  1. The "e" Word.

Enlightenment. What a word? Lately I have been thinking about how this word is so lacking. I mean, I have friends whose skin is black. Whose to say light is any better than dark? What is one without the other? Doesnt the word enlightenment fall short of being a good word? Do to our cultural constructions/the word's abuse? How does "clear light" compare? Is endarkenment as important as enlightenment? I would think so, from a taoist perspective! But then, doesnt this word fail us? Or arsising/falling-tripping out of the duality, is enlightenment making oneness? Perhaps a better word is fusion, non dual, or...wow these things really have no words. How about proper meditation.
  2. The "e" Word.

The part of the brain that we expeince while high on drugs, shuts of verbal/word commmunication, I read. This would explain whey a shaman and a taoist are the same!?!
  3. Bodhi Savas

    Very nice imagery
  4. Shamans Of The Amazon

Check this out, if your interested...! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8714482344821425610 very interesting.
  5. Non Dual

meditation on: life and death future and past male and female heaven and earth three tan tiens fused with the above! I beleive this form of meditation circulates and activates a lot of energy/dmt in the brain...its like tripping!? Of course, one has to be aware of the subtle body, breathing and heart rhythems. (Certaintly helps to know tao internal alchemy formulas.) warning: this may torture the ego
  6. Jung

Scholarly understand of Jung seems to be very important for introducing the Tao in the West. What can the Tao bums share about Jung? Resources? Insights? thank you
  7. http://p087.ezboard.com/fqigonginstitutefr...picID=316.topic I wish I could print this out and distribute it to everyone at the Tibetan/Columbia Med School conference I am about to attend, including the Dalai Lama. The conference is on longevity research. If all the money for this conference were channeled into researching a large population of properly trained wu dang yang sheng practitioners... Buddhist longevity? BUddhists dont care about longevity! They think they are dead (give up their attachment to life...)! Taoists know about longevity...! When was the last time you heard of Buddhist live long? They all die at like 65. Of course, I heard rumors the original Buddha is still living. Who knows? But seriously! I need to do some research for college, and this is an important topic. The government spends billions to research fake drugs which kill people and make them rich. They are open to more integrative methods, however.
  8. Tibetan Buddhist Deity Energetics/visualization---wow!

What is the big deal with Karmapa/meditating on Karmapa? (Other than his great elf shoes and fun buddhist robes.)
  9. Was Jesus A Taoist?

I think/know/feel all religions arose out of taoism (for lack of a better word--how about shamanism?). From Tibetan Buddhism to Jesus Christ...the 10,000 religions are like branches and the roots are Tao. The trunk is education...and THAT is my axis mundi wold tree philosophy. =)
  10. Tibetan Buddhist Deity Energetics/visualization---wow!

Who else loves Tara? My 3rd eye has been pusling ever since we got to know each other... http://www.dharma-media.org is a great resource
  11. Tibetan Buddhist Deity Energetics/visualization---wow!

Very nice trunk! I will have to practice that... Everyone check out this MYSTerious website for awesome vajrayana peoems: http://www.buddhanature.com/ I have been using a Chenrezig or Tara Thankga to go into samadhi before sleep the past few nights. Now, I am sleeping very very well and having interesting spiritual dreams about tibetan buddhism which I tend to forget. I wonder how well a newbie to meditation could take flight using that technique Trunk mentions??? It seems very powerful.
  12. Tibetan Buddhist Deity Energetics/visualization---wow!

Trunk, there is many interpretations of that mantra, what is the one/s you use? I like to use it in a way that activates the yin and yang vessels.
  13. Jesus Camp

I saw the trailer...check it out on You tube. This is some reeeeally funny stuff! I think religious fundamentalism is good! As long as nobody gets hurt. It look like these kids are possesed, they are crying and having seizures...Im not sure if this is good or bad. Most likely it is just funny... telling kids they should die for Jesus? Thats intense...I dont know.
  14. Winn's Sex Dvd

  17. I think the life cycle is all backwards. You should start out dead and get it out of the way. Then, you wake up in an old age home feeling better every day. You get kicked out for being too healthy; go collect your pension, then when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day. You work 40 years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement. You drink alcohol, you party, you're generally promiscuous and you get ready for High School. You go to primary school, you become a kid , you play, you have no responsibilities, you become a baby, and then... You spend your last 9 months floating peacefully in luxury, in spa-like conditions; central heating, room service on tap, larger quarters every day, and then, you finish off as an orgasm.
  18. Essenes- Gospel Of Peace

Thought I would share this with yall-- a very nice gospel! http://reluctant-messenger.com/essene/gospel_of_peace.htm
  19. http://www.whitecloudinstitute.com/cntproducts.html It looks interesting! Perhaps the most comprehensive, up-to-date presentation? If I had time and money to study it right now, I would--but so much aleady on my plate.
  20. For Anyone Looking To Get Into Abdominal Massage

It look like a huge dildo, lol I have definetly used different objects (even a clubbel once?) to do CNT on my belly. hahaha
  21. Solala Towler? Solala Towler!

This guy is perhaps the foremost Taoist practitioner in America? I love his books: A Gathering of Crains and Bringing the Tao to the West. Today I got his latest work: Tales from the Tao. This is a must-have! Such a beauty!!!!!!!!!
  22. Taoist roots of Zen???

I was reading in Solala Towlers most recent, wonderful book. (I THINK? not sure where i read this maybe it was fromm Yang Jwing...no I read too many books at once!): Buddhism came from India and mixed with the Tao to form Chan Chan then mixed with Bushido after going to Japan to form ZEN And there you have it! True?
  23. 32 signs of a Buddha

Nightmares? Well I had done deep meditations of the trinity with wisdom, compassion and buddha power. So seeing more about the shadow side of this, obviously, made some weird nightmares. There is nothing I remember specifically, in the dreams, or want to! I found out about a conference a few days ago, called "LONGEVITY AND OPTIMAL HEALTH Integrating Eastern and Western Perspectives" hoste dby the Tibet House (Thurman...) and Columbia Universities Med School. I decided to attend it, since it would be nice for the resume/help get into good grad program/could make good contacts there. What should I be aware of before I go? Im paying like $700 for this three day program! (Well, more like my parents are.) So I know one thing: they are making bank!!!!!!!! Im real intersted in this Kalachakra, Sexual Vampirism/rituals, and even Nazi connections. But really, I am just interested in longevity and world peace. Is anyone here familiar with this book or Julius Evola's stuff?
  24. 32 signs of a Buddha

I say go for it, although this shit gave me nightmares the other night! Psychic defenses in full force!
  25. 32 signs of a Buddha

This is all some crazy stuff. I wish CLoud Recluse, you lived in America so we could talk on the phone. This is all too much to swallow. If anyone has a grasp on whats going on here, and wants to explain it over the phone, lets do that, I live in Connecticut. Peace
