So are there no officially recognized Enlightened people on Earth? I was thinking about becoming Enlightened and thought it made the most sense to find the Enlightened people to learn from...
-
I have to agree with that

I've heard of both, and am familiar with people with powers and "abilities" but are they considered Enlightened?

You don't practice Shaolin Cosmos Qigong, so I can't say what your advancement is or is not. Even if you were a Shaolin Cosmos Qigong student I might not be able to say In Shaolin Cosmos Qigong people seem to go through different phases. They are taught not to intellectualize, not to worry and to enjoy the practice. Whether you move or don't move is not the point. And whether you do or don't move doesn't mean one thing or another necessarily. Having said that, in general there tends to be a progression over time from no movement, to movement, to vigorous movement, to less movement, back to very gentle movements/flowing stillness. At the start you don't move because the energy isn't flowing, in the middle you move a lot because the energy is opening a lot of blockages, as you progress there is less movement as the qi is flowing smoothly. But there are tons of exceptions, and I don't know all of the details, the above is just a general rough idea. All the Best, 11:33

Hi, Do any of you have experience taking and/or making medicated wine? You take tonic herbs and put them in a big jar of alcohol for months and then you drink an oz or 2 a day I think...
-
In my opinion, that is just a case of misusing logic (incorrect logic). Neither of those two statements follow logically from what I experienced. Also, I would like to point out I never said that there is no individuality.

Trevcaru, Thank you for explaining what you meant more in full. It makes sense. 11:33

Hi guys, I'm quite interested in Traditional Chinese Medicine. So much so, that I have considered attending school and being a professional. What experiences do any of you have with Traditional Chinese Medicine, whether as the practitioner or as the patient? I am aware that much like qigong there are many schools of Chinese Medicine, outside of the centralized-standardized TCM. Do any of you have any good information on different lineages of Chinese Medicine? Do any of you have solid recommendations for good schools, especially ones with lineage teachings (as opposed to simplified-standardized TCM teachings...) I'd love to hear more about all of this! All the Best

Zhan Zhuang -- What is it? Recommended books?
11:33 replied to DaoChild's topic in General Discussion
When I first took up qigong years ago I started with Zhan Zhuang from The Way of Energy by Lam Kam Chuen. After about a week or so of diligently following the instructions I found myself angry. Very angry and just emotionally a mess. I was upset at people for no reason. I had a lot of blockages in my channels at that time and learning these zhan zhuang exercises was too much for me, they exacerbated the negative. Maybe you would fair differently. I know a lot of people manage to escape the pitfalls. When in doubt, find an instructor to check your posture. -
I always thought red wine was the best choice of alcohols. ... On another note, don't they make medicinal wines using hard liquor? So having some amount of alcohol a day isn't a big deal even for Taoist herbalists, [just don't drink more than one a day??????]

So should I forget about what I know? And then I can go back to not knowing what I know? So then I could pretend you aren't connected to me? Seems shaky. I have edited my original post to say, "What do you think, and why do you think it?" because without the why, then I have nothing to go on. You think I should forget it. This amounts to very little help.

Why couldn't your friend see another way out of this situation? Why was his ex-wife being DEAD the only solution? All this power in his mind, and all he can come up with is to force her to die? Seems silly. Why not envision a win-win solution for the both of them. Clearly it isn't metaphysics that s the problem. Metaphysics just helps people understand a bit more how the world works. The main question I have is why would he choose killing her? Doesn't sound so good. What's wrong with your friend? Does he have no heart? Beyond having no heart, how come he didn't look for a win-win situation?

I'm new here. Second post actually. I'd like to add my two cents on the subject of wu wei. To me wu wei means being natural. Letting-go and being led from within. It is an intuitive way of living that opens you to the infinite. The normal conscious mind is limited in what it can know, but through wu wei we can open up to the infinite within us as well as outside of us. This isn't just a theoretical concept to me. I have many situations where I allowed myself to be led by some unseen force and had something very beneficial come of it. But to really open up to this you have to let-go of preconceptions. To me a state of wu wei feels like letting your spirit move you. And as your spirit is connected to THE Spirit, it is somewhat like letting-go and letting God. though it can be quite mundane, like knowing intuitively what food to eat for dinner, etc... All the Best
