Mike, Yeah, those are the two. When the practitioners did it, they alternated activating the points over a period of minutes. Being in the resultant state lasted quite a while after the session ended - driving a car was really out of the question! These practitioners worked in tandem with clients, both working at the same time. Funny, when I asked them if they had experienced the state that I was experiencing during and after sessions with them, they both told me that they ALWAYS experienced being in that state when working with people, no matter the client's session needs, points pressed, or other factors. There's a difference between the state I experienced when having these points "activated", and the three days and nights of being in this type of state. During the Jin Shin Do experience state, I was not able to "hear" other people thinking, nor did I have any "knowledge" of the intentions of other people. It certainly lasted much less time (20 minutes, as opposed to 72 =/- hours). It was not nearly as "intense" as the 3 day experience I had, or the other times I seem to flip in and out of this experience without being in a session for body work. During experiences of being in the state without body work, it is very difficult to interact with people in the corporeal plane. People often ask if I'm "on something", they state that I am "unnaturally calm". I can't really clearly see my face in the mirror -it's just a haze - once, I wanted to see if my pupils were dilated, or something, but could not see them clearly. I don't look in mirrors very often anymore. Also, when in this state, I have no wants or needs... I do have a vague feeling of hunger or cold or that my body needs some corporeal attention, but it's a very superficial feeling, and accompanied by a distinct awareness of non-attachment -I don't really care if I itch that scratch or eat or drink. Sleeping is a unique experience during these states: the closest I can describe it as, is sort of like bobbing in and out of lucid dreaming, but it's nothing like sleep as I know it. I have been in this state at times, and people have gotten really upset at my appearance; one woman told me that I was glowing, and she was really freaked out. I made a hasty exit because I was really not wanting her to see me like that, and on my way out was trying to think of how to "turn it off" so no one else would see me like that on my way out of the building. I am not uncomfortable with being in this state, for me it feels normal, having experienced it since I was very young. But it seems to be an uncomfortable experience for (some) people who see it; although I'm not attached to other people's baggage and how they choose to handle what they encounter in life -I am aware that keeping a low profile lessens my chances of being consigned to a diet of lab rat food. As much as it would be a giggle to say that this experience is fun, or entertaining, that really isn't the case. I would like to meet other people who experience this phenomenon.

OH! Phore! No Walmart here. And NO iodized salt anywhere... so, I got to looking things up. Guess what? The World Health Organization and Food Agriculture Organization of the UN have joined to form The Codex Alimentarius Commission which was created in 1963 by FAO and WHO to develop food standards, guidelines and related texts such as codes of practice under the Joint FAO/WHO Food Standards Programme. Countries join the program and adopt the Codex voluntarily; the UK is among it's adherents. Codex Alimentarious lists what CAN be added to food or other consumables --anything NOT on the list is NOT allowed. Like iodine (in salt). And that's why I can't find iodized salt here. I found this whole topic very interesting, especially because many nutritional supplements and minerals are NOT in the lists.... not good news for those wishing to be healthy through diet choices. ALL the work we did on the Health Freedom Act back in the late 90's is now washed away by this Codex.

well, ....... *a* homoeopath would say: on day 1 - belladonna 30c, two under the tongue three times in 24 hours, Then: colchicum 30c two under the tongue daily for a week. *an* allopath would say allopurinol by Rx for a few weeks. Practically: Gout is caused by purines in the diet, largely from meat (especially offal in the form of sausages), but also caused by sugar, smoking, coffee, alcohol, (and fatigue, emotional stress and illness, or surgery). The problem with gout is that the uric acid crystals build up in the blood and urine, isn't expelled by the kidneys, and ends up forming nodes composed of urate crystals in the joints which lead to deformed (and eternally) painful and twisted joints. That would make sitting on a mat or meditation bench for hours very distracting. Spiritually, the inner is reflected in the outer.

==================================================================== Well, Mike, The webpages you list are not there, maybe have been moved? So, I can't see what chart you are referring to, nor do I know the names of the points. Can you guide me to another chart, so I can answer your question?

I live in England and am looking to find a store that sells iodized salt. I used to get it at Morrison's supermarket, but they don't stock it anymore and the employee had never heard of iodized salt (huh?). Anyway, anyone know if there's a store in England that stocks it?

Hey, johntrevy, I also had an experience like this, many, in fact. I sometimes had brief episodes of this experience as a child, but thought that everybody did!! Then it happened a few years ago and it lasted three days and nights. I was everywhere at once, and could hear and see everything and everyone everywhere. I often still have this experience, but it doesn't last as long as several days. I oo, experience a sensation of being very tall.... nice, as I am only five feet high!! For a few years I had Jin Sho Do (spelling) or Tibetan accupressure sessions. There are 2 points to press for this experience to be induced. One point is just above the wrist, on the inner arm- I use my left arm and right thumb- , about one third the way up to the inner elbow; you will find it amongst the tendons, at the point where the veins fade from view. If you press it, it will be slightly tender and feel like a thickening under the skin. You will have to press and release several times over a few minutes to activate it. If you alternate pressing that point with another point (the second that I will now list), the effect is much longer and deeper. The second point is at the junction of the wrist, near the outside closest to the thumb; the point is in the fleshy part of the wrist at the end of this bone. I've been looking for for a really long time for other people who've had this experience. For a long while I have thought of it as "bi-location". Seems, stumbling onto your forum, I've found more than a few! http://thetaobums.com/style_images/3/folde...icons/icon1.gif
