  1. Pit Bulls, do they get a bad rap?

I'd outlaw pitbulls and baseball. lol
  2. Pit Bulls, do they get a bad rap?

I wouldn't even attempt to be the the ruler of a utopia unless I was beyond the level of a level 72 mo pai master. I am not even really interested in controlling other people, I just want to see humanity evolve into something more.
  3. Pit Bulls, do they get a bad rap?

I'll just come out and say it, If I were the king/dictator of a small nation, eugenics would be practiced via selective breeding. Only the top 25% in terms of IQ would be allowed to breed, and they would be required to and be paid to produce enough kids to maintain zero population growth.
  4. Pit Bulls, do they get a bad rap?

I've met nice pit bulls, that will lick you to death if they are raised by kind people. However a girl in my town had her face literally ripped off by mean pit bulls. Literally ripped her face off. I'd much rather own a golden retriever or a lab if I was going to buy a dog.
  5. Pit Bulls, do they get a bad rap?

    Pitbull is a bad rapper.
  6. Selling Out? Really?

    To you as well.
  7. Selling Out? Really?

I am not interested in your advice, to be blunt. I didn't come here asking for advice. I made a call to give up what is really important to me, instead of living in poverty. That is selling out. I am a sell out. If you think it's possible to surpass Pai Lok Nen in development, and be richer than Warren Buffet, and get more tang than Hugh Hefner then more power to you.
  8. Selling Out? Really?

I wouldn't want a Ferrari or a girlfriend, I'd want to drive a used car and be alone, money won't find me a powerful master in China, being developed to a high enough degree to have access to higher faculties will.
  9. Selling Out? Really?

As much respect as I have for John Chang, He was severely held back in his development by his business and family. He could have surpassed his teacher right now if he truly wanted it. That's the truth whether you like it or not. It all boils down to time, the one thing I never have enough of. I'll earn 100k per year but I'll be on call 24x7, and I'll work 80 hour weeks some weeks based on my conversations with others in the field I am going into. I'll have money if I live long enough to see it, but I'll die without accomplishing anything.
  10. Selling Out? Really?

TempleTao, No it won't I'll die with a lot of money, but that's about it. I guess it's better to cry in a Ferrari than a cardboard box though.
  11. Selling Out? Really?

I have a job, I work full time. No love or social life (not a bad thing imho). My off day I meditate some, get 5-10 hours per week of practice. Making no progress on my real dreams in life, and I am still poor. Made the call to pursue a real career, that will take 15 years to get into. I'll can realistically to expect to live for another 25 years after I land a Job. Dreams die either way, unless I go homeless and work a part time job, which isn't something I think I can do. That was the point. I didn't come asking for advice, just journaling my thoughts in my PPDF, it oozed over here too. Just doing damage control.
  12. Selling Out? Really?

Not interested, thanks though. Best wishes with your practice.

  14. Selling Out? Really?

Hey guys, if you will note I didn't come here to ask for your advice. To be honest and frank, I am not interested in anything you have to say or any advice you have to give me, you guys are going in one direction, and I am hoping to go 180 degrees in the other. The whole point of me having a PPD was so that I didn't have to keep running into this time and time again, and to use it as an open journal. Thanks, but no thanks. Best wishes on your practice.
  15. I've got some guy on my friends list, I don't know him, but he's been banned and I'd like to remove him from my profile. It says however I don't have permission to remove him when I attempt to. Any ideas?
  16. Spending money on books

Go read a copy of Taoist Yoga by Charles Luk, it's not too far off.
  17. Selling Out? Really?

My degree will not have even one class in it relevant to my job function. I can't get hired without it. Four years, and in excess of $40,000 USD in debt, for a piece of paper. Then I need an unpaid internship, or low paid internship for a minimum of 5 years.
  18. Spending money on books

I am glad you understood what I said, because I sure as heck didn't If you find truth in books with no training information, then more power to you! You are certainly light years again of me. Best of luck on your journey.
  19. Selling Out? Really?

MH, No biggy. Just in the future if possible don't quote or attribute stuff from my PPD. Just paraphrase it please in your own words. I put stuff there because I don't want to have a public debate on it. My opinions and world views are really controversial, everyone finds them so weird and out of place they need to be fixed or corrected. I've just grown tired of arguing, so I use my PPD as a journal of sorts and lock all the topics so I don't have to waste more energy and sanity on debates I don't have time for.
  20. Selling Out? Really?

That won't work for me, I am not interested in arguing or debating why this is the case. My dream will remain a hobby, and career will have front seat. This is currently the case anyway, so there will be no net change. My other option is taking a part time job, and being homeless living out of a vehicle. However I don't think this is such a smart move.
  21. Selling Out? Really?

Hey MH, Just FYI, if I had wanted this to be up for public discussion I would have posted it here myself. Next time I kindly ask you not quote me directly and paraphrase things using your own words, without attributing things to me. Thanks. Things have come to a crossroads, I can pursue money, or I can pursue dreams. I can't do both and I have to make a call for one path or the other. My intention is to pursue a professional career. I don't live at home with the parents. Currently I am surviving and not thriving financially. This and still have no real time for my form of cultivation. Preparation for this career will eat nearly 100% of my time for the next 15 years, perhaps more. I will be nearing retirement age by the time I can start work in the field. At this point I see no other options, I've been researching different careers now for years. I have logged hundreds of hours in research on bls.gov and other websites. The only career I think I could stomach is the one I am pursuing. It pays extremely well, and builds on my current skillset. However in pursuing a career like this, my real dreams in life die. There is no way to have my cake and eat it too. My other option is living out of my car, and working a part time job, and living like an unbathed hippy. With the economy as unstable as it is I don't think this is a smart move. I am not sure I am comfortable with that lifestyle, and I have no idea how I could afford healthy food and supplements.
  22. WOOOO HOOO. Thanks to whomever removed that guy lol.
  23. Spending money on books

I prefer to mix the lead and the mercury in the dragon cavity, while I stir cinnabar field, then I plunge the vital essence into the original cavity of the spirit, while the great wheel rotates in the jade palace, sometimes I know the golden pill is ready when the false snow begins to fall. I like to force the dragon and tiger to mate repeatedly, before the tiger defecates golden pills
  24. Spending money on books

As a guy who has spent a small fortune on spiritual books, I'll let you in on a little secret. If you like philosophy, you are in luck. If you want training information for practices, you are out of luck. If you are buying lots of books hoping to get real training information and not some philosophy out of them, you might as well buy this: It's a lot cheaper and performs the same function.
