The other thing about Max is that he is fearless when it comes to dealings on the other side. He has been seeing what's behind the veil for practically his whole life. He has been exploring the depths of the primordial levels for over 40 years. He will venture to places that I would be quite tentative to go. I am getting more used to the big picture but my experience is relatively limited. One thing I have learned though, is that the big picture is what you make it. Just like picking channels on TV. You decide where your attention goes and you will experience the things of that level of awareness. Pick (accumulate) fear and you will live fear. Choose (surrender to) something higher and you will experience something higher.

Kunlun Practice and Transmission Sessions in NJ
Mantra68 replied to JazZen's topic in General Discussion
Neo, where do you live? Maybe Salt Lake in September. Not sure yet. Max is taking some time to chill, so we'll see what he says when he is done. -
One thing people need to keep in mind when doing Kunlun is that it first opens up what is closest to the surface of your daily experience. Whatever is on the front burner. WYG has been quite tentative, even overly cautious about trying Kunlun. So, what happens when he finally does try the practice? A clearly magnified expression of those fears and a subsequent purging. Feeling bad about what he had said about Max crept in there as well and probably compounded the feelings. We said it was powerful. His experience was actually a really good start to the housecleaning that most of us have been through. I can't tell you how many "demons" I've energetically vomited. It's a lot. Every purging concluded with a rush of bliss and emotion. It can be scary until you've worked through the particular mental illusion that you've created and blissfully arrived at a point of clarity. This can happen again and again until all of your illusions (tensions) are gone. As you keep going, you will drill down through a seemingly infinite set of layers of "stuff." Eventually, you DO get to a point where you have purged most of your crap and are comfortable with yourself and comfortable opening up to the Tao and all of its weirdness. Attributing your experience to outside sources is not always correct. Most of what we experience with our practice, from beings in the room to light forms etc., is a manifestation of our minds. Other times it is just the veil thinning and getting a glimpse into the real world. Either way, you must be brave to face what is there. Understanding your relationship to the divine helps quite a bit in that you know that you are absolutely unconditionally loved and precious to the creator. Your Kunlun can take you to that point where you bask before the divine light of the Tao> Infinite and unknowable but filled with love and compassion. Living in fear is the opposite of this love and perhaps the only true "sin." I have many things in my house at night. All benevolent but if I sense that something is especially heavy, I just tell it to scram. I mean it when I say it and it works. Whether it is something internal or external doesn't matter. That I experience it in the first place is what gets me growling. We are 11th dimensional beings having a 3rd dimensional experience. Of course that is going to attract attention. Usually they are learning from you because you are like a bonfire amongst candles when you do practices that open you. We're like royalty to those in the spirit world even to those of extra-terrestrial origin. We can do things with our bodies that many of them need technology to do. Of course they want to learn from us (crude as we can ignorantly, at times, be). Never fear, you are more powerful than any of it. No Kunlun freak has died yet. It only gets better. Stick with it and kick out the jive, man.

All good man. Lets just all agree to speak from personal experience. Speculation gets us nowhere.

Max is very up front when he says he is "coyote." He teaches you something one way and the next he teaches it the other. The point is for you to understand the ESSENCE of the practice. It is a brilliant method and is very effective. What is your problem with Tantra and Bliss practices? I completely understand WYG's position, but statements like there are "boat loads" of old students who don't even recognize the "new" Max are crap. That isn't true at all. Where are these boat loads? He has changed by switching from a veg diet to an omnivore diet so he finally gained some stoutness, but so what? He is still the same guy. Also he is teaching things he never shared before. That is actually a good thing. I thought you were further along than your recent posts seem to indicate. You don't know him personally, do you?

Yes this is the modern age, but all of Max's teachers are very traditional. They don't work at the Karate gym in the strip mall. They are the real thing. So no, you don't just call them up out of the blue, bother them with questions about their main disciple, and their secret family practices and expect them to tell you anything of use. Just cuz people wunna know everything doesn't mean they get to right away. Sorry, but that is the way it is. The internet spoils us. With time and a certain testing phase you eventually learn everything you need. That is up to the teacher to determine. Chi-packed audio tapes? I don't think so. Feel free to check them out. Maybe I am wrong.

Man, its all good. The fact is that it is very easy to become Max's student. You just need to be respectful, patient and have a sense of protocol. While we are very open there are some things you just don't do. But enough of that. I understand your perspective. If you tell me where you live maybe we can work something out. I am in LA. Jenny is in LA. Max is in Hawaii. There are no seminars currently planned, but practice groups are popping up all over. We don't hold any grudges. Stuff happens and you move on. Everyone is welcome. Hell, we would even let ol' Hundun come to class again. As long as he promises to stand for the whole 5 elements. (Just bustin' yer stones man...)

We are not sure yet. We will post our latest travel plans when we get them. It is looking like probably next spring for Europe.

The rommegrot was num, num num. In fact, it was the best rommegrot I have ever had. Actually it is the only rommegrot I have ever had. But I am sure it was the best I will ever have. I probably won't have it again, but yours was the best. I actually accidently got some wall paper paste in my mouth the other day and it was close to the taste of the rommegrot but yours was a little sweeter. Yum. Cheers. You should go join our new Kunlun Forum here> kunlunforum.com.

Ever since I corrected you on the "standing with the heels up" thing you have been a little pissy. My advice is to find a way to get over it. You were wrong. No big deal. You are also wrong to think I don't have the authority to correct you. I do. It is in my job description. Following your Dharma and calling Max's teachers was not the right thing to do. He is not happy about it. My problem is not with what they said to you (I totally understand that) it is the fact that you call them up and bothered them in the first place. You don't even know them and they sure as hell don't know you. If you want to know what his students know, you are going about it the wrong way.

Max and Jenny do teach the same thing, except that Max has taken it to another level. We know that there are other similar methods and we applaud them and have always said that people should do what works for them. Your isolationist point of view is your own. We are open. What is unique about the Tao. It is about as universal as it gets. If you can open to it, we are happy. We are just here to help. Take it or leave it.

Do you really think that you can just call these people up and have them give you straight answers? Do you know anything of tradition? It is wrong to do that. Max was raised in the Wu Dang system from age 6. He has had many powerful teachers and knows much that Jenny and Sifu Lum do not. They may have given him methods but he has taken those methods beyond. Also, Jenny and Sifu Lum do not reveal everything. Why should they? They don't know you. Out of respect for them, I will let their statements stand. "Red Phoenix is only important to Max and Spontaneous Kunlun Nei Gung has other names." More information would probably help you curious folks but this is crossing some lines I dare not tread. I was wrong to give these names. I will give you no more and I don't care how it makes things look. There is a lot more to all of this that I am not going to discuss here. Those of you who know what I am talking about will definitely understand. The methods work, and they have been made available to you. When you become initiated you can know more. Max may clarify if he chooses for the actual students of Kunlun on our forum.

I personally have not asked Max about the lineage of Kunlun beyond Jenny getting it from her teachers. Having met her and heard the stories about her teachers and the things they could do was, for me, sufficient. I am humbled to know her and I feel honored to be part of what she has shared with me. If I asked her about her teachers, she may tell me more but then again she may not. She certainly doesn't owe me anything as I don't owe any of you anything, but since your decision to even try the practice seems to cautiously hinge on this kind of information, maybe I will try to find out more. The truth is, lineage, to me, never mattered much. I know some about Max's Mao Shan and Wu Dang lineages but they don't really matter to me either. My personal experience with the methods, the effects of the practice, the depths it could take me and how many lives I have seen transformed by it, were and are the most important thing. Just like I don't care if Jesus himself was the alleged creator of a method, if the method stinks then it doesn't matter where it came from. Kunlun happens to work. Red Phoenix, Red Dragon, Black Dragon, Golden Flower, and the other methods Max teaches, work. Also, they ALL predate Taoism and Buddhism. If you really care about lineage you must go back to those who brought these things to this realm, and if that is something you REALLY want to know, you will need a truly open mind. Much to my surprise, the "teachers" from this lineage actually do come to work with you because they recognize the frequency you are generating by doing "their" practice. They see your light shining like a bonfire among dim candles and when you meet the real teachers you may not believe your eyes. Talk about going into the rabbit hole... I hope you have a chance to experience this for yourself. Additionally, you must understand also that Max's experience with Kunlun is very different than Jenny's experience. His siddhas are different from hers, he has a different spirit that he brings to this and he has different insights into the practice (as do each of us that takes it up). He understands applications of the energy and he can demonstrate these applications in ways no one else can. He is the master technician (my words, not his) and to study with him is a truly special opportunity. Jenny has become a Buddhist scholar and is no longer teaching the Taoist ways. So, if Max also decided not to teach, this information would be gone and it would be a great challenge finding someone else who is open and willing to share. Max certainly doesn't claim to hold any sort of patent on Spontaneous Nei Gung. I have read of other schools who do similar practices and have their own rich history. There are different terms for the different practices that may actually all be similar at the root. That is how it is and I think that is great. The more the merrier. It doesn't matter what you practice, as long as the practice you are doing is effective in opening you up. At the highest levels there is a universality to the human experience of spiritual awakening. You do "A" and you will get "B." When the highest masters of different schools meet, they can see that the other has the same understanding. Many times after a quick glance they nod to each other with a recognition that the other has a certain experience of Universal Truth. At the mystical level of any tradition there is an almost uniform understanding of the great mystery, but at the fundamentalist levels people are killing each other over the meaningless details of the methods. Sometimes it is more than prerequisites though that close us. Sometime we are looking for excuses to reject something that we know will work. We throw up blocks to our own evolution in many ways. If it isn't one thing (lineage, correct spelling, etc.) it is another. You are either ready for real evolution or you are not. Standing practice is a good honest measuring stick. If you can stand (I-Jong or 5 elements) for an entire 1 hour session then you have truly accomplished something, because you have overcome everything inside of you that, after a only few minutes, is screaming to bail out. If you walk away in the middle of standing practice, you've failed. Your lower mind wins and really you have cheated yourself from experiencing the full benefits of the practice. Your mind may immediately begin justifying the failure and start making excuses (bad knee, cramps, the teacher sucks, etc) but the fact is you are only trying to cover the fact that you couldn't go all the way. The mind is the general, the body is the soldier, but the heart is the emperor. The heart knows what we need and so it commands, "stand." The mind and body must be made to obey the greater wisdom. If you feel my answers here are sufficient reason to dismiss the practice of Kunlun, then that is unfortunate. There are plenty of testimonials from the dozens of people on this forum who have experienced the real benefits. I only know a little. But you will be cheating yourself of the opportunity to experience a very powerful method that has been brought from secrecy to the world and one that quickly opens you to your highest states. It is available to you now if you want to learn it and that means I have done my job. Do Kunlun or go and do something else.

"Kunlun" is really just another name for the Universal Life Force. The practice tunes you to this divine harmonic and when you surrender to it you experience its nature. This is not chi. It is the higher mind and the energy that connects everything. Nobody invented this practice nor can anyone claim to be a master of it, but I believe everyone should know how to practice something that allows them to access the infinite Tao. If your practice takes you there then that is the most you (or I) can hope for, and I sincerely hope that is the case. It is just that Kunlun, when done correctly, takes you there quicker than anything most people have tried.

Hey folks, The Kunlun forum is finally up. Anyone who has studied with Max and received the lineage transfers from him is welcome to join. Max and I, as well as other assistants, will bop in from time to time to answer questions and add to the discussions. It should be fun and informative. For those who have not worked with Max, please understand that this is a continuation of the teachings already begun by his current students. Perhaps we will see you in the near future. Go to http://www.kunlunforum.com to sign up. Cheers! Chris

Yes, Kunlun is a linage practice. It is a "root" practice which means it pre-dates many things including Taoism. When Max transfers to you, you become connected with the 7402 masters who came before you. These masters (they don't actually use that word themselves) will come to work with you. There are many on this forum who have had experiences with these teachers while practicing. Some look human others, not so much. On the Mao Shan side of things, if you know Mao Shan, and I know you do, you should know of the name Lum. Max was the primary student of Andrew Lum of Hawaii. His brother is Ming Lum. Andrew Lum's teacher was Lum Dai Yeung. He was the Grand Master of Mao Shan. Max is as skilled as his teachers. You are getting the real thing with him. I hope you have the chance to meet him because I know you two would get along great.

Just so it is clear, this is not an opportunity for all haters to dump on the people who still wish to discuss Kunlun here. TaoBums is a free forum and nobody owns it. Chiming into Kunlun topics just to tell people to stop talking about Kunlun only makes you look dumb.

Hey Jazz, Here is how it goes: Wood (liver) is consumed by fire Fire (heart) creates ash (earth) Earth (spleen) creates metal Metal (lungs) is tonified by Water (kidneys). This cycle balances and energizes the organs. The postures can be held from 7 minutes up to two hours (for brave souls) or one can flow through them in a constantly moving manner. Holding the postures until you have a pool of sweat beneath you is most beneficial. Also, it is good to start and end with I-Jong (first posture). Good luck.
-
It is also the posture you take for grass gliding.

Take this posture and lean forward slightly. Open your Kunlun and make sure there is nothing in front of you for a good 50 feet. (Hint: where your fingers point is where you will go.) Enjoy!
-
Yoda, I think you should stay true to your freaky, Jedi nature and ONLY write in that format. That would be great! Cheers, bro.
-
Humor you I try. Humorless you seem to be. Linear mind you possess. Hinder your evolution it will. Wishing you the best I am. Caring what you write I do not. Writing in this dorky style I will stop. Returning to normal I am. Good luck with your thing, man.

You are referring to the "grass gliding" method. That is for traveling very fast. It is what Ninjas used to travel great distances. Opening your Kunlun helps this process, but this is not the standing version of Kunlun.
-
You can do it seated, but lotus isn't necessary and doesn't add anything. Just sit comfortably, indian style is fine. Make sure your hips are higher than your knees.
