becoming our very best by accomplishing our goals (but not every goddam desire that pops up haha) im studying for a bio degree at school and dont have a meditation community or anything so i hope maybe i can make some friends here!

u misread. his meditation blog and my my experience says anahata = zhunti mantra and anja = vairocana he actually says that if you do ANY mantra at all, one should try zhunti since it opens up the heart chakra, the most important for reachign enlightenment try it out, it has a high learning curve... but i really feel it working!

This is a strange thing to be happy about for your childhood but having traditional parents, I'm glad that my parents imposed all their traditions, culture, and stuffy religion onto me because it is what impelled me to seek to become more WHOLESOME and true to myself... it's what has led me to seek more valid means for explaining life, consciousness, spirituality, and the universe. For example, being a Muslim all my life as a child, I sought to escape this anger-suffused religion filled with fear and repression... leading me to Buddhism, Taoism, among other things! I'm glad for the tribulations and pains my parents put me through which have made me less trustful of society, family, and everyone and seek to be a more wholesome, loving, wise, and happy person independent of those around me! Of course I don't know how I would ever bump into what I've bumped into without a local library and internet... so I'm also very happy to be born into a country which can focus on education and learning and provide a plethora of resources for that end! -

weed is awesome haha but ive quit a week ago because... it's EXTERNAL!! i know exact what you're talking about when you mention the physical increase in strength, blasto! ive never tested the EXTENT of it though, i was always afraid i might injure my body since i can't particularly tell if i hurt my muscles or something! anyway, i have a feeling that weed makes your chi rise a little which is why we feel so happy, at ease, more immune to pain, and that general giddiness oh and not to mention the hunger! the occasional negative effects of weed are due to the fact that we are doing this "unfairly"! we haven't CULTIVATED to this level and so basically our minds aren't ready for this arising of chi. this would be the reason for the intellectual dullness that we have--because we haven't gained mastery over ourselves (through a buildup of mindfulness, awareness, and concentration) i can confirm this to be true because this past week, i've been meditating consistently and i felt a "high" feeling yesterday the whole day! probably 10% of the high that one feels form a bong rip but still clear evidence for me since this high feeling lasted for the whole day, making for a very enjoyable day! its still there as i write this and i feel that i've elevated my mental state somewhat! im curious to see what my practice will bring a few months from now! i hate the fact that weed is illegal, too--its retarded on so many levels and i think everyone should try it some time in their life... it gives one a glimpse into what meditative experience could BE.
