The Healing Tao USA university got a new home! In the Blue Ridge Mountains of N. Carolina. They ended up taking over a center that was once a vedic Maharishi TM center. The place is HUGE and magnificently built with Feng Shui and Vedic feng shui, in some of the highest American mountains. I feel this land has major potential! Winn is looking for additional people to do work-study, which I am finding out more about... The land is SERIOUS! Check out the Healing Dao forum board as Winn likely posted his latest newletter about this in it.

For yall information, the 2007 Omega catalog is out - order a free copy at eomega.com to see who the leading spiritual gurus in America are today? Most definetly! Good times...I am studying the thing... Most interesting, David Deida charges like $2,700 (not including the room and board) for a WEEK course!? He admits 40 students through an application process. Thus, he is making close to 100 G's in one week. Talk about spiritual materialism? Deida is a mint! What do yall thing of this cat anyways? I like his teachings. What a price!? Eh?

IT IS a dope place, I took a Kwan Sai Hung course there and met with Roger Jahnke once. Its only 2 hours from me so I'll def have to come out when you dudes are at Adyashanti! Or maybe not since its no talking aloud at that retreat ( ) But yeah the place is awesome.... I am inclined to do the Thai massage workshops or a Roger Jahnke one, mark Whitwell, Paulie Zink, one of TWO Tibetan vajra YOGA workshops or both, oand.or Sheng Zhen. There is a special evening night for free too... -
What do you think of this article? Pretty interesting...seems to bridge, much, with Indian yoga?: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taoist_yoga

I understand that there are special meridians used by Japanese Shiatsu? Dirk Oellibrandt, in his meridian Chi Kung talks about this. Does anyone know about this alternative system? Resources?

great observation. I do this as well. I only record things related to my cultivation and evolution. I used to write all negative stuff and it just made things worse! Arun Ghandi warned about that dynamic in a lecture I saw with him at SUNY Geneseo, last year. Thanks for the reminder.

I am looking for advice on healing the Atlas Axis connection (two upper most cervicals). I have done some substantial research into this already. I learned one needs: positional release with some cranio sacral. Or, Atlas Profilax method (not very popular yet, see Consious Media Network interview if interested). Or, change the environment... Other ideas?

I know we have discussed this before. I am wondering if anyone knows the low-down on this technique/s? I just met an accupuncurist/tai chi person who uses this to end her practice (balance left right brain and brain/body)/
-
can you desribe the tech this accupuncurist was talking about?

I am finding myself at my college and having to deal with an adviser who oversees many consiousness studies students. For myself, consiousness is more body and heart centered as opposed to mental: The three brains. Now this yogi is real stern and I need some advice in dealing with him. The whole emptied cup aspect of Zen (full cup cannot be filled) is interesting. Please help.

All I have to say is, this dude is th real deal! I studied with him yesterday for 2 hours. I will write up about the experience later... I got two rare books he wrote... Since he was like 6 years old, Zhang has been doing 49 day fasts in caves to practice inner alchemy. But for now, I want to highlight that he recommended I study his Tiger Qigong. This is the same form Zongxian Wu teaches, but Wu was GM Zhang's student in the 80's. Wu learned form Zhang in a group setting, not even personaly. Zhang's form feels a lot more authentic and powerful than WU's. I am angry that Wu duped me with that... I even read his book which has praises from all the top qigong people in the country... now I find this!? I am very glad I went to this lesson for many reasons. One of the major things GM Zhang uses in his Qi Gong is unique healing sounds/mantras for various extraordinary meridians, the Dan tien... etc. One thing I wanted to ask yall bums about: my hands sweated a lot and were cold during the first half of our practice session. It was really strange how much my hands were sweating. He noticed the "cold damp" and the assistant said I should keep practice to get rid of that, and there will still be some sickness stuck in it. Can anyone explain what is this cold damp hands?
