Well, that you think you should "advice" people and that the advice is beneficial is where the root of the problem lies! Like every other post, you contradict yourself by saying you know not much about the practice, its history or energetics but still consider yourself capable of giving advice nevertheless! Moreover, when advice is thrown freely and unasked, into an open arena, one should learn to deal with the resulting criticism with some maturity. And words are not always the issue; the intent and the energy projected though are of concern as they influence the listener or reader. That a self professed beginner wants to advice and through highly assertive and declarative statements is simply condescending. [Friends, best friends, not friends, won't post, will post, will advice] = not letting go <-> Kulun? May be - Tao? I doubt And you should stop threatening you won't post anymore! Doesn't get laughs any more Take care ..

Some of your posts, in this very thread, don't seem to comply with this statement. The problem has been that even constructive criticism or valid questions - that seem unpleasant to Kunluners or questioning the authority, sincerity or any other relevant aspect of Kunlun's entourage - have been grouped with Patrick Brown/Spirit Ape stuff, which is totally incorrect. These probably deserved some space and thought, if not to the extent to which Chris marketed the technique here. And a neutral and unattached view would not have permitted this to happen. I am glad that the "don't question, try it or leave it, do it yourself" kind of attitude is no longer the dominating one. The technique and the book were marketed on this forum, and it is but natural that people are going to ask questions. More so, if one is considering paying up for the seminar. That really is not the issue. The issue is with some statements that were made glorifying the technique and the teacher and suggesting this was THE one. And most such statements did not start or end with IMO, IMHO or I think so. And such statements came within weeks of practicing Kunlun or seeing Max. Let's be practical ... inner instincts or whatever we want to rely on, does get influenced with the hype, marketing and stuff. If one would like to take credit for introducing a group to a something good, the share of bad from those who were harmed by it cannot be ignored. An over enthusiastic attempt to express solidarity with Chris/Max has mostly found an incorrect expression on this forum. You seem to change your statements soon. This is exactly the kind of statements I was referring to. Some may like to do something based on their gut and some others don't. When there are too many don't knows and won't tells or will tell stories, some don't feel comfortable. And what really is the criteria to state something like the above for "anyone" when the space is filled with "don't knows"? Why should one claiming to not know most of the stuff associated with Kunlun, jump at those asking questions and scream: "Let it go, let the practice speak for itself, max is a bodhisattva and what he says should be right"? We can stay quiet if we don't know the answer and let someone who knows asnwer? Why the compulsive need to reply to anything and everything about Kunlun? Is this again a way of expressing goodwill to Max and crew? It simply beats me ... Let's assume those with "I don't know" said only relevant things and things they knew to an extent. If that were the case, Kunlun folks (Max and entourage) would not assume that Taobums could serve as a Kunlun community for those who wanted to work with the book alone (He made that statement on this very forum) and leave folks to the mercy of good Lord. They would then probably have a section of their community opened up for those using the book alone, taken more time to answer questions and answer them seriously or at least state clearly, "If you attend less than a dozen seminars or practice with the book alone, you could be in trouble and you won't have any help from someone who knows alchemy but for some infatuated talk on Taobums". It's no secret that Taobums was responsible to a large extent for the selling of the Kunlun book as also the rise in the number of Kunlun seminars. And why can't the same Taobums question when the consumers of Max's products are unhappy with the followup service? Why should someone be beaten to death and made to stop posting on this forum altogether for questioning the "One seminar is enough propaganda" (I don't remember the name of the lady who stopped posting after a discussion in this regard)...

I fast twice a month, on the eleventh day of the Hindu Calendar - in both halves of the lunar cycles. The level of energies are certainly greater for almost 3 or 4 days after the fast. After 16 years of fasting, it is almost impossible to go without the fast. I was however told to simply meditate on the day of fast and not do any kundalini-specific stuff like serpent breathing or something. The fast during the bright half of the month is to simply live on water. During the other one, I eat fruits for lunch and drink some milk at night... I did face colds, constipation, diarrhea and stuff when I started but they disappeared within about 3 months.

Thanks Cameron for walking this extra mile And apologies for all that you've had to endure On a more serious note, even a Guru-centric culture such as Hinduism does not recommend accepting everything the teacher says or placing the teacher above the teaching. Not that someone's doing that here, just felt like saying ... I hope you only mean the last time in this thread. sarvejanaa sukhino bhavantu

I should say I have no clue. I did not study with Jenny. All I am aware of is what Max has written in his book. I am not sure if she has begun teaching the advanced level, which she said Max was unaware of. I did not at that point ask her how "important" this missing piece was after she said it was "important". My purpose of talking to her was to mainly seek help with my practice, and she did offer whatever she could. All this "extra" talk just happened. As for the golden body, I still don't understand conceptually what it is, so I won't say anything about it. Sifu Zhixing Wang once talked about it, but not sure if what he said is of any relevance within the Kunlun context.

Just Kidding.... truly loved your book.... And you're totally right about the questions part. But I guess questions have always been discouraged in Kunlun, at some level if not explicitly. There probably is a valid reason for this based on the nature of the practice itself, but that certainly doesn't help all kinds of beginners.

Joe, You seem to be saying the exact stuff I wanted to say at one point in time when repeated emails to the concerned person fetched no reply and my nerves were going crazy with Kunlun. I was told attending seminar was the only way to get help. Unfortunately, my commitments did not permit that. And the aggressive marketing for the seminar, excessive focus on stuff like people emitting light or flying up and down - accompanied by a rude refusal to help without attending a seminar was a big turn-off. Sifu Chunyi lin was of great help in fixing me up. What did the harm and how much, I won't get into at this point as that will not do any good to anyone. Reason for that is the lack of established and verifiable facts and a deep respect for Sifu Lin. If you notice closely, the initial advertising line of "Book is all you need. 100 days of celibacy can sort of make up for transmission" has now been replaced with "The book is at most an accompaniment and is simply complimentary to the seminar". There has been some thinking behind this I guess....good this has been stated... But yes, your question of what after "one" seminar still remains. The Kunlun community here has been hardly helpful, at least for me, except for some of Yoda's stuff, well-meaning, practical and devoid of "let go, feel love, see through inner eye, smell the armpit blah blah". The whole problem is that practitioners are stating their experience or points of view as the right ones or as that of Max/Jenny. Whether unintentionally or not, those who need to remain silent when they do not know what they are talking about, are trying to speak for Max. While it is the responsibility of the questioner to carefully choose from a long list of suggestions, I don't think it is incorrect to expect the supposedly senior practitioners to show some consideration by not saying stuff they have no clue about. So I doubt if this Kunlun community can serve the needs of all categories of novices. I did talk to Jenny about 8 months ago and she outright rubbished what she called "Max's story" about the origin of Kunlun. After that lengthy conversation with Jenny Lamb on this issue, the current claim of a feeling of fraternity and all that seems so fake and disheartening! Is no one genuine any more? Is everyone simply out there to make bucks? Well none of my business but just my frustration talking...Moreover, she clearly stated that there was a higher and essential level of Kunlun which Max was not aware of, but she was. She was not teaching that then, but would probably teach when time was right. And she did state that the "missing" part was an important piece of the puzzle. That probably pulled the final trigger and I followed my inner instinct to move over. At the end of the day, it is best to follow one's inner instinct and not jump into something one's uncomfortable with. By the way, after Cameron turned quiet for a while and Scotty took over, I figured Scotty was the new Cameron of TB. But what a pleasant surprise! Both are active on some of the recent threads .... love you both And can a Kunlun thread be complete without giving credit to Freeform and Bindo, the Kunlun gurus ... love you guys too And Ya Mu, you're a great guy as well...love the way you write posts with loads of useful info, never failing to mention your book and workshop schedule
