Unless you are talking about in China where there isn't much Buddhist Tantra, even though there is some secret mantra yoga paths there, Vajrayana is very accessible and is widely practiced in Western countries now and involves a vast assortment of body transformation techniques. Vajrayana offers liberation in a single lifetime.

Tweedle dee and tweedle dum. Tag team!! YEAH!! People should not be confused about the term Dharmakaya and what it really means. Drew mentioned it. So I will correct his mis-assumption. It doesn't matter who started this thread. Same goes for ralis, the other side of the same wooden coin.

The experience of Dharmakaya is different from the transcendent extreme of nirvikalpa samadhi. They are not the same experience. Nirvikalpa Samadhi is an experience of transcendent faceless consciousness. Dharmakaya is an experience of integrating emptiness with every aspect of being from conscious to sub-conscious, where the unconscious becomes completely illuminated through insight into dependent origination, not due to a focusing samadhi where one harnesses ones consciousness into self transcendence. It's not the result of meditative samadhi or a focusing technique. The intention is different when the term is used in Buddhist texts. Nirvikalpa Samadhi is equivalent to what the Buddha talked about in the 4 formless samadhi/jhana or meditative states of absorption.

Immortals vs. Bodhisattvas (or arahats)?

Yeah... sorry. I'm no pro. But, I'm glad this helped... a bit. -
Immortals vs. Bodhisattvas (or arahats)?
Vajrahridaya replied to Kali Yuga's topic in General Discussion
When you realize endless impermanence, you have endless consciousness of this that arises dependent upon this insight. So, dependent arising is still the emphasis, always. Jalus in Dzogchen is basically for the sake of keeping your connection to sentient beings active eternally by illuminating your physical components for the sake of compassion towards physicality. You can manifest a physical body from this state while remaining in this state and you can manifest in higher or lower realms, all empty of inherent existence within this permanent realization of the nature of impermanence. The only difference between Jalus and regular Buddhahood is it's easier for you to connect and be seen by sentient beings if they wish to call upon your help. They don't have to have a major amount of clarity, only a bit will do to see a Buddha who has attainment in Jalus. So of course it's a hole in the program. That's emptiness... the hole in the entire program that allows for liberation from all extremes. It's natural. It's not that you have a goal in mind per say outside of realizing the nature of your inner and outer elements. It is an attainment in the mundane sense in the fact that you are doing it for the sake of helping others endlessly, but at the same time, you see the emptiness and non-inherency of it all simultaneously. It's only paradoxical in discussion, but not in intuition. -
Immortals vs. Bodhisattvas (or arahats)?
Vajrahridaya replied to Kali Yuga's topic in General Discussion
The Buddhist emphasis on compassion actually leads to entirely different attributes and powers. As the minds activities are reflective of the way it focuses. But yes, the Jalus is considered immortality. I do think there are stories of Taoists attaining something similar, though the details of how similar I am not so familiar with. -

Eat fruits or things flavored with natural fructose. I cut out refined sugars for a while during my sadhana and after a few weeks found I only needed 4 to 5 hours sleep a night due to eating non-refined products and eating more naturally. I've since gone back to eating pretty much whatever fits my fancy. But, I just burn through it as I have a very active job... like... super, duper active.

I liked it... a worthwhile goal for sure! I especially liked, "Breaking the fetters of reality". As in, breaking one's misunderstanding of it, or breaking through it's seemingness into it's actualness. -
Immortals vs. Bodhisattvas (or arahats)?

Naaaaah! They both exist, just beyond the 5 sense limitations though. Yeah baby!! -
Immortals vs. Bodhisattvas (or arahats)?
Vajrahridaya replied to Kali Yuga's topic in General Discussion
That would be wrongly understood Buddhism. This is not what the Buddha taught. He taught to see through the appearance of things, to escape ignorance, not the world. Why did he say that Samsara is Nirvana then? Nirvana is not escape, except escape from ignorance, but it's really just right understanding of the world and thus true insight into the nature of things. There really is no escape, there is only climbing the latter of awareness of the nature of things. -
What is the source of experience?

No you didn't!! How did you know I come online in my underwear?? Uh oh!! Remote viewing at work here...

There is that open simple state where all the complexities are revealed in a flash of intuition that takes years to fully unravel in conceptual form.

My sentiments exactly! Very nice.

What is the source of experience?
Vajrahridaya replied to Vajrahridaya's topic in General Discussion
Interesting. I do find it good to do the process of analysis internally though until it's really understood on an experiential level in the now and virtue becomes the natural outcome as one really experiences connection with others and compassion fills the heart. -

I'll make it a golden one! Kidding... I was merely talking about self responsibility during the journey, eh? Quite relative my Dharma bro. Nice statements though, I cannot find fault in any of it except the choking you with a spoon bit... HA! -

Lucky to be a women in a certain sense. My wife gets charged through her masturbation. I had to learn how to do that through breath and focus. You women can just do it naturally. -

Wow! That's awesome!! Great writing too! I saw it like a movie. Cool... -
It might be intense, but for me when I first started with sublimating my energy I would not look at women bellow the face and I would not see popular movies anymore. I don't do this anymore. I look at women all over and I look at popular movies. But, this is what I did at first in the mid 90's in order to quiet my inner sexual chatter. It takes practice to do full lotus and if you can't do it, half lotus is fine, as long as your spine is erect and your sacrum and pelvis is opened, you'll feel the energy charge up the spine through breath work and mind focus.
-
I would just think of that as past life manifestations, I.E. dependent origination. Sorry... wifey wants me to throw the movie back on... gotta go.

Yeah baby... I've had ALL these experiences, literally, but with slight personal nuances in proliferation. RIGHT ON!
