To be honest ken the money is gone, I am not getting it back. I just want to make sure no one sends more money into this scam. I'll wait till the time I gave him then I will file reports with local Brisbane and Australian federal police. I also plan on filing with scamwatch.gov.au and filing an official abuse complaint with paypal's fraud departments and his ISP(s)abuse departments. I'll be more than happy to sink more money than that book is worth into this, I'm one person you don't piss off because I never give up when I set my mind to something.
-
I'd just like to point out I never gave out anyone's name, nor their full address, or full email address. I gave out a city, state, and zipcode and told people not to send money anywhere near it. I also gave out the last bit of an email address @somthing.com.au and told people not to send paypal payments to any addresses like that. I mentioned no ones name. The only information I gave out was related to this thread http://amuletforums.com/archive/beware-person-n-blog-t5498.html where the contact info for lucas huang from brisbane can be seen.

I found the thread via google search moved to the pit I guess http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?/topic/17424-i-got-scammed-here-for-several-hundred-dollars/

well there are a lot of unknowns, the bucket could have dried lye in it, the tinfoil or paper towel could be coated with lye. I would like to see master Zhou tested under more rigorous conditions. As it stands now the potential for scam is too high, not that I have any right to lecture others on getting scammed lol.
-
you could coat the tinfoil with lye and then when the water hit it would heat up, providing clean water would have little bearing on it. Do you have a link to the new documentary?
-
-
Has anyone here heard of a practice called cutting the root of the spirit? or anything like that?
-
I was interested in him till one person reported he uses caustic lye in the water to react with the tinfoil. He found this out by tasting the water when master Zhou wasn't looking and had left the room.

In longmen pai's pine heng gong (sp) you are taught to exchange energy with trees. Also this is interesting, scientists have found trees produce electricity: http://www.treehugger.com/files/2006/03/the_new_power_p_1.php

Cutting the root of the spirit?
Thunder_Gooch replied to Thunder_Gooch's topic in General Discussion
My last Q&A with master Wang I asked what "cutting the root of the spirit" meant, and how to accomplish it. This was my reply: I still am not clear on what cutting the root of the spirit means exactly, or what implications it has, or how to accomplish it. It sounds like it is a method to literally kill the soul itself and cease to exist eternally, or least that is what I get out of it. -
Perhaps it is. I was atheist for most of my life, until I had an experience which proved to me beyond any reasonable doubt, there are things we don't yet understand. When I was atheist, I just wanted to be intellectually stimulated, live a good life and be a good person, and die and remain dead for the rest of eternity. Now I am not so sure that is what happens after death, after my experience I am more inclined to believe in rebirth, and that thought is horrific to me. The thought of an endless succession of lives, after each life ends you lose your memories and identity of the previous life and begin again as a child. That sounds like hell to me, and something I want to prevent at all costs. Losing my memories, identity, personality and my awareness starting again as a child somewhere at sometime again in the universe as something else. I'd rather my awareness just end in a sea of eternal nonexistence then being erased and starting new as someone or something else. If there really is an eternal cycle of rebirth, I want it to end this in lifetime by any means necessary. That's just how I feel, I am ready to get off the merry-go-round.
-
Maybe I am being ignorant but the answer I got last meeting sounded specifically like cutting the root of the spirit was meant to be taken literally, and is a method in and of itself to end rebirth. I don't know as I haven't yet gotten a detailed answer to what it is or how to do it.

I probably am doing it backward, but it's my way of doing things. If master Wang isn't teaching by the time I am ready to seek him out, then I'll seek out his students and learn from them or investigate better leads into other teachers. The only practice I am interested in getting more info on is "cutting the root of the spirit" to stop rebirth, I've asked a few times but not been able to get any more information on it from him. It sounds like it is a form of spiritual suicide resulting in eternal death, but I haven't been able to find out more. Really my only goal for practice is to never be reborn, I'd rather do that by becoming a hsien but I doubt such a thing is possible for me realistically. If cutting the root of the spirit meant I could stop rebirth in this lifetime but remain dead eternally so be it.

therion, I don't believe in transmissions and such, I believe in bootstraps. I've got enough information in neigong to get me by for 5 or more years. When I am done going as far as I can on my own I will seek further help. When I last spoke with master Wang he told me flat out I'm a lardass, and to get in shape. If I meet him in person I will be certain I am in prime physical condition, I can speak Chinese, and I have finished filling my lower dan tein, and I can sit in full lotus in deep meditation for at least 4 hours. I wouldn't waste his time otherwise. I think a certain level of respect is required, and if I were a master I wouldn't charge students money but I wouldn't teach anyone who didn't come to me prepared. I don't like people wasting my time, and I sure as heck don't want to waste a master's. When I seek them out I will make sure I am worthy of becoming their student. Since I've been working 50 hour weeks and not cultivating at all I've lost the abilities I had developed but I know the potential to reawaken them exists. You don't need someone to hold your hand, you just need dedication and correct methods.

Right now I have priorities and spending 4K to go to China to study isn't one of them. I am saving to get an acre of land, and a camper, and get the basics for life squared away. I want to work only part time after that and focus full time on training, when I have gone as far as I can with the teachings I have, then and only then will I consider going to china. It would be very silly to waste master Wang's time, or any master for that matter until I have mastered full lotus, and the other basic meditations and exercises that have been taught. I expect a full 5 or more years of full time training 40+ hours per week to master all the teachings I currently have. I might in the future seek out master Wang when I am in a position to do so.

I was all for verdesi (except his outrageous prices) till I got his dvd, I remember thinking WTF is this shit. That turned me off to him completely. Have you seen the max kunlun guy's video and crap. It's almost as unbelievable as that. http://www.lamathunderbolt.com/largetrailer.htm I think his Sifu Jiang (sp) may be legit from the reports of one person I know who has met him independently of Verdesi. I don't know if he is legit or not however. Verdesi as it stands though is nothing more than a middle man, you pay him shit tons of money to get some basic training you could get from a book off amazon, and when you've fed his wallet enough he might introduce you to some master he knows.
-
Anything verdesi or his cult following has to say can safely be thrown into the garbage can, he is also level 4 and fused his yin and yang and can shoot thunderbolts out his arse.
-
The retreat I went to was like $300 in the usa. I'd hold out for the release of the book if you can.
-
They have the dragon gate us school. http://dao-de.org/ I heard they might be releasing training material in book form for all the people that can't make it to the yearly retreats.
-
There is no such thing as the lei shan dao, this is a term made up by Verdesi himself. Verdesi used to charge (and probably still does) tens of thousands of dollars for very basic teachings. If you want access to his forum it will set you back a few hundred dollars, the price may have increased since I last checked. He was all for wang li ping, until other groups sprung up providing cheaper ways of meeting him and cheaper lessons on his teachings, then he hated him and trash talked him all day and night. I personally bought one of his DVDs, there is a pyrokinesis demo where a bald man lights straw over a drain hole on the sidewalk. I broke it down frame by frame, and he obscures his hand with the straw from the camera, and looks as though he lights it and drops the lighter into the drain. Absolutely t-total show magic. I wouldn't waste one moment pursuing this guy, or that max kunlun guy, both are frauds with cult like followings.

Invest in a good TENS unit, they really work for my back pain, better than drugs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transcutaneous_electrical_nerve_stimulation The herb is great, but I find it makes me push all my chi stores out like a roaring fire radiating heat. Also it unbalances my practice, and seems to attract negative entities (real or perceived)
