Spiritual Development Does Not Involve Money This is all I got to say on the matter--discuss if you want but i've got nothing else to say. And it's not directed at anybody in particular! peace Ed

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyDkfd3BrTc posting this clip because i want to make the point that genuine good martial artists can aslo have ego trips as well.... which brings me to a question, can you really tread both the martial and the spritual path at the same time? these daoist martial artists who cultivate all seem to lovehurting others physically. maybe it is healthy to be complete or aknowledge you like to hurt people, or on the other hand maybe the two paths just dont go together and you have to renounce violence completely. peace Ed ps could someone post this vieo properley i dont know how to!

Omraam has been a favourite teacher of mine since being introduced to him by my bagua teacher back when i used to practice the art. He was a christian mystic from Bulgaria who settled to teach in France under the orders to go and teach by his teacher the great Master Peter Deunov. They were descendents of the Essenes in Bulgaria who embraced the unity of all religions and human beings on earth. During his mid-teens, Omraam (his initiatic name given to him by a famous Hindu yogi) experienced a profound kundalini awakening while practicing pranayama. He gave talks on in refering to it as particle of the divine entering him and setting him alight. Much of his teaching was focused on Beauty, and especially beauty of the Sun. He would take disciples out in the early hours and gaze at the sun and absorb its divine particles through the eyes into brain and subtle bodies. He had a large moral teaching as well as a good deal of practical exercices to teach. I have many of his books, my favourite at the moment being Cosmic Moral Law,, actually another also equally valued is Know Thyself-jhana yoga. I recomend all who want a good series of books, audio and video to study to go to prosvetta. His teaching will open up a whole new dimension to your spiritual work and relations with others and nature. Indeed his favourite teacher was what he reffered to as the living book of nature! I've included apropriate links below to a new website dedicated to him as well as his publishing site. He died in 1986 being celebate all his life. http://mikhaelaivanhov.org/ http://www.prosveta.com/ peace Ed

Thought you would all enjoy this. Apparently the Women are more accomplished than the men over in Tibet even with a lower status within Tibet. Peace Ed
-
Kate, forgot to mention the lower status means they get next to no funding for the nunneries! but still when times are tough you have to be strong, so good time to cuiltivate strong mind! Ed

Kate, i totally agree with you, was thinking the same thing! Kate & Scott, my pleasure..ENJOY!! Ed

SloppyZhang, thanks very much for that helpfull reply, it is clear! one question, as someone who has made up false memorys in the past (may or may not be an experience of another plane of existence), is it possible kunlun could generate more of these, or on the other hand, could it help clear out the crap that caused them in the first place? the question is open to anyone with a good understanding of energetics or experience with kunlun..cheers!!! Thanks again Sloppy! Ed

Guys, all this is gonna be really confusing for Christoff..lets try to create some agreeable order in our advice to him, he is having a really hard time. Do we all agree on wuji standing (first position in the youtube series i posted the link for)? Do we agree he needs to eat more? Do we agree on some moderate exercise? if so what kind? Do we agree about tcm tonics? if so what kind? Do we agree he needs some faith in a higher power? Tao, God, universal mind, which he can connect to through thought and heart to give him strength and inspiration to carry on striving? peace Ed

Christoff, its never too late man... one thing, allways remember and work with and accept "The dharma of now". I think your problem may be with your legs. Do you do a lot of walking?? nocturnal emissions can be caused by weak/blocked up legs. i suggest zhang zhuang : work with this youtube series on it: http://www.youtube.com/user/StandStillBeFit Seriously i think you need to think positively, without that you will deplete even more jing and not have motivation to continue. just work up day by day little by little..you will thank yourself for it before long! if you have a nocturnal emission, its not the end of the world, you can get it back! standing/zhang zhuang is directly nourishing kidneys so stand, breathe and relax best of luck! Anybody read this book? I got a peak of it on a recent retreat as someone else had brought it along with them. Anyway, purchased it and waiting for it to arrive. Has anyone who has read it got an opinion on the danger of doing this sort of work? Have you had any really positive spiritual experiences from this material? Thanks in advance Ed
-
SfJane, Thanks for writing about your experiences...i've had similar experiences also. I'm gonna send this to my younger sister who was recently diagnosed with bi-polar. Thanks Ed
