Hi Chang, Thanks for that. How did you find the home study lessons? i'm interested in this system because well it's a system involving a process and you have a teacher in person for guidance. I have the AYP book, i did the I-Am meditation for about two years, it is a good meditation. But, i'd like to have a guide in person. Thanks! Ed

"Your meditation is getting on my nerves"

Try it, say you are repeating it silently... i would say try it out for real, but mantra is not that great for grounding, at least that is what i've found **edit** i mean mantra meditation.. repeating out loud i found is good-- come to think of it one of the most powerful experiences i had was actually doing the Jesus prayer for four hours after i got nervous at something, and mind became so clear and heart opened up, was really nice! -

Tell him you are doing contemplative prayer sitting quietly while repeating the Jesus prayer! Peace **edit** remember to take off the headphones lol... are you listening to bi-naural beats on them? they are not supposed to be used by people with any mental disorder, they can make it worse man for real seriously.. All the best -
Where to find a genuine qigong master?
Edward M replied to Audiohealing's topic in General Discussion
AudioHealing, I was diagnosed with a severe mental illness 11 years ago and the first thing that really helped me was Scott Sonnon's warrior wellness program. This is because it breaks down the body's armouring and fascia/joint blockages allowing the energy to start circulating freely again. You will feel your body again and be at home in it if you choose to practise it twice a day for half an hour or so. I think he recommends 20 repetitions per movement but i went up to 50 and did them slowly. Next thing is to get the mental focus back and improve working memory as well as regain control over emotions.. i found seated meditation just counting each out breath until you come to ten when you would start at 1 again on the next out breath. It's basic but that is where you are at and what is needed right now. Do this after your warrior wellness session.. i suggest do warrior wellness for 2 weeks before starting this. After 6 months to a year i suggest you use your new found physical relaxation and mental control to start standing in wuji until you are comfortable for 30 mins when you would start holding the ball. The way of energy and the way of power are excellent books for this, but best to also visit a yi quan teacher to learn properly. Here is the updated warrior wellness called intu-flow, it's warrior wellness with some added breathing exercises which are going to amplify the effects: art1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQZrJWeGtH8&feature=related Part 5 - Part 6 - All the best with this.... go for the healing as well if you feel you have to, but this will help the healing as well if you do it before and after... please trust me on this, i know from experience the program i outlined works, and works well!! PEace and merry christmas Ed -
One day an old man told his son about a battle that goes on inside Every person.... He said: The battle is b/w two Wolves inside all of us one is EVIL ... it is Anger, Envy, Sorrow, Regret, Greed, Guilt, Lies and ego The other Wolf is GOOD it is.. Joy, Peace, Love, Humility, Serenity, Kindness, Faith, compassion, hope and truth The son Asked his Father: "Which Wolf Wins?" The Old Man replied: "The One you feed"

Thank you Steve, in my opinion the story represents the core of all traditions and the key to harmony. Merry Christmas to you too Ed

I agree that mantra is a very very good way to build concentration. The Jesus prayer although a prayer can be used as a mantra. Most greek orthodox members chant it throughout the day, not just 3 times. They have had some remarkable results in purification and also kundalini development through the use of this prayer. When you use a mantra it is useful to bare in mind that you connect with everyone who has ever and will ever use the mantra. So whatever tradition you associate yourself with choose a mantra from that tradition if you like. Although all prophets/sages/rishes etc are connected by the light. Jesus was mentioned in old hindu texts as Isha Putra, so i know when/if i use Om Namah Shivaya i'm connecting to Christ as well. It's important to do it daily and if possible at the same time and place each day. Peace Ed

As with any phenomenon experienced during meditation, stick to being mindful of the object of meditation, like the breath or the orbit etc... The phenomenon is not meant to be focused on, it is just an occurrence, a by product of the meditation practice.. Let things be and just practice.. Peace Ed

Thanks Gerard!! Schizophrenia bit was interesting for sure, as well as the other ones... makes me wonder what i've got-- it's been ten years since first episode, yet after both of them i recovered and relatively normal. It seems to be a question of relaxation with me. that or i just respond extremely well to medication, who knows? Cheers mate Ed
