  1. What are you reading?

Yes Neimad, I would recommend Frost's book for you. You will find it very enlightening, I enjoy the "lung expansion set" and the "gate of life" meditation an the "keep fit" and mostly the self massage in there is very very good. This dude knows his science. His insights into healing-love are gold and very rare, I would say this dude is perhaps the coolest taoist I ever found.
  2. Taoist Meditation

Sweet jesus, that looks pretty awesome and trippy, if only there was more hours in the day!
  3. Relaxation

I find that when I am very relaxed people will tend to enjoy my company more. However, sometimes I will see that my friend or family member is breathing very shallow and it will make me sad! I want to like teach them how to breath deep and blah blah blah, but I dont!
  4. Hi

I seen on tv that your town got fuuucked by katrina! Godbless!
  5. Jesus Christ

I remember eading at the HT UK site about the idea of original sin being abolished through proper healing love...
  6. mirrors

My new bedroom is pretty pimp here in my college town. I got mirrors all round the room so when I do tai chi and stuff I see myself from every perspective ad infium...also got a skeleton with a dreadlock hat and a usa flag coming out his heart saluting, and a stem in his mouth, hes the man! Og course got my lu dong bin and kuan yin postacrds hung up too...mad feng shuiness. Anwyays, I been medititating in front of a mirror as much as possible and I am enjoying the results! Gots to relax the face for good meditaion ninjas! The primordial face! 1
  7. mirrors

Nice, dustwalker, I will have to look into that. On that thread at the HT, (which indeed I started) I finally read Winn's comments and find them very interesting, he has not experimented with mirrors! "Very interesting discussion. I haven't personally explored it. But know that mirrors are used extensively in magical practices; they are one avenue to contact your low astral/energy body. The metal element causes a condensation of chi that mirrors your own physical body, much as metal/gold element is used in alchemy to condense your spiritual essence so it survives transition to other dimensions (immortality). michael" Very interesting. Anyhow, I also enjoyed reading Winn's comments here: "The monkey face staring at you truly loves you. Even if the mirror cracks." My own experience with the mirror has been powerful, it gives me a very heightened body awareness. I can see my own subtle chi flow. I highly enjoy laughing into the mirror, for here, I can see when my face has tension. In the massage book by chia, it says to stair into a mirror, at your own eyes for a long time, then you will be able to stair other people in the eyes. As far as crazy experiences, I haven't had any of those yet, such as myself turning into a reptile. Although the craziest thing that happens is when I stare for a while and everything disappears into gold light except for the eyes.
  8. Power animals?

If you had to pick your favorite power animal/s what would you choose? I have been working on a list of all the animals popular to taoists/shamans...I will post in time...right now my favorite is perhaps the seahorse but I love the (sea)lion and snake and many many other cools ones.
  9. What are you reading?

Amen Danc! Right now I am working on embodying the book "flying without wings" and then helping my friends do the same..
  10. Jesus Christ

I have a book called "sun of god" about the correlations between Jesus, Krishna and Buddha...it seems the 3 motherfuckers were the same motherfucker! (perhaps there is 1 guru you can learn to access through meditation...) But anyways, I dont thin jesus was a real human in the flesh in the way most people beleive, more like he is a spirit that reincarnates in us during moments of bliss/samadhi/heart opening. My favorite theory on good ol' JC can be found through the Gnostics. Look at the lost gospels, they are on the internet. In the lost gospels, (thomas esp.) is a buttload of wisdom, with a asian flavor! It seems these were the true words of christ... I also tend to agree with Winn some too. So anyways, the ultimate theory is that Jesus is the Holy Grail and when you eat his flesh (as A TRUE christian) and drink his blood, you will become 1 and never die. I have done this! Not sure if I was ready for it at the time, but I will try again. I felt like my heart was moving in waves! The mushroom called tha amanita muscaria would fold upwards when there is dew and collect rain water, when someone would come along and drink the water they had a psychedellic experience--the holy grail. When the shamans would pick the amanita, red and white mushies, they would then hang them from trees to dry, this you have "tinsle" and oh yeah, they only grow under pine trees! No wonder Santa could fly with the reindeer's who also like to eat this type of mushroom, and then their noses turn red. Jon Allegro from Harvard wrote a revolutionary book on all of this, and how the Dead Sea scrolls was based on it... do yo self a favor and go to http://www.gnosticmedia.com And watch the documentary movie made by Jan and Andrew...2012 awaits. They call it the "Aquarius initiation"... In Light, GT
  11. Running to support meditations

Looking for good information or experiences about using running as a means to enhance enorphin release, perhaps thus supporting a meditation practice. Running seems like a great way to get ALL the chi moving (blood of course) and I recall the last time I did it, then layed down, I thought about how, damn, you best be runnin if you want to loose your EGO. But I didnt keep it up mostly because I am/was affraid it could be/become unbalanced.
  12. "There is no one system that is full-proof for all circumstances. I.e. the superpowerful dude who is a social misfit is out of balance and the correct ratio evades him, he is not soft enough; likewise, the granola-eating tai chi enthusiast who is kind to animals, lives in a tree and smokes only organic pot is probably a bit too soft and is equally out of balance). 13. funny ass quote from steve cotter at dragondoor

I got a 20 lb kettlbell on ebay for $60. However, I should have splurged on the rea deal due to the fact that this thing has too small a hand grip, crushing my hand if it is to move around, rather than moving my wrist, but I suppose it is workable. I wonder if I should cop the Cotter dvd's, or if I should get the RKC. I got the video for woman, From Russia with tough love, lol! Found it on amazon used for a dub-$20! Gotta thank trunk for directing us all (me, at least) to check this stuff out...glad I did! Because although it is not perfect (like the theory of tai chi is) the soft is within the hard and the hard is within the soft style, that's for sure! Gotta pack up and I'm off to college Sunday, hope to/look forward to finding some cool tribe members or kettlebellers around there. Im so pissed off right now about Katrina, it is unbeleivable nobody could use their 3rd eyes, we have SRI LANKA and other tsunami victim countries, POOR AS FUCK offering to give us money back we donated to them, for our suffering black people with no food or water or toilets or air conditioning, being raped, people have nothing, there is shit everywhere. I know this seems to be the worst natural disaster in American history, but still, we should have homeland security, not homeland, let the minorities starve to death without water, shitting on the ground for a week while we complain nature is fucking us!
  14. Prasara

shit, I have mad desire to see this but at the same time I dont want to drop another 50 beans because I already have so much to practice while I still want to bum it off some1 and learn some NEW universal skills, anyone?
  15. Warrior Wellness vs 5 Tibetans

Yeah I love testicle massage. Particularly lightly tapping them, as it says to do in Bone Marrow Nei Kung, Iron Shit 3. I do before bed and in the morning. Laughing to the organs is something you cant force, or else it wont work, you have to genuinely think of a reason to make internal organs laugh not only in the jing but shen too, to activate the chi. I find that after doing this a lot, and then going to a party, you will have a big smile on your face and perhaps be the life of the party...you will be more apt to laugh in your real life...its great. Even some thing that might normally make you cry, you coud start laughing instead. Laughing has great benefits for sexual energy too. Even for martial arts, you will develop a springyness so that if someone hits you, it bounces right off! Its funny how something so goofy is such a great martial arts practice. (i learned to be crative and some details of this practice through Michael Frost's video, Qi Robotics)
  16. Stereotypes and Generalities

Regarding atrological influences, the microcosmic orbit alone can make you ovecome all that shit. I dont put much faith in tests like that, either, because they are dependant on your current frame of mind. Now regarding the red and white blood cell analogy, I think this is a good idea in that it points out the duality of people, and thats about the extent of it...
  17. Favorite neglected practices?

How is Winn's inner smile different? What is so much better about your meditations? What do you think about exactly? I like to play with the inner smile, front, middle back, back middle front, etc...mix it up. I noticed from not smoking mary jane in the past few days my quality of meditation has really improved...
  18. Warrior Wellness vs 5 Tibetans

okay 40 minutes was an exaggeration. Yeah that is a nice morning routine Neimad. Gotta love the belly laughing. hahahaha. Try liver and spleen and kidney and heart laughing. You can even do root, belly, heart, neck, crown.. 3rd eye laughing! hahahahaha...different frequency sound for each part... "I focus on melting from segment to segment in the 4 yoga poses, and opening from within instead of doing them "physically": big difference. They open the central channel, it feels like now." Awesome IN sights! Will have to remembr that!
  19. Stereotypes and Generalities

I think nobody is any more spiritual than anyone else. How is that for a meditation?
  20. Stereotypes and Generalities

Yeah I think taoism has been grown by other religions. Its all a matter of perspective. If you let it grow it then it grows it, definetly the heart center balances it...something its easy to forget sometimes.
  21. Dear "Ron Jeremy"

I think what made this guy go over the edge: He realized that its almost impossible to do retention without having a harem of woman, like the emporers, and he hadnt attained that level, so he got real angry and his liver accumulated mad sick chi. This dude was attached to some really fucked-up astral entities. May he rest in peace.
  22. Stereotypes and Generalities

Like I told a local qi gong teacher of the healing tao who I told I would like ot get certified: "When we try to get all these certifications we could loose the big picture, trying to learn all these forms" I said, "its not the forms we ae trying to obtain" But so many people just get confined to the forms and the microcosm/macrcosm tha they forget what is in between! Remeber, there are many people starving to death in Africa! Thats what it comes down to? What are you doing in reality (the earth, the world) to better humanity!?!?!?!?!?! Good question, thelerner. I think the point is to keep an eye on the BIG PICTURE and keep returning to that question. Pehraps immortality is perfectly attainable, but only if we come to this WITH our peers. Nanotechnology is going to make a new paradigm, all of our sins and virtues will be exposed, as they are, right now, every moment, psychic channels reveal all. Call me crazy but Im just trying to channel compassion. So yeah, I guess that is crazy in a good way (while trying to minimize crazy-in-a-bad-way by true meditation, posture and movement).
  23. My Soundtrack at the moment

    FUNKY!
  24. Favorite neglected practices?

My other negelcted practice is Sheng Zhen...thats some dope qigonging!
  25. Favorite neglected practices?

Whats your other best moving practice? Yes I love the kidney move, sometimes I do that one and I feel like a huuuuuge wave just woke me up or something. How will you be working with Dirk? At his first year training? Or? You went to the intro course?
