Hey Trunk, I encourage you to give it time and let go more. You might be surprised. Take care bro, Chris

Max is here and these are his answers: The Kunlun opens up the 14 meridians, the jing lo, the three dan tiens, ad the secret square inch. It also awakens the nine palace pathways (the hotu). The Microcosmic Orbit is also opened and it allows the chi to flow in both directions. When the MCO flows in reverse it is called the Red Dragon circulation (Mao Shan). We have a whole method for this type of circulation that is not taught and are our more secret practices. The whole purpose of Kunlun is to open ALL of the energy channels and all of the dan tiens regardless of what style you previously practiced. In different Chinese traditions some say the MCO goes through the spine, some say it goes behind the spine and some say it goes in front of the spine. Regardless of the tradition, when combined with Kunlun it will open whichever flow you practice. Everyone is right and everyone wins. If you have the founder of Yang Tai Chi system (original way), he has designed the set in a specific way. Then in present day take three Yang Tai Chi teachers. Even though the knowledge comes from the first master, because of slight variations in the method, each will say that theirs it the original and correct way of doing Yang Tai Chi. So while they all come from the same source, they will disagree. The end result, even with all the minor variations, will be the same.

Max is here now so I am asking him directly about this. These are his answers: From Max's teacher, Mao Shan Grand Master, Andrew Lum, when you do Red Phoenix levels 1-3 to completion, levitation is one of the effects and it only happens once and then dissipates. It is not considered by the Mao Shan as a permanent siddha but just a sign the you have connected with the law that governs Tao. In Kunlun Max's sister Jenny Lamb says that if you master Kunlun level two levitation is one of the effects. Levitation in the Taoist tradition means that you have mastered the wind element. It is when you have connected the middle and upper dan tiens. This where the wind power attainments come from. As a siddha the Mao Shan consider levitation a low attainment. Once one learns the higher things, lesser attainments like levitation disappear.

Hey guys, I hope you will still be around for our big East Coast event in New Jersey. We are planning to be there April 4th-6th. I would hate to just miss you. Anyway, if you must leave before that I wish you the best of luck. Looks neat. Cheers! Chris

Speaking too much of the siddhas that can manifest at the higher levels is probably not such a good idea in light of people's general life experience, but those things can and do happen. We didn't invent the ideas and many others have experienced them outside of the Kunlun tradition. The amazing experiences people are writing about who have tried the practice are just the beginning of what they will find we humans are capable of. Maybe we should just keep mum on the topic and when crazy "impossible" stuff starts happening to people we can just say, "Oh yeah, that's normal. Don't worry about it. It's just a distraction. Let go more." And trying to explain the energetic experience in terms of modern science is really just an equivalency thing. We try to give an idea of what is happening based upon the closest theoretical equivalent science has come up with which is only slightly similar. I personally don't care about the scientific explanation of this experience any more than I care about the scientific explanation of out-of-body experiences or multiple orgasms. It doesn't change the experience, which is incredibly rich and personally profound. You know what happened to you and you don't need an "expert" to come along and explain it for you. The most important thing really is to just let the practice open you out of your mentally-limited, flesh-bag, and see the bigger picture of what is. It is so simple and such a wonderful resetting and harmonizing tool that it is a shame people have been without it for so long. Try it if you want, or if you really don't want to, don't. We try to make it easy.

Help with Negative effects of Meditation?

That is not really the best approach to this kind of thing. That mentality keeps you in place. I know this isn't what you want to hear but a better approach is just to just develop yourself and then see what happens for you. None of what we do is geared toward trying to prove anything to anyone. That isn't the point. People usually are pretty surprised when they do experience these things. This forum is sprinkled with them and our seminars are full of them. Perhaps you could reverse your thinking and challenge yourself to prove how sensitized you can become.

With this type of energy you get into the realm of feeling. Can a feeling be proven? Can you prove you are happy or sad? What if I don't care how much you "swear" to the truth of your feelings? You can't make me believe you are really happy or sad. No machine can prove it. I don't care what the readings are. Those who are dim in the realm of feeling (like I have been historically) will more than likely feel nothing, but when your senses are heightened, you can feel exactly what is going on. These are the subtle energies and they are everywhere like radio waves, but if your radio is off, there is no way in hell you can be convinced that they exist. Turn the radio on and it's like, "Oh, I had no idea." This why I like to work on people at seminars from behind them. They have their eyes closed and the music is on so they have no idea I am there when I begin to transfer energy. That they respond is sufficient validation to me that they are feeling what I am sending.

I agree with Buddy in that we should only believe the things we've experienced. However, sometimes an event so "far-out" happens to us that we are forced to accept that there are things we can't possibly begin to understand. This is a good place to be because then we are in the "beginners mind" and we begin an exciting new stage of the path. The higher you go in Tao, the less you know.
-
This is very true. At the highest levels, the mystics do not argue about philosophy and methods. They understand the essence of each other's system. It is at the fundamental levels where you get so much bickering over details. This is the difference between understanding the "root" and being confused by all of the "branches and flowers." It's like we are all traveling to the center of a sphere. From the perimeter we are all clearly separate, but the closer we get to the center the more alike we see that we are until we just merge with the oneness of the divine.

Call me biased, but I know that the Kunlun practice could quickly bring you to your goals. It is a kind of resetting method that helps to clear the clouds we have created so that our true self shines through. Anyway, you will find lots of good info here. Many different types of practitioners with much experience. Something is bound to work for you. Start with breathing deep and smiling more. Good luck.

As you develop, and once Max knows you pretty well, he may share some of these other practices. You must be dedicated to your art and practice with discipline to show that you are serious first though. Max will only ever claim to know "just a little," but the truth is that he is like a library of spiritual methods. It is incredible. He has shown me hundreds of methods and then variations of those methods, but I stick with just a few. Kunlun and Red Phoenix are two of the best because together they represent a reunion of two root practices. That means he has brought two of the original practices back together to present a complete system. Together they can take you all the way to Dragon Body (Diamond Body/Rainbow Body) if you allow them to do their work. As far as how we met? You read it in the book. Take care, man. Chris

It is not that they are increasingly powerful, but that they do different things.
-
There are three levels to Red Phoenix. Then we have other practices that can be given if one desires. They have fun names like: Red Dragon, Black Dragon, Gold Dragon, Dragon's Breath, etc. All very powerful, high-level methods that develop different abilities, like the stuff you saw on the DVD I gave you. Kunlun level one with Red Phoenix will give most people what they are looking for. Two of Max's top students have reached the level of Gold Dragon Body already. One in one year and the other in three years time. That final step is quite a difficult step to take though. When you are standing on that threshold you are faced with a choice: step through and become what you will or refuse the opportunity and stay at your current level. It can be scary, because you don't know if you will be able to come back. That is usually up to the other side.

Hey Rain, Max has been showing that stuff pretty regularly, so there is a good chance. Actually, he is willing to show almost anything if you simply ask and if there is time. Norway should be fun! See you then. Chris

Tao Bums Forum - Growth and development
Mantra68 replied to MASTERforge's topic in General Discussion
Hey folks, It was never my or Max's intention to turn Tao Bums into a "Kunlun" forum. That it became popular and a subject of interest is due to it's effectiveness and the quick results it produces. I hope that my presence here has helped clear up any confusion regarding the practice or Max's background. I have tried to answer as many questions as possible because I genuinely do care about people getting the real benefit of this practice. Anyway, until recently, it was nice to bop in and see what was happening, now I think it is important for us to just do our own thing. A Kunlun forum is in the works and it will be for serious practitioners only. Max has said that he will even come on at different times to answer questions personally. We will also have a section for Kunlun basics and FAQs so that topics don't become weighed down with rudimentary and often asked questions. The topics will be much broader than just Kunlun and will include the Golden Flower, Red Phoenix, Red Dragon, Spirit Travel, Kunlun medicine, various palm techniques, Kahuna methods, Egyptian schools, Shamanism and more. Max has only shown a small portion of what he knows, so it should be a very rich experience for people. Again, it was never our intention to dominate this forum, we just happened to make some friends here. Follow your bliss and do what you feel is right for you. -

I think we all get you, man. We understand you are trying to stir the pot in here. Shake things up a bit, but you really don't know what you are talking about and you like to make stuff up. Good luck with your attempt to come in here and piss people off. That is very constructive. I ain't biting. Peace on you.

Calling her a sorcerer is like calling Mickey Mouse a super hero. I wouldn't put her on that level. Her understanding was very rudimentary but sufficient to do what she did and it is something many people do on a daily basis. It's a big jump for you to say that I am painting all Taoist wizards as evil.
-
I said nothing close to your twisted concoction. Please include the quote where I discuss sorcerers. It is not there, friend, because I never discussed sorcerers. You are quick to put a creative story together from a simple explanation of energy manipulation, which actually makes you evil. It is better to be good.
