The first two pictures are symbols of what happens internally during some Neigung and chi kung practices. Its an internal alchemy thing. The cross is a symbol for the energy connections of heaven and earth meeting at the heart and going out the hands - I forget what the heart symbolizes, but the bright aura around Jesus's head represents energy flow properly flowing up and out of the head.

The New Age - what helps, what works, what harms, what doesn't work
Mokona replied to Birch's topic in General Discussion
New Age often advertises as to fix issues instantly. While actual cultivation in my experience takes time. It took me weeks to get a feel for energy around my body, other than between my palms, even longer to feel into trees. Taking longer still to open my MCO. I'd see a New Age idea as being: Drink this tea, rub on this oil - and stick a crystal on your belly and your MCO will open on its own, all the while conferring powers you've never before belived. Your viewpoint is most wise and informative. I can tell you have direct, in the hand experience with all sorts of ascended masters and spirits. Thank you. -
Along similar lines of the last question, I was curious as to what ancient Egyptian symbols point to which internal states generated by cultivation. Or if any of the hieroglyphics also show process of breathing, chi cultivation and nei and chi kung.

May I discuss actual experiences during Zazen or is this thread for the discussion of the discussion of Zen? I wanted to get feedback if possible.
-
Actually, You could clear up some questions then. I was reading the studies on Flouridealert.org - is the whole website a sham?
-
I've wanted to do the first thing, but sometimes nothing comes up as a feeling. Only tears seemingly unnassociated with feeling, or the feeling tends to fade when I move awareness/attention towards it - so the process can't happen. Also, why don't we talk about the Secret Smile a bit? Santiago Dobles posted it on the Bums back in the day - it's a good tech. I find that I hit a sort of emotionless state/wall when I am having difficulty with a positive emote. -K_ or anyone else with experience with SS... Do you also sometimes experience a wall between the positive emotes and your current state? If so, how do you get past it? I've tried Youtube videos and self massage and shaking. Perchance it's blockage in the mind.
-
Sure, The first chakra is a centered, usually heavy confident feeling, with a vibrant *I want to LIVE* feeling when really active. You can assume this feeling via the shaking mentioned above or thorough leg exercise. Also, when working with this cetner you can self massage the legs and bottoms of the feet to better activate the nerve centers in the area to the feeling of energy, and it promotes flow and breaks of stagnation. Even if you can only feel it alittle, create the feeling, relax and breath into the legs and first chakra. Also, you can't get into this center by thinking about it. You gotta get into a relaxed feel. Either way, just look up the attitudes associated with each chakra center via the Google. Assume the positive aspects the best you can while in a relaxed state and breath into that center.

I've heard a good idea to neutralize dark feelings and return them to free flowing energy is to breath deeply into the feelings when they arise, accept and release them. Haven't tried it myself though. Also, try using the Taoist 6 healing sounds for a few weeks.
-
Brother, suggest a more balanced approach, as there are normally thought to be seven centers in the body, start balanced work on all of them. The best way is to practice assuming the attitudes associated with the centers while breathing deeply into them.(best after a quick body shake or warm up) Start MicroCosmic orbit.

Also, communication from the second chakra, that sortoff touch to the hand or should when you speak to someone. being able to flow when speaking to someone. It can be more earthy or firey, but it is a main water attribute. Per example a friendly earth guy may pat you on the back while he talks to you, but if your going for sexual, light touches to the hands or shoulder, coming in close(with fresh breath and body odor) and assuming a confident and friendly attitude.

Does anyone simply find correlation between different practices? I've seen similar forgiveness practices in esoteric Catholism. Although they normally involve Saints or Jesus Christ somewhere in the middle of the process. Meditation and other modulaties of healing cause these issues to arise, even normal Chi kung becuase it shakes up the internal problems and they surface until dealt with. Take your pick of any healing system, just gotta find the one best for you. Also, to clarify - Not attacking the Hippo practice at all, only certain aspects pertaining to the guy putting out there, as the links show - a shady dude. Probably better to get the practice from the source in Hawaii, or now that Seth is studying it. To bombard him with PMs until he gets sick of it. J/k. Also, why not start a thread in the Healing Circle on this, where experiences of actual healing and as I read above "nuts and bolts" of how it is done can be shared freely? That's what the internet is for, after all. Seth, I read your reply. Do you sometimes find that these smaller peices of the overall "you" hold onto or block positive experience from the conciousness or hold onto gunky energy? I've had one buddy describe it as seeing tiny people inside of other people, and when he works on them they shift to a better state, albiet not always completely. I've experienced a great deal of released positive emotion from allowing him to work on the smaller "me's" back in 2006. -

My mom does this all the time, without the technique. She answers the phone without looking at caller ID and says hi to whomever by name. Freaks them out. Thinking about people sometimes causes them to call her up, i've experienced it too. It's more of a connecting and pinging type thing that many people have a knack for and others need to practice to get to work. -
Charm, in the sense of positive attitude. Outgoing-ness. Get it.

Sure, techniques that bring on self healing of the emotions, mind and even on an energetic level are certainley out there for anyone to grab and try. But when you lie and sell it for profit... Well I don't even know how to complete that sentence. I jsut find it fairly annoying. It's worse if the techniques themselves don't do anything, but just tap into the miraculous PLACEBO effect. Was on the flatbench lifting once, ran out of juice and couldn't push up for the life of me, my spotter put his fingers under the bar and i "THOUGHT" he was pulling up - he wasn't - I powerhoused the bar into his face like I was lifting a feather. Placebo is a strong tool for healing and pushing limits. -
Chidragon trolls. How many times do I need to post it? Somebody search my posts. *Actual question for OP and posters(not chidragon)Do you guys practice in chi kung groups/ in person classes? I wish there was one in Brandon Fl, I was thinking about making a drop by practice classes and posting fliers around town. My chi kung hasn't had that great of effects but it is just more fun with 2 or more people I find.

Suggest using Secret Smile and Taoist 6 healing sounds in place of this technique. Unless you are also planning on healing a psyche ward in your town. Remember, if you just heal yourself everyone you work with, no matter how mentally ill will suddenly be cured. What will that do for the poor staffers who work at these places? Unemployment! Honestly, what a scam. Where are all th patients that suddenly healed, sane? Not a asingle one provded testimony? Hawaii is a damn small island. You'd think this sort of thing would make the news... -
Unfortunately, we do have trolls on this forum. You should put chi dragon on your block list now and save future trouble..

http://www.tampabay.com/features/pets/pit-bull-dog-isnt-an-aggressive-breed-this-owner-teaches/1271217 My sister and fiance stopped by with a Red/Blue PB mix last year. It was a completely friendly dog. I've never personally seen one act in a dangerous manner, but would like to hear from other TBer's. Thanks all.

Where do you get reliable information on this subject?
-
I always thought it was easier to notice them as perceptions open up after enough practice. Mostly becuase you'll find all sorts of things looking at you.
-
I've heard that heat can represent an area energy is running through, the more it heats up the more energy that is being run through and eventually it calms down once the "wires" open up to allow easy and efficient passage. It could also be that you need to stretch your lower spine and legs, or even that you need to reconnect to that area, and the surrounding areas to ensure the energy isn't blocked. What do you think it is?
-
Well, I figured the point of meditation and chi kung was to open up enough perception to decide by yourself. Reading other's experiences and writings is supposed to help make sense of the actual experiences, right?
-
Side note: I've heard of people whom feel more powerful, agressive or charismatic from chi kung, it empowers the personality. It is a side effect of the practices. * Has anyone here practiced to a point where they feel they could give tips on BF's practices? It may turn to be even more constructive of an conversation if the effectiveness of practice was also discussed. Just a thought.
