  1. Has anyone attempted to explore these subjects via direct experience, either through chi kung, meditation or other means? I have. I think it's more fun than guessing. Is the closest anyone here got "This is what some cultures/or I believe?"
  2. Information on spiritual practices are scattered throughout the internet. Just experiment.
  3. What about OBE in place of NDE? I see so many NDE posts. I've never conciously made it out(OBE), an incredible fear overtakes me on the cusp. I read that it is a normal reaction and often is banished once seperated. My preffered method is breathing chi into my body near an open window or cross windows as I get more energy that way. It's really as simple as that, I feel a deepening and then a stretching. Then I feel a lifting.
  4. Eww, McDonalds. I don't have cable. I only download shows I enjoy and watch them on my laptop. I'm suprised more people don't do that.
  5. Jogging

It sounds like your trying to run for relaxation reasons, or to destress? If you run at an easy pace and hold onto thoughts that make you happy you'll do fine. Try for a passive relaxation of your body as you run, too. I've run my belt meridians just by holding onto these ideals while jogging.
  6. You don't know internet forum lingo?
  7. Hi Small Fur, With help of a friend have made contact with these sorts of beings as well. Just that my ability to recieve information hasen't yet been opened - but I find that they are curious now, anyway. Being that I get what is the equivalant of a phone call (face inches from my own in my minds eye and curious feelings) I would like to be able to better open lines of communication. Our energy exchanges have been a very noticable experience with a punch-to-the-gut feeling and lots of energy in the throat and difficulty making vocal communication during these exchanges. I would like to open the facilities needed to communicate. I currently meditate with an emphasise on relaxation in a straight posture and following the breath while observing thoughts and practicing non-attachement to them. I also practice Level one Kundalini Awakening program when time permits, and some of Jeff Primack's chi kung series as well. Thank you for the interesting information.
  8. You'll be fine. Don't over think it or meditate with assumptions in mind.
  9. Orgasm on it's own isn't enough. Even powerful energeticly stimulated ones that flow throughout the body.
  10. I would think so. I felt chi easily by the end of the workshop, as a beginner.
  11. I took his workshop, which was fun! would have preffered somehing wiy fewer people and one on one practice, though.
  12. Not noticing anything on my mobile. love the mobile format btw
  13. ATTACK PAGE

    Attack page?
  14. Does AYP give bad kundalini advice?

Alan Wallace (and many buddhists writings) talks alot about vividness. He teaches how to increase vividness (which combats laxity and dullness). Doing his practices I have gotten to the point, on a few occasions that my thoughts were as bright and clear as if I was looking at normal reality. This is something that won't ever happen at AYP because AYP's deep meditation is training in laxity. It teaches the mind to become dull and thickens the veils. And I believe the various Buddhists who say that this can actually stilt the intelligence.\ Hey! Can I ask you a few questions about this? I have reached a few points in meditation where my thoughts and mind imagery became much louder and clearer. instead of thoughts being quiet or.. Well like thoughts they were loud and clear as if they were being spoke to me by someone right next to me, and the imagery was bright and vivid as you mentioned. Please excuse me, i'm not very adept at articulating myself. XD If I take what you've mentioned above this is a good sign? The last time this happened it shocked me out of meditation because I thought someone was shouting at me!
  15. supernatural abilities...

Most people can't generate enough oomph for the average guy on the street to need to worry about. If you continue learning and practicing a martial art, chi kung, tai chi, or meditation you'll get to a point where you will understand how this works, and how much energy is really needed to put someone down or to simply feel in practice sessions. I suggest you work up your subtle senses with basic meditation practice until you can feel internal and external energy without difficulty from then on you can play more and more. If it hadn't been for my Reiki teacher, and my super awesome spirit guide - i'd not believe it either. but some energetic sensations and subtle communications are not at all subtle but mind blowing and repeatable. Lastly, I see your upset about some guru showing people tricks and changing the world. (I'll assume your male) Brother! Don't worry about that sort of thing. Consider what you can do with enough passion and practice. Keep going and keep playing and one day maybe you'll be in the postions to change someone's life for the better. I wish you luck. You are on a good forum if you want to learn more.
  16. Kunlun level 1 vs. sitting meditation

Doesn't kunlun level one start with holding your hands up while sitting? I'd see that as uncomfortable, meditation while in physical pain or discomfort is largely a waste of time, as chi especially won't travel through stiff and tight muscles(or just to say it is much more difficult ESPECIALLY at the beginning). I'd suggest any comfortable sitting position that keeps your back straight. My Zazen is going great by following those rules, so I can only speak from that viewpoint - i'm not attempting to negate anything anyone else may have said. Good luck.
  17. How do Taoists feel about having pets?

See, and drugs killed that kid in the General topics thread. Damnit fizix, read that post!!!
  18. The Source

See, I don't see how that can be, I've found through practice that thoughts are great as affirmations and helping the body through certain routines or breaking habits, but everything energy related worked better with feeling. Thoughts broke the energy train so to speak. If your searching for the source, you'll want to work more with emotion and feeling I suspect. Good luck.
  19. Natural Chi Movement

You just need to meditate until in a receptive state and pull the energy in, if you don't feel anything you've been hoodwinked. Alot of people do that by the way, hoodwink the population that is. A good way to increase your energy is to practice sitting meditation with a passive relaxation response. The more you can 'let' your body relax the more natural chi movement/internal and external energy you'll feel. No special stance or money order required. I did it on my futon before I read any books. I also found that the more calm and blank you can get your mind to be (See Zazen) the more naturally you'll feel energy while doing the above. natural Chi Movement HAS BEEN EXPLAINED! !!! ! Just kidding, good luck man.
  20. Help the New Guy

Dude R you close to tidewatertaichi in VA? That would be a good place to start classes were good and easy. If not good luck, it's a cool practice when it starts 'having effects' like feeling grounded and super relaxed.
  21. Tai Chi Chuan & Ki Gong

I never had an intellectual understanding. http://www.tidewatertaichi.com/ I learned from these guys over by the beach in a small studio with some badass older ladies. I never even learned the names of the moves, I just remember everything by feel. There came a day after class I left feeling SONG like never before, all the way home... It was so amazing..
  22. It's very important to know about the people you put your trust in, and choose from common sense, besides, can't these experiences be had through energy work and meditation. *I've never made it all the way out, but i've come close to OBE just laying in bed. Just saying, you don't have to travel and drink herbs from Martians in order to experience cool stuff. But...... I want to go to Australia and learn from Seth!
  23. Shadow people

That was heavy, Gerard. Or should I say light? Lol!
