Is there such a thing as too much "meditation"
Mokona replied to skydog's topic in General Discussion
Don't feed the troll. -
I concur, Dr Glenn Morris describes this a bit in his books. But he writes that it is the Kundalini that allows this sort of immortality. On a side note, those with increased emotion and bodily awareness have a much easier time with this, martial artists and body builders, even. Interesting reason to work out, huh? If the Golden Flower text is too much, PM me and I'll get back to you by Friday with some info that may help. (The-down-to-earth-type).

Sure, no prostitute. Always thought of that story of being more of a... Oh noes! I've been knocked up! Hey honey, an angel came down and impregnated me, its a miracle!

Easy, it can change your flavor on the way, but it won't lead you there by itself. There is a biological and an energetic element that needs to be addressed. There is no purely intellectual path to the Tao. Lets say you - Vmarco sits at his desk, contemplating, and even goes into a cabin in the woods and writes down everything internal and believed to be true until he cut into the soul of what it meant to be Vmarco - This intellectual approach only takes you so far. It's nice that your an activist that is pushing for what he/she believes to be right, but your not winning over any cosmic brownie points. Cheers

Wow, what sort of practice leads to such an interesting energy? Is it a combination of inner stuff that is just amped up by energy, you think?

Winning.

That makes more sense now that you've explained it. It's still a confusing use of terms, though. Let me bug you with this question, and it's not meant to be inflammatory - how does this information benefit your meditative/qigong/martial practice? Is it akin to "mind of matter" when dealing with difficult situations?

Are you guys really short or something? I can wrestle my great pyrenees into submission and there is waay too much fear of this smaller "oh so dangerous breed." A dog you can kick in the face until it's eyes roll up and it passes out. Where is the horse stance guy? Someone needs to instill confidence here. Supposedly V can kill someone in under 5 seconds, but a pitbull would F88k him up.

Why man must give up Food and Sex in order to Evolve

He has been roleplaying since he first joined. But moving on - the only way to really conquer lust is to give up pitbulls! Wait. I'll just go listen to a soundbite or watch a short YouTube video now. -
Is is possible to get to the point were you can cultivate massive good merit doing certain practices?
Mokona replied to AstralProjectee's topic in General Discussion
I see my point of view as being similar, but from a different perspective. As energy work and meditation opens up fuller expression of being human through the biological processes and hormones, we as humans are able to show new behaviors and personality traits. It's not so much virture being developed unless your practicing from a positive world view, as a negetive one will still open the channels and develop chi but bring out a more negetive person. A simple experiment is to meditate a few weeks while feeling fearful, which is a normal state to some extent for some. You'll not develop virtue, but might notice a feeling of "walking on eggshells." In my own opinion, which may completely differ - virtue/good merit are pretty words but have no substance outside of another's perception of you. Meditation of the Taoist type, or even yogi, sufi, or western cultivation doesn't automaticly make anyone more virtuous. Going out and woring for a charity 'might' Try that first. -
Try Kundalini Awakening Program(KAP) created by Dr Glenn Morris, or Jeff Primack's system which is great for feeling QI when first starting out, and helped me so so much. The guys practicing Mark Griff's stuff have good things to say here: http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?/topic/21460-mark-griffin-and-hard-light-center-of-awakening/ You don't need to worry about frauds.

Does he teach how to become as strong energeticly as he is, without his own transmissions? I'd say he just learned to feel the magnetism(chi) and has been powerhousing it, and using neigung from his description. Sounds very cool. I hope you enjoy your path! -
In KAP the goal is too increase certain positive emotions. For someone like me, without a strong baseling to pull from I had to start by watching Youtube videos (External) until I could create laughter and good feelings within(Internal) It just depends on your milage, the internal can be stregthened or weakend byt the external and vice versa. It is your goals that will decided how much of each you need.

What are the beneficial effects of the energy? From your personal experience. I'm just interested becuase i've never been blessed by an in person transmission of any power, but maybe for a single projected 'master'.(I miss her ) -
I really wish someone would answer about what they mean about QIGONG blockages. I just took the course, and received an amazing amount of feeling from the practice, and haven't noticed any negative side effects. What's up with that? I plan on continuing my KAP and this QiGong, until real evidence of something otherwise surfaces.

Sometimes a person lives in a way that creates perfect circumstances for happenings like Qi or Kundalini. Sounds like your "in"

What's it like meditating in extreme places
Mokona replied to thelerner's topic in General Discussion
I did a group meditation with over 1,000 people in the last Chi Revolution that finished up on the 1st, but honestly - I didn't feel much. But I do feel chi much, much easier now and it makes qigong that much more fun! I've tried meditating in a few churches but I just feel repressed damnable holy ground, ha! -
When it comes downto brass tax its energy development. It doesn't even mean just "chi" it can mean development in Initiation to Hermetics too(Etheric bodies) I don't know what makes it stick, but i've before developed enough energy to be felt by people who didn't do any sort of meditation, in a daily normal setting. If you practice enough Qigong and meditation you'll get there the "simple pie" explanation is: Practice!!!!!! P.S. I also enjoyed his books as they've made sense in regards to my experience. My favorite was where he mentioned chances for fun in the void. Before recently finding KAP I didn't have a method for accessing the void, but I was still having fun after being introduced to some of it's inhabitants by a friend of mine that spent much time exploring it. Practice!Practice!Practice!Practice!Practice!Practice!Practice!Practice!Practice!Practice!Practice!Practice!Practice!Practice!Practice!Practice!Practice!Practice!
