  1. Why do we disagree so much?

  2. what happens after death?

Waw, I really like they way to tell stuff. An I realize I like to shape up my active english vocabulary. Thank you for refrazing my point. There is one maybe minor detail (words!?) that I like to point out. You say: "..... there is nothing that lives and dies, there is only an unending cycle of simultaneous formation and dissolution." Everything (ther) is, (is) a live - Nothing real is born or going to die

  6. what happens after death?

Death is what occurs along with every single thought, going from one thought to the next. To cling on to that thought is what some refer to as love, others refer to that as fear. In both cases we are stalling the impulse of life, this self expression is building up a momentum, eventually creating the question of a "you" as something different from others and that is what the you are interested in by questioning death as a "final death" and then what.... The "you" is death. It don't understand life because it is not in contact with it, yet it is maintained in a world of life only by defending it self against it through memory, the memory of all creatures that walked the face of earth. The resistance has many names; culture, authority, rules, laws, police, karma, god, weapons, "me", "you", "them", "us", etc.

  8. what happens after death?

True, birth is death but it does not apply to life. It is the birth and death of the thought only. Clinging on to that thought is the name, the ego. Cultivation of this is what we call mind.

  15. In defense of the "I"

True - the "I" is always new. We can not be what we are and know what we are at the same time. The knowledge is what carries us away from being, into becomming, because the "I" is a question, so the knowledge brings an end to that question. By this dilemme we are forced to speculate. Another good reason for the creation of gods. Now they can take care of it

  17. what happens after death?

After death? There is no after death because ther is no death in life. Only what is already dead will die - The mind, your belief, your ideas, gods and so on will die. After death nothing happens. This is not acceptable to the already dead ego. It is accustomed to the idea that it itself is the center of the universe - the source of action in life so it do what it usely does - reacts, only this time on "nothing" - by this mistake it commit suicide. The chain of thoughts are broken and that brings a collapse to the strukture (mind), it falls apart. The body goes on living the way it usually does, however it will undergo a radical transforming in to new shapes. Life goes on, it is not born and it will never cease to exist.
