  1. This guy sounds enlightened to me.

There's an option in the profile settings (ignore section) for turning signatures on and off.

I wanted to say that despair works, too, but I guess when faced with despair, fighting to keep going could actually mean weakness in the face of fears, while giving up (= surrender, which can lead to enlightenment) could be considered courageous, because that way one overcomes fear (=worldly attachment).

Being bald is all the cou-rage.

So the guy was a heroin addict, huh? Tell him: "No risk, no ibogaine".

What is also important though is fertile soil. Some seeds are planted, but are taken by mold if they don't germinate swiftly. When opportunities to plant powerful seeds are rare, it is wise to honor them by giving them proper care. When fear is abundant in a person, memories of love can fade away.

Love and fear both multiply when shared. Whatever you live, that you radiate.

It's a funny thing with emotional distance. Not easy to tell whether someone lacks empathy or doesn't actively let things into their heart or whether they're just very spiritually evolved. Personally, if I had read a story like that, I'd have thought: They were rescued. That's good news. Too bad that the perpetrators are probably in way too deep to be able to be rescued.

When taking a piss, chances are very high that one isn't looking for enlightenment.

Fun fact: Attaining compassion for 'evildoers' is something you don't even need a spiritual experience for. Personally, I reached it through plain and simple investigation of worldly affairs that then kinda led me into spiritual studies, which mostly just solidified and further explained and deepened the reasoning. To me, compassion is a rational function of social intelligence. The mind is the controller and the thing that decides how much the heart is allowed to open.

Kinda related to what I experienced during one of my ayahuasca trips. With the difference that I probably was more overwhelmed and 'gave up' instead of courageously being ready to face death and, not sure whether related to that or not, didn't remember much of the enlightened part, only that I did experience that 'everythingness'. If I had a trip like that again these days, I'd probably interpret certain things differently, with less misunderstanding, and thus less fear.
  11. I'm just writing about my experience here and then if you can share related/similar experiences, it might help in understanding things. Always nice to share our adventures on the path. After my profound ayahuasca experience, I had several trippy (and scary) dreams, and when I woke up from those, I had a moving colors sensation for a minute or so when having my eyes closed. I nicknamed it "the projector matrix". It is a somewhat square-based animation of expanding rings of colors, and it gradually begins to become smaller (meaning more squares in the field of vision) in the time after the dream. I thought it gone, but a few days ago I had another not-really-trippy wannabe-nightmare* and after waking up, there was the projector matrix again. *) It was a dream where I was lying down and had difficulty turning my view around, but forced it and things were kinda shadowy there and then I woke up. That was the second dream recently where I actively and energetically confronted fear upfront, effectively not even acknowledging the experience as frightening, making it feel more like kicking nightmare-butt. ... I was actually disppointed that I woke up. Seems like those cowardly fears are hiding from me, haha.
  12. Any conclusive insights about this? It seems some people have extensive phases of not remembering any dreams. Then sometimes dream activity is enormous. "What does it mean?", I wonder. While it might be worthwhile to examine a possible habit of not waking up directly after a dream, we don't ONLY remember dreams we wake up from, so that can't explain all of it.
  13. A good first clue. Thanks. Hm, I guess it's not because the sleep phase is too short and thus not entering REM sleep. After all, one can just take a brief nap and still dream.

Looks like someone needs to empty their cup.
  16. Borgeoise culture

I know it's a complicated word, but that makes it even more of a tempting challenge to master, so let me correct you: "bourgeoisie" A broken digital clock is right all the time.
  17. I wanted to tell about an experience that IIRC I had once or twice before, and maybe some dream/sleep/consciousness experts can give some insightful input. I woke up, after relatively little sleep. Wasn't sure whether to get up (tired) or continue sleep (didn't feel like falling asleep either). So I turned the lights on and after a while happened to fall asleep anyway. Then I was (apparently/probably) dreaming that I was trying to move / get up. I grabbed the alarm clock, wanting to read the time, but couldn't read what it showed because (I thought) my eyes weren't really open. I saw enough to grab the clock, but I felt so incredibly tired that trying to open my eyes was a futile struggle. Then I woke up and I was in exactly the same position as when the 'dream' started, before I grabbed the clock. The room, the lighting, it was all identical in dream and reality. The supposedly last thing I saw before falling asleep transitioned right into the dream state. But naturally I don't exactly remember the moment of falling asleep, so I'm not sure whether I moved at all during sleep. My position suggested that none of the arm movements transitioned into the physical. It was interesting, and as I said, I had this phenomenon of reality bleeding into the dream state before, apparently triggered by falling asleep again with the lights on.

  20. What are "you" ?

It's pointless to list everything that I am. The list would be virtually infinite.
  21. I'm wondering whether incidents like this might have anything to do with energy body separation, and/or whether there might even be sleeping with open eyes involved.
  22. What are "you" ?

    Please specify.
  23. Thoughts on Ukraine / Russia Debacle?!

Especially the "EU Constitution". It is undemocratic as hell. The people of some country (whose government is based on an undemocratic law) were never allowed to vote for it. Some government allowed voting but when they didn't get their way ditched that idea. Some government just repeated the voting process until the results were as desired.
  24. Venezuela?

Forget the insiders perspective. If you encounter a very vocal Venezuelan internet-active person ranting about the evil government, it's just a sheeple. Well, I can give you a rich and concise answer, but it takes some time on your part. Since you seem inquisitive though, here you go: current events http://www.venezuelanalysis.com Starting with this one might be a good idea though: http://venezuelanalysis.com/analysis/10533 past events (for better understanding of current events) ("The Revolution Will Not Be Televised")
