Tao has recently created 2 new groups on facebook - one for KAP1 grads and one for KAP2 grads. It hasn't really got going yet though. Also, Tao has started doing group meditations via skype for his students on Thursdays, though I'm not sure if it is just for grads. The last one was quite a blast! I expect Santi has something simular. Way

Nothing wrong with "horny" - good in fact. That feeling will come and go. There is quite a bit about sexual energy in kap, esp in level two. The best place to ask though would be in the facebook page. Tao, as you probably know, doesn't post on TBs. Way

Yes, a simple but effective version. Way

It only gets better, much better! Way

Hey - I'm doing that one! See you there. Way

LOL - you would get some strange looks doing kap in Starbucks! I see that Tao has a level 1 class on Friday mornings starting mid July though. Way

FWIW, I had IBS, about 10 years ago. I know what it's like. I used to have to travel a lot for my work. All the time you plan where the next toilet is going to be! I went on a general detox and cut out dairy products and wheat. I also discovered a product called ThreeLac that really seemed to crack the problem. I still don't eat wheat and only a little yogurt now and then, but have been free from IBS for years. way

Well, I don't visit there much anymore. You must have been pretty bad to get banned!

Shi Ne = Zhine Basically, gazing at an object, not blinking, mouth wide open, spine erect - an exercise to tame the mind. However, although it does tame the mind, once you are able to practice with little or no tears, I have found it to be a powerful energy practice.

I think this question has been pretty much covered before, but yes, I have done quite a bit of KAP, had have experienced quite a bit.
-
Currently - Morning KAP 45 -60 minutes followed by 25 minutes Shi Ne, and 25 minutes Shi Ne in the evening, 7 days a week, maybe miss one day a month.

I've recently added Zhine to my practice. So far, I've worked up to 25 minute sessions twice a day. I've reached the point where the drooling is no longer a problem and I'm down to about 2 tears per eye per session. I realize that although my eyes remain fixed on the object, my focus is continually re focusing. Now that I've noticed, I find that I can remain on the object without refocusing - but only for a matter of seconds. Is this normal? Are you supposed to get to the point where you eyes remain on the object without any refocusing?

Hi Santi, Thanks for a great reply. I guess I should have asked Tao about in it the first place, but I don't like to hassle him. I'm sure his mailbox is always full of people wanting help etc, yours too I expect! At the mo., I'm useing the Tibetan A, using a star sounds good though. I tried using a mantra at first, but found it better without. It was like trying to do two things at once. It didn't seem like much help. Does there come a time when the drooling stops? Sometime it seems like there is not much saliva, yet other times...well you know the score. Way :-)

Well, no replies from the other forum yet. I guess maybe it's because - I'm a complete newbie, or I posted it in the wrong section, or it's a dumb question, or maybe those that know think it's wrong for somebody who has not done 100,000 prostrations, 100,000 refuge prayers, 100,000 etc, etc, to practice Shi Ne. But anyway, I think I have my own answer. I have managed to extend these "non refocusing periods" to last several breaths. These periods feel super lucid. I feel certain that the aim in "forced shi ne" is to get to the point where you can gaze at an object, without blinking, swallowing, etc., and where your eyes can remain relaxed without tearing up and focused for a given period of time - in my case 25 minutes minimum. I think the movement of the eyes is in some way related to thoughts ie, relaxed focused eyes = relaxed focused mind. But I'd be interested to hear anyone's experiences who has mastered Shi Ne / Zhine. Way Hey - posted at exactly the same time! Way:-)

Yes, thank you. I have registered, and posted the question there. I feel a little out of place there though! I've probably posted it in the wrong place, or made some other faux pas! Way:)

Well, thanks for the link. I didn't think my post would be too off topic, especially compared to some of the other threads here - "End of the world", "aliens", "Advaita Vedanta vs Buddhism", and so on. I would be surprise if no one on the forum has ever practiced Zhine. Still, I'll check out the other forum - thank you.

LOL - sorry if I came across as a bit testy - I must have missed out on my "secret smile" that morning! I think you would find Santiago the perfect teacher.

Dr. Morris's Secret Smile & Breathing basic KAP 1 (Giri for the Tao Bumbs : ) )
Way replied to Vajrasattva's topic in Group Studies
I can tell you that the "Secret Smile", or a version of it, is probably one of the most effective practices that I learned in level 1. Now, I only have to rub my belly and smile to get the "juice" going! A real gem not to be underestimated! Way -
Long Distance KUNDALINI KAP Training through Skype
Way replied to Vajrasattva's topic in General Discussion
The practice has its ups and downs. I would say that that you don't "need" level 2 to continue, but it can be fun if you are happy with the basics. Otherwise you could feel overwhelmed with all the new techniques - and that would be a waste. I did level 2 straight after level 1 and there was a point in the middle where it felt like it was getting to much to digest, but it was ok in the end. I finished level2 a couple of weeks ago and in that time my practice have become much more integrated. I am going to do a re take of kap2 though to brush up while waiting for kap3 in later in the year. Way -
I already had an account - and had the tea etc, but I decided to create a new account using my real name. Just ignore - I'll sit in the corner........
