This is a very interesting topic to write about. I have written many pages about this and studied the work of Robert Pollack of Columbia's Earth Inst.'s center for the study of Science and Religion... good people.... It comes down to medicine, consciousness and freedom through the Tao/reality. I have been busy and not checked this website for a while... send me a PM if you want to see any writings I have done on this topic....THIS IS THE FUTURE but it wont be realized through talking, just organizing...

Anyon familiar with it? My parents friend's friend runs a Nyingma retreat center in Caly, affiliated with the first Nyingma lama in the West and publishing companies etc. I am thinking of ordering a book on Tibetan Yoga by him, aka Kum Nye. I wanted to see if anyone here is familiar with this stuff and your opinions? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/184483404...d=11AD5W6YLQ3AF Peace, Jake P.S. How was your 777 day yesterday? Go to a teacher who knows the shizle. open the tan tien. be in the presence of consciously open people. make them concsious and open if they are not! This article was fabulous, thanks whoever posted it: Nurturing the Gate of Life http://www.traditionalhealtharts.com/papers/mingmen.html Good info is also in one of Larry Johnson's books on Huashan Chi kung... anyone know other great articles like that? Perhaps the book Nourshing Destiny...

Saw these interesting correspondances in "Early Taoist Scriptures" by Bokencamp. They also correspond with family members (i.e. oldest brother, youngest sister) directions, etc. This is a little refreshing to meditate on compared to fusion, eh? fire - eyes water- ears thunder- feet marsh - mouth earth - belly mountain - hands wind - thighs heaven - head What do you think?

AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF PRACTICE THERE IS NO SEPERATION. In the low level of these religions there is a huge gap. The religions are differerent, the practices are not. Buddhism is upper two tan tiens and focused on afterlife and intention. Taoism is lower tan tien and focused on "now" and anything practical such as the body. -paraphrase of Grandmaster Yuanming Zhang from our talk last weekend

I am thinking about hosting Grandmaster Yuanming Zhang, a real Taoist kung fu sage healer immortal next week. If anyone is interested in coming to Hartford Connecticut area and training with us, let me know! Also, does anyone have tips for finding a Chinese translator, preferably one who knows about Chi/kung fu a little. the Gransmaster's homepage This teacher holds at least dragon gate, qingcheng, wu dang and emei qigong lineages! He was trained since age 3! Much more...

What does everyone think about this book? I find it has very good insights. For example, one insight is that people get attached or addicted to other people's energy. Also, I am thinking about changing my last name to Clocksmith, cool?

(Dont forget to video tape yourself doing the forms right after you learn for youtube and so you dont forget em! Liberate the Tao!!!!) -

Who Is The Highest-Level Master In The World Today?
GrandTrinity replied to gendao's topic in General Discussion
I am inclind to say Chia, Yuanming Zhang, perhaps Dirk Oillibrandt... but the real ones do not speak at all. As for the open ones - these people have influenced me most. Jerry Alan Johnson is pretty good too, Jampa Mckenzie Stewart, Roger Jahnke is good...Winn... etc. -
Dimensions of Dialogue (ie. global, effective, inner) and Journaling (dream, public, private))
GrandTrinity posted a topic in General Discussion
In my final semester, I am studying and engaging in dialogue with Taoists, peace activists and educators. I am also keeping a journal of these interactions and studying journal learning. All of this is being studied in relation to my undergraduate work (in holism, peace studies and holistic medicine, or progressive education). So my questions for Tao bums are: Do you keep a journal? If so, briefly explain your experience/s? Resources about this topic? Same for dialogue. Do you engage in effective or global, or inner dialogue (well everyone uses inner dialog, I guess the question, then, is: How often is it conscious?) and what are your experiences of this? How do you feel about dialogue in general? Here is a good one: What are some of the greatest dialogues you have experience or participated in? What are your thoughts about these questions? Thank you for helping my project!!! -
