If we're going with that myth. Who was this snake who could communicate with Eve to convince her to eat the apple. -

Don't confuse myths with facts. They have a bizarre relationship, but are not the same. -

Even Taoism has a myth of creation involving half human half snake beings. From Wikipedia articles about Nuwa and Fu Xi: -

A technician who has been banned from the Illuminati? or A technician in charge of banning for the Illuminati? I'm assuming the later. Either way, it seems like this got 'pitted' for no other reason than a Mod's opinion on the subject, that opinion being ridicule. On a forum with as many on 'out there' subjects - by the average person's opinion - it seems strange that this subject would still be off limits. Many professionals have ruined their careers at the mention of a race of lizard people, but I thought this site would be more open... guess not. -

I don't see why this couldn't remain in off topic. It wasn't breaking any of the rules of the board. It only was bringing up a subject that has gained much scorn for some reason. -
That was one of the Qi Gong books I was thinking of in my earlier post. I actually have it but have been away from home for some months now so couldn't look for it. Not bad, I've learned the routine and tried for a few months pretty steadily.

I have heard this story a many of times. Many books have their linage leading to this guy. Yang Jwing-Ming talks about him in his Bone Marrow / Tendon Changing Classic and there are a few Qi Gong books out there who say their Qi Gong is from this guy. I have also read some criticisms of his story. Their many concern is that the records from the time when he was born are very poor and also the fact that in China, father and sons sometimes have the same name. So they say that there is no way to prove when he was really born and even if you follow all the official documents that have his name on them through the years (i.e. birth certificates, military enlistment, honors and so on) there is no way to prove it was the same guy and not his son, then grandson, etc.. I'm not saying I don't believe one way or the other, just wanted to put out there what I've heard about him.

Georgia shows off skull thought to rewrite human evolution
hod replied to xor's topic in The Rabbit Hole
Thanks for the link to the discovery in Ecuador. I am an avid researcher in an ancient race of large human like beings who created a vast culture that spread across the world and seemed to predate our known civilizations. The one thing that makes interest in such ideas so hard though is strongly highlighted in these two Australian researchers who are trying to do the a documentary on the giant's pyramid. It seems like everyone doing the major research, that needs to be done for the subject to be taken seriously shoots themselves in the foot by tying their religious or mystical beliefs to this ancient race instead of just doing the scientific method on it without any bias and trying to just put the facts out there. Case in point for these two Aussies. Below is an exert from the summy of one of their books. So, as much as I believe that they did find a pyramid that was possibly constructed by an ancient race of giants - no one else in the serious scientific world will, because they also believe that it proves or is part of the above theory. Just my frustrations revolving around that fact that I do truly believe in this ancient race and it pains me that there isn't one group of people doing real scientific enquirers into it that will every be recognized by the established scientific community. And as a result of all of these people trying to tie this ancient race into their "out-there" theories, anyone who ever preform the scientific method on the subject is going to have deal with people discounting it immediately because of all of this previous pseudo-science.. -
Your bush looks an awful lot like a Night Shade and before I got the whole "beat around the bush," I thought you were implying that SOG was dipping a little bit too much into the Gypsum Weed. Sorry, off subject... continue.

Necronomicon (Simon's): fake, real, or neither?

Son of Thunder seems to be the best person to talk to about this. He has comment a few times that he has read many of the different version of it and done much research on the subject. -
Edit: Even thought there might be a thousand words in Chinese on this. But if you can't read them, it's just a picture.

All War involves killing which can be seen as a crime but I have a feeling that is not what this thread is about. So to answer the question in my opinion (important part to remember), it comes down to the definition you are using for 'War Crimes,' If you are using the definition that has been used when bringing people to trial after a war (such as in Germany after WWII), then... no, they were not War Crimes. War Crimes by that definition are only committed by the losers of the war. Never has the country who won a war tried themselves for what they did during the war to win the war. It is totally a double standard since both sides do horrible things that could fall under the category of 'War Crimes,' but the loser is the only party who is ever tried for them. I'm not defending what was done and the killing of all the people who died in those bombings because it was horrible and no American is proud of it.

I will say something, this from my own thoughts, as I have yet to see this anywhere else.

Seeker of the Tao kind of said it, but to put it a little more straight forward. Light particles / beams (dual nature of light) only create what our eyes perceive as light when they hit / reflect off something. On earth we live in an atmosphere that is full of somethings to hit, like 98% - 100% full. And not just the ground, the air around us and everything in it can collide with light. In outer space or any body in outer space where there is no an atmosphere (such as the moon), it is only 0 - 10% full of stuff. There is a lot less for the light to hit and make what our eyes see as light. Mars has an atmosphere and it looks like earth with a night and day. The pictures of people on the moon show that the surface of the moon is lite up because that is something for the light to hit but the space around it is black because there is very little for the light to collide with. The moon is able to light up the night because light particles are bouncing off of it and hitting the part of the earth the sun can't hit directly. Why when you look directly at the sun, even in space, it is lite up because it itself is creating light particles that are are hitting itself and creating a massive amount of what our eyes see as light. I'm not saying believe everything you are told and I don't want to try to stop this good conversion about much more than just the original question, but I'm sorry to say, the earth is round and light works like you have been told (at least in the material / substance realm a majority of the world lives in). Whether we ever really landed on the moon and the extent of our interstellar knowledge, those can be questioned all day. -
I think... therefore, I can think.

Maybe one of the best youtube videos every. Thank you sharing. One day I'll be asked if I've read any good books lately and whip out a tome under lock and key. Hopefully at Starbucks or a PTA meeting.

The reason I didn't post any of them is because everyone who "researches" them has alternative motives and pushes agendas I don't necessarily agree with. It is the base facts of their research that interest me (i.e. finding giant red haired skeletons and mummies) and not everything else they try to say their finds mean. Case in point, the guy who has done the most research on the subject, Steve Quayle, is using his research to prove the existence of the Bible's Nephilim. I'll post a link to his stuff (http://www.genesis6giants.com/), but I do not agree with his interpretations at all but the base facts of his research are what interests me. You might have to get this book Genesis 6 to really see the extent of his research (it's newspaper articles from around the world of people who dug up giants while tilling fields or breaking ground for new buildings). Another interesting subject is the Mississippi Mound Builders, Many of the American giants have been found in these mounds and very early researchers of them believed them to be made by a race of giants who lived in the Americas before the Native Americans (Traditions of the De-Coo-Dah http://books.google.fr/books?id=cMMSsVLlrxsC&printsec=frontcover&source=gbs_ge_summary_r&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false). It's a very quasi-archeological subject with no real unbiased research going into it yet so you have to take from it what the base facts are and try to ignore the authors biases. Edit: Here's another site that links to a lot of stuff (http://www.sydhav.no/giants/giants.htm). But once again, I don't believe in it all, you really have to sift through a lot of rubbish to find the base facts of it all.

This article makes me think about something that has fascinated me for years. I won't go into it too much hear because it's really not the place and I don't want to go off topic too much, but I thought it was at least worth a mentioning in the case that it got anyone else interested in the subject (although I would not suggest continuing the conversation on this post due to it not being on the specific subject of the thread). And if anyone wants some more info about it, PM me and I can give you some links to the very few sites that take it seriously. All over the world people have found the remains of red haired "giants." They use the term giants because they vary in size from 7 foot up to 12 feet tall. From the United States, to England, to Asia, to South America, red haired giants have been found as either mummies or skeletons. Some have two rows of teeth, some have six fingers and toes, some have been found wearing suits of bronze armor but all of them have red hair. It seems to be a world-wide phenomena that no historian wants to touch in explaining. These Sons of Reflected Light seem to be just one of the many stories that surround this strange per-historic phenomena of some sort of gigantic human race that had a culture that spread to every corner of the planet. Edit: My wife rolls her eyes... the giants again.

Y'all don't want me here you just wanna dance. Hey... ya. Sorry, your title made me think of the Outkast song Hey Ya. Welcome. Humble to me is a state of being. I am no better than anyone else. I feel an overpowering urge to be nice to everyone I meet. I am willing to take the hit to ensure someone else doesn't. Ego is hubris and antonym to humbleness. We are all the same and worthy of all the respect you have to give.

Motivational Proverbs on Solitude, Loneliness and Friends
hod replied to becomethepath's topic in General Discussion
In my life I have found this to be very correct. I would suggest not to fight your nature. Regret can be a scare that will never heal. Don't be the 40 year old trying to party with college kids. Socialize now and find solitude when you truly are ready for it. Following the path is following your nature, not forcing your nature. My two cents from what I've learned from life. -
