What is the source of experience?
Vajrahridaya replied to Vajrahridaya's topic in General Discussion
At the same time there is the doer as you are indeed the owner of your own karmas... in a dependently originated/empty/luminous sense. -
Yes, I had this power naturally without any ego about it when I meditated hours and hours per day, at least a half hour in full lotus and the rest in half lotus and chanted even more hours every day and did selfless service for many hours per day, then puja. Basically devoted my life to spiritual practice and stored up the Jing into Chi energy through sexual sublimation, first month had 2 wet dreams, second month had 1 then none at all, meaning no nocturnal ejaculations for 8 to 10 months after this, well actually never again and a number of years later learned how to have tantric sex through seeing right through my partner into the shashumna and beyond. This was in the early to mid 90's. People would say that when I talked they would see light fill the room and their 3rd eyes would throb and the bliss was amazing, for both me and those that would talk with me. Now, I see that light fill the room when I talk, but these days I have to bring it down, down, down to non spiritual people and merge the light into the darkness... so Drew... I don't think you know much about living in the Valley and all your interpretations of me are quite and fully off the mark my dear brother. You have No idea my intentions and my intentions are deeply pure but deeply in the Earth. You live from the upper 2 chakras as I did for many years and thus many people had a hard time connecting with me. I work on the streets of America riding a Bike Taxi so must ground my light into my tail bone, all that high, high bliss in the head energy right into my Coccyx. This is why I'm much different if you actually meet me in person. I try to merge with peoples physiological emanations and illumine from there so people really feel me on their level. It's very much reflected in how much more money I'm given than I ask for per day. A quarter of my daily intake of energy in the form of money is in tips. Because people out there love me, get my number and call me again so that they can ride with me. Sometimes I have to sheild my heart chakra in order to do this and emanate straight from my 1st, 2nd, or 3rd chakra while reading their thoughts. People out there layer their thoughts and think many social things at the same time. So pointless, from my perspective, but most people don't know better, so... be it, show love, forgive, compassion, show it through a level that they can understand and translate. YAY!! Take care! One of our drivers got hit by a car tonight... after work on a regular 2 wheel bike coming home from the Pedicab garage. Pray for, "Brian". 5 cop cars, fire engine, paramedics... all there at the scene and him laying face up being checked for a heart beat... imagine. EDIT: Drew... you have no real knowledge of whats going on, on peoples personal levels... deep within the sub- and un-conscious... all you take in is the physical emanations it seems and interpret from there.

Drew, Bubble bursting time! If you consider grounding ones energy and protecting through sexual energy up through the spine due to the fact of so many energies being channeled through internet forums of so many different personality types being somewhat stressful to deal with... leaching? Then you've let your full lotus go to your head, which it really sometimes seems it has done just that. I don't mean in that good way either, but in that big headed pride, "What I experience is absolute truth" psychic ego. Because there is more to be interpreted from ones experience of another when one actually sees through anothers eyes and is not just seeing from afar. On the outside looking in, trying to figure it out and thinking that ones experiential projections are the hard facts of the matter, but are not. You have a thick tendency for this as you are very clever so you think your intellectual musings are experiential truths, and you actually manifest this for yourself as your subconscious projections are flowing faster than your conscious mind can adequately interpret so these projections become physiological experiences for you, and many, many times... you alone. Even though you also share tons of great information here with us and I respect you in many ways for many reasons.

I think he has his process. I would still recommend that he practice focusing all this thought weaving through breath meditation in order to get over the constant uprising of subconscious projecting, which elaborates a deep web of interpretation that may or may not be true. Stilling the mind is very good.

What is the source of experience?
Vajrahridaya replied to Vajrahridaya's topic in General Discussion
This is just Dwai protecting his Hindu version of Buddha's teaching. Thus not true at all. Alas. Dwai, you have yet to understand what the Buddhas middle path means, as you still cling to Eternalistic interpretations due to your Vedantic upbringing. So your approach to the Buddhas teachings are layered in pre-conditioning which dis-allows you the ability to see the middle beyond extremes through truly understanding what pratityasamutpada means. -

It's not sad. You have your own space for evolution. Who knows... maybe next lifetime? Seriously... it's nice talking with you though, even if it's arguing. -
Sleep Paralysis & Demons of the Night
Vajrahridaya replied to effilang's topic in General Discussion
Yes, all this is quite true. I found that relaxing into the fear during the paralysis transformed the whole experience into a blissful energetic awareness experience where I'd then get satsangs with great beings and energy would float me around, it felt like I was physically doing it out of the bed, only to find later my physical body hadn't moved. I don't get the scary type of sleep paralysis anymore. -
For me yes, with definite revelation of traditionally known third eye type information reflective of opening.

There are actually more centers in the head than just the physical associated with the Pineal gland. There is also the throb one gets on the brow and all the psychic opening that occurs through breathing there, like seeing spirits and energy bodies and energies in general. It's all I feel much better to let this all happen naturally through just straight breath meditation. We learn vase breathing in Dzogchen. Vase breathing...

What is the source of experience?

Because it carries a connotation that deeply disturbs ones ego into exploration. "What?? I don't inherently exist?? Reality is relative and not absolute?? WHAAAAT??" -

What is the source of experience?
Vajrahridaya replied to Vajrahridaya's topic in General Discussion
Because he couldn't reach you doesn't mean he couldn't reach plenty of us. It's all quite simple and easily understandable to me. So maybe he's talking to me and not you. But you need translation in order to get it? Don't be so prideful in thinking that it's gotta rhyme with your baggage or it just doesn't make any sense. We are all elaborating here for that benefit of making sense to a broader spectrum of readers. -
Hmn, this is an interesting and contemplative take on many things worthy of consideration. Thanks Lino!

Whao! That's a first. I'm going to have to look into this. Be well!

What is the source of experience?
Vajrahridaya replied to Vajrahridaya's topic in General Discussion
That's because you keep projecting western assumptions on the term and find it hard, even after long explanations of the Buddhist meaning of the term. Empty means all things are connected and don't exist by themselves... that is basically it. Except it's an experience of insight that is like empty open space filled with luminosity and infinite potential. This is what emptiness means in Buddhism, not nothing, not negative, not negative space even. -

The Buddha gets to the nitty gritty. He is detail oriented. -

This is different. This is a mind-stream haunting a tree space and taking peace and abode through the space of the tree. This is not the tree itself, though the spirit may take the experience of the tree personally. -

You consider it a dogma to make you feel better about rejecting it. But for those that truly understand it as insight, it is wisdom, not dogma. EDIT: See, I can just as easily call the Taoist and Hindu idea that everything is consciousness a dogma and dismiss it. Which I actually do, but I only dismiss it because it assumes a conscious source to everything and that everything emanates from a single consciousness. For Buddhism, this is a high level delusion that affords great bliss and health, but not liberation from samsara. -
What is the source of experience?
Vajrahridaya replied to Vajrahridaya's topic in General Discussion
That's not at all what he's saying. He's saying that through wisdom insight, all experiences are liberation. That all experiences are in fact Nirvana. The Buddha is saying that now life is truly enjoyable! -

What is the source of experience?
Vajrahridaya replied to Vajrahridaya's topic in General Discussion
He does as well. He's just saying that because your idea of self is merely a coagulated affair in each moment of aggregated conditions that there is no real and true self to be found, just a relative self that ceases to bind one's experience when awareness is expanded beyond itself. -
What is the source of experience?
Vajrahridaya replied to Vajrahridaya's topic in General Discussion
All of this is spoken about in the formless jhanas by the Buddha which of course can be directly experienced. You are talking about the Jhana of infinite consciousness, where one has awareness free of boundaries. It's the oceanic bliss experience seeing all from a very deep birds eye view, including ones own karmic shell. This still arises dependently and is not the source of experience. Though the endless coming together of elements in a particular way giving rise to an individual conscious sentient mind stream since beginningless time would be more close to an observation of a source of experience within the scope of infinite regress. This has to do with seeing the 12 links directly. -

I wouldn't think otherwise. Just be open to the possibility. I didn't have to try... it all unfolded naturally for me. Though, I don't often have the brahma siddhi working in my favor. I have lots of purification to do first.
