Has anyone heard goldisheavy say anything positive about anyone or anything? Other than goldheavy himself of course

Gita, circulation...hmmm...not too sure on that one! Also, Gita is not a Sutra but rather a scripture/text. Not sure if you were referring to Yoga Sutra of Patanjali??

A simple search gave me several Falun threads: http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?showtopic=4405&hl= http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?showtopic=3940&hl= http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?showtopic=3809&hl= Most spoke only about the cultish tendency and the associated politics. But the following post spoke specifically about the technique: But someone said the following as well: Seth, What I was trying to evaluate was the usefulness of the technique itself. Minus all the cult BS, you seem to suggest that the Qigong part is actually good. But did you stick to Falun gong alone for 2 years? If you did not and are still doing okay, that would mean that the "wheel getting corrupted by doing other practices" warning issued by the Falun folks is not true after all. But as some people seem to have experienced some sort of an implant (the futi?), I am not sure how seriously this warning of total exclusivity is to be dealt with. Thanks again for sharing your feedback.

Would be very interested to know if any of the Bums have had good experience with any of the distance healers. Any recommendations? Thanks and Blessings

I am currently traveling in India and Tibet and trying to find places that have frequently appeared during meditation and in dreams. It all started when I took an initiation from Paramhans Satyananda Saraswati of Bihar School of yoga. Gloria Grace, a gifted psychic did a past life regression and these visions became much more meaningful. I am almost shocked to actually see some of those places I saw around Western India. As of now, I think visiting those places has been immensely useful. If you ask me how exactly, I don't think I can describe that in words as of now

Does he offer both? I though Master Chunyi Lin himself did just the phone session and his students did the distance session.

Started by a guy called Eric Pearl. There is a lot of stuff on his web site, but I have to admit I didn't read much. Some of my yoga students keep telling me how wonderful this technique is. I tried to search TTB and saw that Mal was contemplating doing the reconnection at some point. Not sure if he went for it. They do two things: reconnective healing and the reconnection itself. The second one has something to do with activating 22 strand DNA, reconnecting the internal fabric and stuff like that. Was not very convinced on this front. But the healing seems to have many good testimonials.

Anyone tried reconnective healing/reconnection?

Thanks Yoda for sharing that info... I did a bit of Reiki a few years ago but didn't get into it really. Have not focused specifically on healing through my practices either, especially healing others. A dear friend is now diagnosed with some sort of a cancer and she wanted help finding a distance healer. And she sends her heartfelt thanks to all of you as well...

Thank you both ...

Haven't met Santi or even talked. But I understand Shakti as the very self (yeah, non-self is a non-concept for me ) and can feel the same genuine Shakti in him. Shakti does not lie. Great going brother... -
Namaste Have been following the forum for several years now... Trained with Ken Cohen, Chunyi Lin, Sifu Zhixing Wang and Zendi Wu and other masters for which I am immensely grateful. Have tried to cultivate for over 30 years now with moderate success. Also dabbled with Kunlun for about a year now before moving over. Primary practice is Hindu Goddess Tantra and Surya yoga. Feels great to finally be an official Tao Bum.. Love you all... Rick

Agree with you 100% brother!

Very True and you hit the nail! This seems to suggest: greater the discomfort, greater the hardship, greater the benefit? But this seems contradictory to Kunlun's mission statement. Ratziel Bender speaks at length on the futility of "no pain no gain" approach. First, we need to separate healing reactions from other categories of discomfort. I am using an umbrella term discomfort to mean various unpleasant/undesirable experiences one counters during cultivation. Healing reactions are to be expected and a teacher can generally guide the disciple to minimize the suffering during the cleanse period. It does not seem practical to say: You are having healing reactions, just deal with it - and abandon the novice. And then we make the mistake of mixing up healing reactions with discomfort caused due to various other reasons including incorrect practice, technique etc. This is what can really cause issues. Is it practical to expect a novice to deal with them or even try and distinguish between the two without help from the master? One can certainly talk about higher self, letting the tao take care and all that but the Masters of the Yore rarely prescribed such an approach. Master Nan Huai Chin talks about an example related to the awakening of Kundalini. Most traditions describe intense heat and pain during the awakening and assume these to be the characteristics of the awakening or reactions. But these are simply ill effects of incorrect practice or an incorrect technique where either the shakti is awakened prematurely or forcibly. With some precautions, some tips and some apt guidance from an adept, much of the discomfort can be avoided. I say this out of personal experience. This is probably the reason why those training with Santiago report pleasant experiences. Like Nan says: "Every little bit helps". Scotty got on this thread advice, seemingly mystic but difficult to follow nevertheless! He was told to smile, throw out fear from kidney, develop faith that Kunlun energy is the ultimate and what not! Except the first advice which is to smile, I don't see anything else that he can practically follow to help himself. All the great masters who I have been fortunate to come across spoke less, spoke clear & crisp words, spoke to the point, and putting their words into practice was possible. Remember, we are not talking about the stage of advaita where the adhyasa is overcome and the brahman is realized as the self - which obviously cannot be expressed sufficiently through words. But instead, we are talking here about energetic phenomena and techniques which effect or actuate them. These are all physical phenomena, no matter how esoteric we try to sound, and can be precisely expressed in words by an adept who has walked the path. Except the state of the final beatitude, where the state of reveling in the Self cannot be expressed in words or thought (on account of the state being devoid of sound, names, forms, energy or vibration), every other state is essentially dualistic, external and thus expressible through sensory agencies.

Well, this could be your assumption!

Not always When people have no clue what they are talking about, what they say sometimes sounds like a riddle... a riddle none should be wasting time on ...

So how would one describe Max if he does not fit into any of these categories? All of this, none of this, or simply not fitting any stereotypes? To an extent, on the lines of the Falun group, but on a much smaller scale. I will try and find that post by some chap who actually wrote here that he sensed some not-so-friendly entities around him during Kunlun sessions. His nick was silicon chip or somethin. When I spoke to Jenny, I innocently questioned her in this regard (aliens etc....I actually believe in such stuff ) and the reply she gave was...well forget it... I am not in mood to get chided by freeform for being melodramatic If one is bothered about such stuff and is worried if these are associated with Kunlun (or Yi Gong), I suggest talking to Jenny. And please, post here truthfully what you hear I guess Chris has been taking notes based on some feedback here Changes to the Kunlun website now seem like a strong possibility! Does anyone have a saved copy of the website? You never know, some of us may miss all the fun and the alternate take on reality once the site gets sanitized.

Please ... give me something new Scotty and Freeform running to Cam's defence... the same bunch of Kunluners out to silence a few voices of reason? Sounds familiar! And freeform, are you kidding? Long standing and too much of writing is not wisdom...is it?
