  1. Chi in Nature / Mak Tin Si

There's still the distinction between god and buddha, that I don't fully understand. It's not clear to me what is missing in a god that is achieved in buddha nature.
  2. Chi in Nature / Mak Tin Si

Man, that sounds like Scientaology! Sorry, couldn't resist the chance for a pun.
  3. What is the point

That movie (TmoL) has no meaning. Actually not my favorite. Grail was probably the best.
  4. What is the point

On a second thought, it could also be very enjoyable because of an astoundingly high degree of synchronicity or good luck. But then again...I guess too many lucky coincidences could make life boring. Personally I abandoned dreams of living in ficticious realities. I rather want to bring this one closer to the fictitious ones.
  5. Psychic Training

My take on the Hiroshima-Karma-thing: You probably need a lot of good karma to avoid very serious negative influences. Maybe it's not so much that you will only receive according to your karma. Imagine someone ponders on moving to Hiroshima and at the last moment has a bad feeling and decides against it and then the bomb falls. Maybe he got just enough good karma to avoid the consequences. And if he did move there, he probably would begin his next life with a big plus on the karma account. (Provided he was spiritual enough to keep the soul in one piece and enable reincarnation - depends on the belief system you want to apply) To me personally ... karma smells fishy. Maybe it's just an attempt at explaining the cause-and-effect-model involving more types of forces and influences than we know of.
  6. What is the point

If it's the new Abrams version of Star Trek, you probably would be totally confused and still see no point or sense in that absurd life. @Taomeow You sound like you could develop a programming language. Makes me think that this x-of-y is just a popular misuse like so many others in our language. Weird, crazy, creative playing with language. What does "sacred" mean? Isn't it just another 'empty' concept? @Scotty Did you ever watch Monty Python's The Meaning of Life?
  7. Chi in Nature / Mak Tin Si

You're not alone with that. My impression is - please excuse my sarcasm, meant humorously - that he always knows the current exchange rate of Dollar to Karma. Yoda can probably tell you a lot (EDIT: Wow, he's quick! ); He switched from Kunlun to 'MTS'. I got the impression that at least some of it is indeed legit/powerful. Probably needs a deep devotion of the target person to work though. You know ... when do we ever get only pro's without con's in life?
  8. @goldisheavy Of course I can't speak for Leon, but I think you answer is great in many ways. Just wanted to mention that. I hope that compliment won't feed your ego, but I guess you can handle it.
  9. Purge. Erase. Delete.

@Kali Yuga Have you ever considered that all the 'babble' served the important purpose of bringing you to your current conclusions? You sound like you think it was all useless, but where would you be today without all that? Many people probably would never have gotten into spirituality without this 'babble'. As I occasionally say: To get from A to B, you have to start at A. Or like others say it: Accept the current conditions, don't reject/hate them. Don't try to escape them. It's only an impression I get, but many people who make good progress on the way towards enlightenment begin to downplay everything that was before. Maybe this is a kind of trap of the ego/mind/intellect.
  10. John Chang Video

All people claiming those people are frauds are frauds themselves. And this statement itself is dishonest. And the dishonesty in it is fake.
  11. Oliver, humanzee?

You mean, George W. Bush is the father? What's embarrassing about that? Too embarrassing for Oliver? By the way... it would make perfect sense why back then they found only a little bit of human-DNA-containing cells. Human mother + humanzee father. The human error they mentioned was probably not referring to the DNA analysis, but to the mating choice of the mother.
  12. Oliver, humanzee?

Yeah, often documentaries or news reports just leave out the proof and want you to believe everything they say. And it's weird: There he is, Oliver, still alive. Genetic technologies have advanced a lot in the last decades. But no, no second DNA test or anything like that. I don't understand it.
  13. Oliver, humanzee?

There's also the other, very similar possibility. Though it probably would have caused a lot more public awareness of the incident. But when you consider that Oliver felt drawn to the company of humans, but not of monkeys... Hm... this thought depends on how one interprets the f-word.
  14. @TheSongsofDistantEarth No good approach to encourage not talking politics here right after commenting on the topic in so many words. @jK Isn't the Windows task manager sufficient? It shows the CPU load (of each core separately). I don't understand your problem with CPU load, though. There are perfectly harmless reasons for some things using a lot more load than others. -------------- By the way ... the totally obvious anti-democratical rule called "european constitution" or "EU reform treaty", achieved through actively and officially ignoring the will of the people and using adaptive bribery of non-conformant countries is now to be enacted in December. All people should consider all consequences of it illegal. Although ... if you consider all consequences of all illegal actions ever done, then every aspect of the live of every human being on earth would be totally illegal by now. So let's at least try to build a better future, realizing that the past is not so important in terms of legal matters. Then it can only get better, because as I said, it's all illegal anyway. All that matters is the will of the people.
  15. Skull and Bones

And now connect the words "President of the United States of America" to that bunch of people.
  16. I've heard that removing amalgam fillings can significantly improve some energetic practices. I know a lot of fascinating things about gold and also did research on dental materials and their pro's and con's. Now I'm considering a small gold filling (high grade, palladium-free). There would then be no other metal in my mouth, so no problem with electricity. Is there anything known about positive or negative effects of mostly pure ( and non-'monatomic' ) gold being in permanent contact with the body's organism? And could the electric effect spread to the whole body, e.g. would wearing silver jewelry increase oxidation when one has gold in the mouth?
  17. Thanks. I will read it all tomorrow. Did a lot more research today. Hydroxylapatite, which IS dental enamel, has been experimentally used for fillings since at least 2005, and is included in some tooth pastes, and is used for bone repair, implants and that stuff, BUT apparently not yet available at dentists! The simplest, most obvious solution, but first we have to endure decades of products from 'poison mixers'. The best I could find so far is "Diamond Crown". Said to be virtually fully bio-compatible with no harmful effects, but no sufficient info about the ingredients from Diamond. They say, no harmful stuff included, but they should show what IS included and let me judge for myself. I mean, surely it's patent-protected, so they can openly say what's in it. Annoying, but what else to do? Very seldomly there are solutions without any downsides. I hope my dentist offers application of that stuff, or I'll have to find a dentist who does. Personally I don't know a single dentist who has my sympathy. I'm a bit disappointed that a naturopath-dentist didn't at least mention Diamond and instead regularly uses Tetric (with electro-acupuncture allergy test beforehand). And I wonder what he'd recommend if I was allergic to Bis-GMA, because that's in nearly all dental resins. (three things about Tetric: estrogen-like bisphenol-a-derivatives, fluoride ions (at least not sodium fluoride, so maybe this one could be OK, although it could make the teeth TOO brittle) and the major ingredient is !barium! glass, which is somewhat instable in water!) update: regarding tooth soap and regeneration: I wonder how well damages to the enamel are repaired, i.e. whether the original shape is reconstructed ... and how. Theoretically it would probably be totally harmless then to leave the tooth like it is after removing a filling, provided the damage doesn't reach the dentine. update 2: Some of my teeth have small damages, and they still look the same after years, so at least in the current state there's no regeneration of the original tooth form.
  18. Now I am reading about many problems causes by dental gold, not only alloy metals in it, but also gold itself. Allegedly it remains in the tissue and is almost impossible to remove later. Adding to that the claim that - even after amalgam removal - remaining hydrogen (CORRECTION: mercury) can cause even more trouble with the newly added gold. My dentist said my filling is way too tiny for an inlay; that it would be problematic to do because of several reasons. But what I've read about dental resins sounds horrible, too. Seems like I have to make a compromise because the lobby for a truly biocompatible solution is not powerful enough. Maybe the composites at least leave the body shortly after. But there's also formaldehyde used in the gluing process and that's also hard to get rid of. Who knows - maybe my resin fillings are causing trouble for years and not the amalgam (alone). Often it's really hard to find a way not to be poisoned. Much has to be changed in the world in this regard. I don't suppose anybody here knows about alternative dental resins? Like one that is not specially designed to emit fluoride all the time to begin with?
  19. Hm, seems to depend on the chemical compound. There are different kinds of cyanides. In the lab case it probably was more of the kind like the ones optimized for poisoning people. At least you don't have to worry so much about the stones of fruits and almonds. 0,1 mg for every kg body weight each hour can be rendered harmless by the average human body. Some time ago I ate one plum stone each day, and many people eat peach stones (and dried peaches) as cancer-countermeasures.
  20. Well, even if there are traces of cyanide left (which would reduce the purity and would have to be declared - but I think with dental gold special care is applied to avoid things like cyanide), the body can handle them relatively well. I't almost like with ethanol. The body has an enzyme for it. You can eat several bitter almonds (containing amygdalin) a day without any problem. It might even be healthy due to the products of the enzymatic reaction.
  21. I Want to Quit My Bank

Actually it's not correct to call them lenders, since they don't lend anything. They simply generate money out of nothing and want more back from you for that, and because there can't be more, a mortgage basically is a contract where one side agrees to give away material wealth in exchange for something that is pure phantasy and thus will vanish at the end of the contract. BTW I've read that 'wise quote' before. Is it from her or originally from someone else?
  22. Zhan Zhuang Standing information

Soccer players sometimes practice a "holding-your-balls"-posture, usually standing in a row. But I think they don't try to build up energy, but to keep excessive energy away from the sacral chakra.
  23. Andrew Lum/Patrick Moon contact

Doesn't that depend? Can't it also be an act of compassion? And compassion moves away from ego. Had to live with? No regard for the people who love and respect him? Hey, didn't you think that maybe this was totally intentional and exactly something he wanted to teach you? The bad feelings you might have had when you heard of his death are attachments. It was a test, nothing more. Of course it can hurt, but if you still have after-effects about it, then ... well maybe you shouldn't. And don't say you haven't been warned. Max himself says that he's a coyote (=trickster).
  24. Andrew Lum/Patrick Moon contact

Sifu means teacher, but we are all teachers and students in various areas. Sifu is used to express respect, but we should all respect each other. ... Max doesn't want to be called Sifu. Personality has a multitude of facettes and I'd say is what makes us different on the immaterial plane, so I suspect that even enlightened people who ascend to higher realms of being still have their personality quirks. The "sad and shameful" would perhaps apply more if Mr. Hata was a spiritual teacher instead of a Martial Arts teacher, because it should be obvious that the ego can often be big in Martial Arts, while spirituality deals a lot with the ego-problem.
  25. Alcohol since we can remember

Please explain what it is that I am projecting onto you and why my position is extreme.
