Everyone falls off the path from time to time, i wont judge the man as i wasnt around or seen any of what happened. Although his books and the way his lectures his students has some very good insightful information. The books are worth reading dont get caught up in his life though! -

Thanks all, im only 10 kilos over weight and i was looking at answers that i didnt have to use running or western way of weightloss exercises. Good strength training with chi kung and meditation can be very benifcial as my art uses a heavy metal sphere for its iron body conditioning. Appreciate everyones answers!

What would recondmend for weightloss when doing Chi Kung, appart from my poor diet which is soon to be fixed. Cardio gives quicker results then doing chi kung IMHO for weightloss but i dont like running probably just walk and med at the same time? WYG

Thanks for the replies, Yoga does have some very advance asanas and i will probably never be able to most of them but there is some asanas that resemble some chi kung i have practised or still practise now. Yoga is also deep in meditation like Raja Yoga which is all seated meditation for what i know. So Yoga is a very deep system of health in some ways similar in its teaching of Prana or chi like in chinese. What im trying to understand from a western point of view is should one do Cardio like running, treadmill etc or would that be depleating the chi that one cultivates? WYG

I would be interested to see if most internal masters would agree with CARDIO workouts, running, swimming into there healthly lifestyle? Is the Cardio type training more a western way of health then easter and would it matter if you didnt do cardio but had good diet, internal training but no cardio as such?

I wonder if its any relation to my teachers art "Primoridal Chaos One Chi Palm" Wun Yuen Yut Hei Jurng system? What does his form or forms of Primordial chi kung look like? Bak Mei Osho has many books all from his lectures i downloaded, from Tao, to many types of information. His series on Path of Tao is one of the most interesting breakdowns ive read on Dao Te Ching. regards WYG P.S Do you practise Bak Mei Pai? -

Funny you mention Osho cause i also had that vision come to my head when i 1st saw Lama Dorje's students getting spontanious movement. Have you read any of Osho's books on Tao? -
After reading the different topic here there is many minds talking about emptyness, void etc. Im alittle confused on what type of meditation practises was taught or what type of meditation was practiced by Lao Tzu. Can someone tell me what the differences are void, emptyness, calmness type meditation and the difference to visualisation type meditations. Do they reach the same goal, do they achieve similar things to occur? By just sitting and being still will this bring any power that these guys of Lei Shan Dao or Lama Dorje have if its real? I probably cant express what im saying right now, but as you can see im confused with the different types of med and there out comes! can anyone help? regards WYG

Mantra, Sorry to go off topic but ive read the Bliss book over and over and i have a question that u maybe able to answer! With the second level using the sword fingers do you forcefully whip it out the side and does it hold tension at the end of the movement when u add intent to the finger tips? AND Do you feel the foot positioning if the main key for the bliss to come and go as its the OFF / ON switch as Lama Dorje says in the book? Will it still work with the feet flat on the ground?? regards WYG

G'Day Lino, Thanks for the breakdown, i understand the first 2 methods, although i dont know if its full possible to breath through the skin and not physcially breathing using the lungs???? Does Lao Tzu mention running the micro orbit or this is not in stillness meditation as you are now using INTENT and forcing or guiding the chi around the body? regards WYG -

Fantastic replies and thankyou both! Just a few more questions, what is the breathing pattern of Emptyness or stillness meditation, Is it low deep abdominal breathing that reaches the Dan Tian? WYG -
Ok, i recieved the book today, i was happy to find that the level one posture is what i have also in my own systems and other stuff he is doing. Kind of confirms my training and i will give his med a go for the hell of it! I have a question for level 2 using the Gim Jee (sword fingers). What is its purpose and its it used for when developed in max's tradition? regards WYG
