  1. Taoist classics (free download)

@vortex It's not a BitTorrent, it's a file available on the eMule/KAD network. It is 123 MB in size ... too big for my webspace. And I can't supply a useful torrent, because I have dynamic ip address. Maybe I'll register at DynDNS again, but currently I don't have motivation for that.
  2. gold dragon body

Says who? ... God? ... Pffffh! Maybe you misunderstood and he materialistically ascended.
  3. Actually ... I know what numerology is, but not very much more about it. The 999 just caught my eye ... like it happens startingly often to me! Sorry, I'm not in Toronto and I'm a monkey. Good luck with your search for hu and long! ... By the way... The symbols in your avatar picture are interesting. I see a helicopter delivering a big crate next to a cactus, a frightened man running across a zebra crossing fleeing from a hatchet, a snake near a transformer that sprays sparks and one of those airport runway guys who wave flags in front of planes.
  4. For a Taoist

When I just analyze the words logically, desire is the feeling of wanting something and attachment is an emotional tie to something you either already have or ... desire. So attachement is a higher-level term that CAN include desire. I often think about how people enslave themselves by their dependencies, and I'd say dependencies are attachements. Dependencies are conditional. You might stop being dependent to something when you just decide so. An idea, a belief, can lead to attachements. Maybe the are attachements themselves.
  5. any1 know any real numerology and whatnot

I was about to start a thread about numerology, but I can warm this one up. In another forum I've read about things that might occur on the path to awakening, and some time ago I began to get the impression that rows of similar numbers occured more often than could be called coincidental. Sometimes I think it was me looking for them, but sometimes it was just startling. Because lately I'm getting tired of not understanding all the things I learn about, I just noticed them and didn't try to interpret. At one point I wondered whether they might not so much tell something new, but just what already is, like milestones at the side of the road.
  6. Military?

About Nan Huai-Chin: Considering that he was a commander, he could have quite some influence. I see the philosophical question here: Should you distance yourself from 'bad' things or should you take part to chance things to the better? I always find it sad when sincere politicians leave office because of all the corruption there, because with them leaving, it definitely won't get better. OK, sometimes they can't do anything, but often enough they seem to do it out of some debatable feeling of decency.
  7. Taoist classics (free download)

@pullybone That's why I already use PG2. But thanks for the info for beginners. My idea was mainly intended for people who use it anyway. After all... If you're not downloading ... say ... blockbuster movies from 2009, you're safe. I'm using it for educational/research purposes. I wonder who's providing all the upload bandwidth that causes BT to be so fast. I prefer BT, but some things aren't available there, and then I usually find them on eMule.
  8. Do you believe in numerology? Because this is your post No. 999.
  9. Now to add some supporting info ... @joeblast Germany and the most 'green' country ... that's partly wishful thinking and propaganda. Since you can connect spraying and such to 'saving the climate', you can't even rely on the people to be appalled by their activities. I don't know whether there's a specific law about weather manipulation in Germany, but the UN(?) at least agreed that there should be no warfare using methods that have a permanent effect on the weather/climate and similar things. And the 'chaff' they released there, expecially in that amount, could be detrimental to health of peple and nature. The military is lying bluntly when they say this is normal countermeasure activity for training purposes. But - like one can expect - we know that the lawsuit didn't have success, because look at this very recent weather report from the same area, with a very informed weatherman: (It's in German, but you don't have to understand it to get what was going on there. Important part between 0:28 and a minute.)
  10. Taoist classics (free download)

Because the download site is kinda 'ad-infested' and wants cookies, I made a ZIP archive containing all PDF files with the complete titles as filenames and made it available via eMule. I will keep it online for some days and see whether there is demand and the download priority works. I got the feeling that it won't be any good, but it's an experiment. If it helps... I am on eDonkeyServer No2 (212.63.206.35:4242) but also have KAD active. UPDATED version from RT's post below: The file name is "Taoism - Tao texts - Taoist classics (english and_or chinese).zip".
  11. Hope...

I hope this doesn't sound arrogant, but to me this text in parts sounds pretty un-enlightened. Let me just say for now that, while the general idea is nice, I recognize old, well known fallacies in it. Too much believing-to-know, glorious concepts and set goals. winpro07, I agree with what you wrote last. We should at least consider about the 'people in power' that they have to fight with their own demons and might not be the evil supervillains we imagine, but are just fucked up pretty badly and thus needing our compassion. What should be kept in mind about that: It is possible to tame a snake, but if you try, you really should wear protection.
  12. Eggs

Probably humans. Well, the chinese and african, anyway. Out current system destroys everything. Let more and more people want organic food and you will get the perversion of mass produced organic food and of course more and more fraud. BTW I tink this thread belongs to the "Off Topic" forum.
  13. I would compare the total mess/confusion about chemtrail identification with the question what the climate does. I bet most of the chemtrails are just contrails. Contrails behave differently in lower altitude than in higher altitude and sometimes they say chemtrails spread more, sometimes they don't spread but stay for hours. Like I said, it's a mess. And I don't even think that takes intentional misinformation. A lack of serenity when dealing with these matters is enough. I wish people wouldn't overact. Every bit of bullshit out there does its part in creating a more or less public image about the chemtrails matter. Personally, I wouldn't blame even the most evil tyrannic dictatorship for something that they are not guilty of, because it would backfire. Sometimes we feel we need to disregard truth to achieve important goals like e.g. to survive, but we shouldn't get comfortable with it. By the way... they must have developed the technology to do it without planes, because the sky here is hazy, but there are no trails.
  14. US history is made...

I'd prefer the intuitively more democratic model that is - to my knowledge - practiced in Switzerland: All parties are part of the government, with the respective fraction of their votes. With the usual system it applies what someone once said: Democracy is nothing but the suppression of the minority by the majority.
  15. Integral Seminar State World Forum

Yeah, exactly the problem. You could post that here: http://www.thetaobums.com/Thoughts-on-Cons...rder-t9500.html
  16. Congratulations! You have an empty mind.
  17. This afternoon I went outside for about two hours and combined Kunlun 1 with sungazing, so I had my feet right on the ground and an additional energy input from the eyes. After a while I could stare at the evening sun with completely opened eyes. No pain, not even discomfort. My tailbone was buzzing, my spine, my feet and the equivalent of roughly 100 Volts were buzzing in my hands - interestingly mostly in the lower area around the ring finger and the pinky. This was the strongest sensation of energy flow so far. I had to do closedown to bring the energy down for so long that I became impatient. Does the sunlight entering through the eyes result in yang chi or something, or is is simply a biochemical input? I experienced some visual phenomena and I think it's purely physical due to the sungazing, but maybe you know them. I won't go into color alteration in the center, because that's simply an unbalanced use of R-G-B in the eye. But I had color or brightness shifts at the clouds near the sun. Bright became dark and the other way around, quickly changing. And sometimes, and also when looking at clouds, there were a kind of half-circular irregular dark thin wavefronts moving from outside towards the center of my view in a halo-like pattern, the whole phenomenon limited to the inner third of my view.
  18. Combined Kunlun 1 and sungazing

The first time I did sungazing in the I-Jong posture. I definitely noticed the 'internal alchemy' of Kunlun there, because before the meditation I would not have been able to do this. Of course I need a few minutes of squinting to get used to the sun's intensity, but I feel it's more the meditative state that then enables me to sungaze. It feels good to notice how my visual apparatus is able to quickly channel the incoming energy into the body. And the sun gives me an incentive for doing it outside, where I have a much better grounding than indoors on the first floor. By the way... I got moderately bouncing legs again. Something I haven't got from pure K1 lately. And the left leg was more intense, which might have happened in order to compensate for the additional yang input from the sun. And the gag in all of it ... It was a 'successful' Kunlun meditation in extemely brightly lit environment with noises and things happening around and with eyes wide open. The kind of meditative state where you concentrate on a single thing. You could say, I meditated on the sun. My only thought during that time was that the sun is an electromagnetic plasma phenomenon where the atmosphere is millions of K hot and the surface a mere 6000 K. Have you got the eyeballs for sungazing? Power to the pupil!
  19. The descriptions are always so vague: Not kundalini, more yin-ish, magnetic, divine. Isn't it simply the said-to-be highest form of chi, the "ling chi" that is also used in Reiki?
  20. Kunlun energy simply ling chi?

From a comparison of the mentioned terms it get this picture: linq chi (chinese) = akasha (japanese) = Shakti (indian) = orgone / zero point- / space- / quantum vacuum- / life-energy et. al. I admit it's complex, it's just that the descriptions of ling chi seem to match those of the other terms. Yin could simply be the unrefined form of this divine energy while yang is the unrefined form of Kundalini. Very interesting matter, these stages of quality of energies. One connection between spirituality and technology that might lead to insights in both fields is that it is said the efficacy of a "Joe Cell" can be diminished by negative emotions practiced near it.
  21. Some days ago I experimented with Golden Flower for quite some time, but the typical effect didn't occur, so I began to assume that the additional practices in the book make no sense before having met Max, but now it helped. During Kunlun 1, I no longer had bouning legs, but also didn't feel any energy flow. Like dried up, reached a dead end. I couldn't avoid mild frustration about that. This time, after I felt that my hands had become slightly energetic/magnetic, I started Golden Flower and did it for many minutes. Again no 'final effect', but man, did it boost my system! The leg-bouncing was back - and strong! My pulse accelerated and I just told me to keep it smooth and not hurry. I did several upward movements with the mudra, and one time kept it at head level and that had an increasing effect over time. Several times I had a faint, strange sensation at the touching point between the eyebrows (hard to describe - like the skin under the thumbs was moving). Usually during the upwards movement, when I reached heart level, the legs stopped bouncing, and every time this happened, I could feel a powerful, smooth energy flow in my torso, and when I then moved to the final position, it had the greatest effect. And the technique that Yoda described several times - re-opening the feet by spreading the toes - always gives me a kind of instant upwards energy impulse. After thorough closedown I'm still feeling a little bit spacey now and my eyes are - without any effort - wide open.
  22. Golden Flower boosted my K1

Tried the same again. No 'special effects' this time. Kunlun sessions really are unpredictable.
  23. BTW this joke is just too good to not be told and it fits here. Dunno whether you already knew it... Dolphins are gay sharks.
  24. A story to enlighten people ... to broaden their intellectual horizon ... to show that animals are not so different from humans. It's harder to ignore when they can do something cool that you can't. What they should do now just for fun, or as an experiment, or as a 'gift of joy', is to videotape this in good quality and show it to freely living dolphins all around the world. Then again ... maybe they already know it and nobody has watched them doing it out there, yet.
