Antioxidant and pesticide content in common foods.
Thunder_Gooch replied to Thunder_Gooch's topic in General Discussion
I spend a large amount of time researching things, its my addiction. Each day I read sites like http://www.sciencedaily.com/ http://www.physorg.com/ reddit.com. The things I find interesting I post here for those who might like them. You don't have to take my information as scripture, I just thought people would like to know which foods have the highest levels of pesticides, so they knew which to buy organic, and which foods had the highest levels of antioxidants so they could prioritize food choices. -

Improper Energy Cultivation horror stories (Share here..)
Thunder_Gooch replied to DaoChild's topic in General Discussion
I did dynamic tensions exercises while in a lucid dream/obe state (not with my physical body), and it caused my physical arms to ache from the insides out for weeks afterwords. It felt like my arms had become balloons, and swollen and stretched out, like someone had squeezed all the blood to the tips of my fingers until they exploded with pooled blood. However it was worth it, but I am not going to share that story here. -

Astral Dynamics (Revised 2nd Edition) By Robert Bruce
Thunder_Gooch replied to Thunder_Gooch's topic in General Discussion
The 2nd edition is much shorter because I believe Robert was trying to make it more concise and succinct. Robert is a great author but he likes to blabber on about a lot of nothing, his core teachings could be distilled down to a few paragraphs. I believe I read about it first from a book called the Einstein Factor, by Dr. Win Wenger. It deals a variation of Einstein's process in which the user speaks aloud to a voice recorder while lucid dreaming or as the author calls it image-streaming. http://winwenger.com/ http://winwenger.com/ebooks/guaran.htm His techniques are reported to enhance mental acuity and increase intelligence in general, I believe this to be true. -
Astral Dynamics (Revised 2nd Edition) By Robert Bruce
Thunder_Gooch replied to Thunder_Gooch's topic in General Discussion
This forum is a dead end, I am not sure why I even post here anymore. It's flooded with spiritual 4chaners, and just plain stupid new age douchebags in general. Bruce's system deals primarily with energetic development, clearing out blockages, nourishing every part of the energetic body, strengthening it, this is the part I thought would be most valuable to TTB, not achieving an OBE, even though that too can be invaluable in a spiritual quest for knowledge. Edgar Cayce and Einstein both made extensive use of this state of consciousness to access higher knowledge. Einstein used a technique where he would drift into a very deep trance and stay mentally focused on a problem, he would enter a lucid dream/ obe state and dream up the answers to his problems. He could engage every sense, in this dream like state, if he went too deep and fell completely asleep he would drop the handful of rocks he was holding to wake himself up and write down his answers. I believe there is valuable knowledge to be gained from the depths of the unconscious mind much more than Einstein, Cayce, Tesla were able to tap into. I've tested Robert's system, I know it works and works well as an energetic development system. I also know that if you can use the OBE state as a tool for acquiring knowledge like Einstein, it can be a powerful resource. Do you know of any good texts for a western reader about developing the yang shen embryo? -
Astral Dynamics (Revised 2nd Edition) By Robert Bruce
Thunder_Gooch replied to Thunder_Gooch's topic in General Discussion
This book mostly deals with a system of energy work developed by bruce, as preparatory work for achieving an OBE. It deals with mental focus, deep trance states, and developing the ability to tactility feel energy move through your body while in a deep trance state. I'm not here for 20 questions anymore too much stuff going on. -
Drama queen city dude, if you let her in your life you are going to regret it.

Trees Produce Electrical Currents That Can Be Measured And Harnessed
Thunder_Gooch posted a topic in General Discussion
I met a man who claimed he extracted chi from trees this way, I wrote him off as just another newage nutjob but now I am not so sure. http://uwnews.org/article.asp?articleID=51869 Dustin Schroeder, University of Washington Electrical engineers Babak Parviz and Brian Otis and undergraduate student Carlton Himes (right to left) demonstrate a circuit that runs entirely off tree power. Sept. 8, 2009 | Science | Technology Electrical circuit runs entirely off power in trees Hannah Hickey [email protected] You've heard about flower power. What about tree power? It turns out that it's there, in small but measurable quantities. There's enough power in trees for University of Washington researchers to run an electronic circuit, according to results to be published in an upcoming issue of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers' Transactions on Nanotechnology. "As far as we know this is the first peer-reviewed paper of someone powering something entirely by sticking electrodes into a tree," said co-author Babak Parviz, a UW associate professor of electrical engineering. A study last year from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology found that plants generate a voltage of up to 200 millivolts when one electrode is placed in a plant and the other in the surrounding soil. Those researchers are working with a company, Voltree, that holds patents for circuits to exploit this new power source. The UW team sought to further academic research in the field of tree power by building circuits to run off that energy. They successfully ran a custom circuit solely off tree power. Co-author Carlton Himes, a UW undergraduate student, spent last summer exploring likely sites. Hooking nails to trees and connecting a voltmeter, he found that bigleaf maples, common on the UW campus, generate a steady voltage of up to a few hundred millivolts. The UW team next built a device that could run on the available power. Co-author Brian Otis, a UW assistant professor of electrical engineering, led the development of a boost converter, a device that takes a low incoming voltage and stores it to produce a greater output. His team's custom boost converter works for input voltages of as little as 20 millivolts (a millivolt is one-thousandth of a volt), an input voltage lower than any existing such device. It produces an output voltage of 1.1 volts, enough to run low-power sensors. The UW circuit is built from parts measuring 130 nanometers and it consumes on average just 10 nanowatts of power during operation (a nanowatt is one billionth of a watt). "Normal electronics are not going to run on the types of voltages and currents that we get out of a tree. But the nanoscale is not just in size, but also in the energy and power consumption," Parviz said. "As new generations of technology come online," he added, "I think it's warranted to look back at what's doable or what's not doable in terms of a power source." Despite using special low-power devices, the boost converter and other electronics would spend most of their time in sleep mode in order to conserve energy, creating a complication. "If everything goes to sleep, the system will never wake up," Otis said. To solve this problem Otis' team built a clock that runs continuously on 1 nanowatt, about a thousandth the power required to run a wristwatch, and when turned on operates at 350 millivolts, about a quarter the voltage in an AA battery. The low-power clock produces an electrical pulse once every few seconds, allowing a periodic wakeup of the system. The tree-power phenomenon is different from the popular potato or lemon experiment, in which two different metals react with the food to create an electric potential difference that causes a current to flow. "We specifically didn't want to confuse this effect with the potato effect, so we used the same metal for both electrodes," Parviz said. Tree power is unlikely to replace solar power for most applications, Parviz admits. But the system could provide a low-cost option for powering tree sensors that might be used to detect environmental conditions or forest fires. The electronic output could also be used to gauge a tree's health. "It's not exactly established where these voltages come from. But there seems to be some signaling in trees, similar to what happens in the human body but with slower speed," Parviz said. "I'm interested in applying our results as a way of investigating what the tree is doing. When you go to the doctor, the first thing that they measure is your pulse. We don't really have something similar for trees." Other co-authors are Eric Carlson and Ryan Ricchiuti of the UW. The research was funded in part by the National Science Foundation. ### For more information, contact Parviz at 206-616-4038 or [email protected] or Otis at 206-616-5998 or [email protected]. -
I still check this forum when I can, I am always afraid some new LEGIT master or system will come out and I will miss it. Mostly people here banter on about pointless garbage, nothing which aides energetic development etc. I still keep lurking waiting for that gem of a thread that never comes

Sometimes, genuinely forgiving someone who has seriously wronged you is the worst punishment you can give them, like a karmic rubber band being cut, and snapping back in their face.

not sure I'll look into it when I have more time, I'm going to be busy for a few months with extra work. :C I hate work. I have dreams about working. LOL. I did emptiness meditation and could increase delta waves at will, did visualization and could increase theta at will, its very cool. -

If you notice the chart on the right it moves around like visualizations on windows media player, its stretched out more towards high and low gamma than anything else, focus and meditation meters were high. before I broke my concentration to take a screenshot it was much higher. I must say I am impressed with this unit, I hope more applications come with time, I would like to be able to record the data in a readout over time, and be able to have it play gamma etc freqs as audio so I can close my eyes while meditating and just listen to the it via audio feedback. -

Here is a .jpg of brainwaves during a metta meditation session I did. The headset is wireless with blue tooth, and has its own internal battery. It does measure up to 50hz in high gamma. So far I love it. I am late for work otherwise I would post more. -
I am very frugal and I love buying for life warranties on things To bad they don't make these in my size, 14W. :C

I believe it works on windows and mac. They allow you to develop applications and resell them, also there is a project called open eeg you may be interested in http://openeeg.sourceforge.net/doc/ Hi Brian! Yes mine is supposed to be here today, after work I will post my review. -

Your correct, an eeg is 100% completely unnecessary. The only thing it does is give you a real time readout of your brainwave patterns. This is useful only for biofeedback purposes. I just thought some people might be interested in a cheap eeg to use as biofeedback in their training. -

It's called biofeedback. You can fix your hair and shave without the use of a mirror, but having one makes the whole process much easier. The eeg is merely a tool, like a mirror into your mind. Certain types of meditation like tummo and qigong meditations that revolve around strong focus generate large amounts of gamma activity, and it takes many years to reach the levels of expert meditators. Using a eeg as a mirror to view your own brainwaves could shorten the time required to master such states. Or so the theory goes. Grasshopper, Looks very cool, looks like they combined a galvanic skin response and ekg monitor for biofeedback. I might consider using this in edition to the eeg. Thanks -

The idea is to use the brainwave monitor software to learn to control your own brainwaves and guide them into a state of deep meditation that resembles that of monks that took many years to achieve the same results. -

What I am getting at is this: What if both the egg and the chicken evolved together simultaneously. Defining when it becomes a chicken or an egg in its evolutionary path is the hard part. But what if it started out as a simple reproduction strategy early on in its evolution, maybe at the early multicellular level. I don't know I am just throwing this idea out there.

What if they both arose at the same time, and grew into their current forms together over time.
