  1. Is This The Truth About Kundalini?

What?? Of course they mean something very deeply for one who realizes it's intent. Again... you constantly reference the ignorant instead of the wise to support your anti-Buddhist (anti-religious) view. It's an extreme, a clinging, a reflection of your own state of mind and desire for reference to support this negativity. You will constantly find support for yourself, as this information will always arise for you dependent upon your view. You really have no experience of emptiness and inter-dependence. You haven't experienced "rigpa" yet. So, you have not understood the teachings of ChNNR on an experiential level yet. You should tune into his transmissions more with a new and open mind, filled with longing to transcend your current state of self and world reference. You can only benefit. He is one of the few Masters that is giving global transmission for free, especially on this level. My wife got on through the internet 2 years ago, and when he "snapped" his fingers at "p$#t" during the transmission (I'm not supposed to say the word publicly) her brain popped, audibly and spiritually... she has not been the same since. It was followed by a stream of deeply synchronic experiences that lasted for 3 weeks that completely transformed her state of self reference forever. Actually, she says that they are still happening, though not as intense. She hasn't capitalized with regular practice of a "tun" or anything as such so that's understandable, still, she is noticeably different and more awake to herself. P.S. Because I know you a little bit, you probably reference Muktananda to yourself in your anti-monastic view and anti-religious view. But Muktananda had already realized the intent of Sanyas before he ventured into Tantric sex practices of Kaula Shaivism, which he was introduced to only later in his life. It's the same in Vajrayana, within reference to HYT or Anuttarayogatantra. It's said that a high level bodhisattva who got there through monasticism can let go of the vow of celibacy and engage in karmamudra. This is in no way condoning those few referenced by such links like the one you posted above. I am coming from an entirely different view point here when I say the above. Also... It's said in Tantric texts that a Master of later years can through inserting his lingum into a youthful yoni and through utilizing the knowledge and wisdom of the practice of, bindu (elemental essence), and the union of awareness, bliss and emptiness, elongate his or her life for the sake of teaching others.
  2. The purpose...

That's good! I'm taking this one home with me... as in to heart! Thanks Vortex! P.S. made my eyes water... just thought you should know.
  3. Is This The Truth About Kundalini?

Sure it does! Just not in your vision and the experiences and information that are reflective of your vision. Karma is a continuum from within, so without. Your constant referencing of the negative to support your negative view says more about you ralis. One can also reference the positive and those that are truly and actually monks, channeling their sexual energy towards higher goals in a process of self transformation. It is possible, I know this based upon direct and personal experience, unlike you ralis. Once again, you trump yourself, by revealing your flawed understanding of the nature of things, again and again. Your glass will always be half empty if you continue in this view. You find what you seek for, as you find what you think yourself to be. Corrupt and dirty.
  4. The purpose...

What do the Theists say? "God is in the details?" Well a Buddhist would say the same thing about Nirvana.
  5. The purpose...

Yeah, the Buddha said that a 7 year old could understand his teaching. I didn't word anything I said for any 7 year olds though, as I would think everyone here was educated enough to read and understand the gist of what I wrote. Put a 5 year old in front of me and I can manifest the appropriate metaphors using references to toys and school kids, utilizing soft energy and speech, as well as engaging fun and possible laughter. But, we are not in a playground, we are on a discussion board filled with adults who know how to read and type. So stop making excuses to not go deeper out of pride. All that I said is very simple. ..... Realize the nature of things, including yourself as self liberated, and express from there, in every moment, in conjunction with every moment as a reflection of every moment perfectly and clearly recognized.
  6. Is This The Truth About Kundalini?

What is real life ralis? Lifetimes of social and genetic conditioning spanning a length of time unremembered?
  7. Is This The Truth About Kundalini?

Actually, no, it is not. That is your view, based upon a very deficient level of understanding and experience, revolving around your "glass is half empty" view of everything religious. When in that state of recognizing the reasons for renunciation, on a deeply personal level, porn has no quality of attraction, and a brothel of naked horny women is found to be a place of barren and unsatisfying results. That is, if you have the "right view" involved with your renunciation. But, if you are merely repressing "stuff" out of fear, then no, you will be self denying and this denial will enact itself in destructive ways. Yet, we are not talking about those Catholic monks that are always referenced by you type of people in reference to monastic living, which percentage wise, are very, very few compared to those that are honestly being a Monk, or Nun for the sake of a higher goal in life than the conventional. We are not talking about false renunciation based upon fear. GIH and I are talking about the real feeling of disgust towards the obvious results of such things you just mentioned. Not in a life denying kind of way, but just in a state of true longing for deeper meaning beyond the obvious pulls of nature that are based upon the fear of death. This deeply ingrained fear manifesting through our physical gene pool as the desire for procreation. Which is a reflection of the secret and largely unnoticed desire for union with the mysterious "other", which is essentially found within anyway. Even if the energy of lust arises in the body for one such monastic, it is immediately channeled towards a higher purpose through understanding of the empty result of sexual activity. Please take a look at yourself and your prejudices. You're only harming yourself with your constantly negative view of all things you deem "religious." You and Ulises should get together, compare notes, and burn them in the fire of realized renunciation! P.S. Sexual activity can of course be a path to liberation, but only from the right view of renunciation of chemical attachment, clinging and craving.
  8. The purpose...

I will answer from the point of view of my interpretation of Mahayana Buddhism. 1. The purpose of life for a Buddhist is to realize the already liberated nature of everything. 2. The result being blissful awareness. 3. Then to liberate oneself from that. 4. As being liberated from clinging to self experience through recognition of the constancy of interconnected and formed flow leads to selfless service instead of absorption into a formless and transcendent state of being. 5. This results in self objectivity and constantly enlightened engagement with the world around you. 6. Then to hone and master the methods that lead to a constant state of recognizing change and impermanence for you for the sake of others. 7. Thus always expressing the same truth in different ways according to the needs of the now. 8. This is done for the sake of helping endless sentient beings to the same... "awake" (Buddha-ness). From Wikipedia: 8 fold path... 1. Right view 2. Right intention 3. Right speech 4. Right action 5. Right livelihood - Ethical conduct 6. Right effort 7. Right mindfulness 8. Right concentration - meditation based upon right view leads to... 9. Superior right knowledge 10. Superior right liberation Thus of course, right expression reflective of liberation (which might or might not be conformed to conventional reality)
  9. Oh ok. Karma literally means, "action", and of course in conceptual elaboration it also means reaction. How is everything not cause and effect? You might have a misunderstanding of the meaning of the term karma? No, we cannot judge his karma, as his karma is it's own judgment, as karma includes intention and all it's complexity. I'm just saying, to use the positive reactions of others (their own karmic merit) to his lies as an excuse for seeing universal balance everywhere, could lead to misguided thoughts about the non-dual state that you are pointing to here. All things are meant to be and perfect as they are should not be an intellectual, emotional or spiritual excuse for inappropriate activity (karma). That's all I'm saying.
  10. Is This The Truth About Kundalini?

Hear, hear! Well said GIH! I only did complete renunciation for a few years, and it was extremely powerful! I cannot say that I exhausted it's merit, because I definitely did not... But, it was amazingly powerful to take all that energy that I had used for external gains and turn it completely within for only internal gains. I speak in dualistic terms as there is no ultimate inner vs. outer, but you know what I mean. Well said.
  11. Is This The Truth About Kundalini?

Only ultimately. They are both empty, dependently originated, and the play of the energy of sentient beings... ultimately. Well, the last one is both ultimately and relatively (Dzogchen has only one truth in it's conceptual elaboration) but not practically, because practically they are different.
  12. Yes, well said, but... he was only a product of karma, his own, interlaced with what influenced him to be who he was or is... wherever he may be? It was merely peoples potential for awakening that allowed them to feel that way about his books, and his expression played into that, but there is still the question of his personal karma? I personally don't know. But... the question of being inspired has everything to do with the people who read his books and not him personally. You say that he was doing what he was supposed to be doing? So, then... there is a cosmic will behind everyone and no one has any way to escape that? So, serial killers are doing what they are supposed to be doing because, hey! Someone who's parent was killed by a serial killer, started questioning his life very deeply and became a seeker of the truth! That's somewhat of an excuse I think. For him personally, there is no justification for him to have carried on a lie for so long, it's selfish! On the other hand, it's up to us to let everything in life inspire us, but that doesn't take away a persons personal responsibility to not be a fraud. I don't believe that there is an ultimate entity that is designing everything saying, "You are suffering, because this is how it's supposed to be, it is your destiny because I father of the Universe... WILL IT!" Sorry, I don't buy it. Which is why I'm Buddhist.
  13. Is This The Truth About Kundalini?

This was for ralis eyes only.
  14. Is This The Truth About Kundalini?

Your understanding, when you read at least. You haven't read many Dzogchen texts, so you really have no idea. It's not culturally specific, it's specific to complete obliteration of any sort of clinging, including to an ultimate state, or ground of being. Dzogchen is Buddhist. Rinpoche has said, "I am Buddhist and I teach Buddhism." Ultimately, both are equally dependently originated and empty of inherent existence. Practically speaking, one is for cigarette butts and ashes and the other a reminder of one of the greatest human beings to have ever walked the Earth and his teachings. So, practically speaking, one form is closer to the nature of things than the other, ultimately speaking, both are empty of any inherent ability to bind or liberate. Dzogchen speaking... they are both just the play of the energy of sentient beings. Right back at cha bud.
  15. Possessing Me: a memoir of healing

Jane! I want to buy one!! I have a similar history! I'm also from San Francisco! I used to skateboard at the Embarcadero and sell Marijuana on Haight St. in the 90's. I'm very interested in reading your book!! I want to write one myself actually... teh he. I'm so happy for you!!
  16. When you really come in contact with the teachings and methods of a complete path to enlightenment, I think you'll change your mind. But, I do agree that his words and teachings are inspiring and are derived from the "general" path to enlightenment. I don't feel that he offers a complete system, just some nice platitudes in story form and some interesting practices pulled from ancient American Shamanism. Yeah... I used to do that with the doobie that is, but I started to get way too out there and not very grounded, so I quit. Symbols are powerful and I do think that Castanadas was a brilliant mind, but not enlightened, which is entirely my own opinion. Though it's a fact that he made all those stories up.
  17. Jetsun, I do agree! I got a lot out of the books of his I did read. I was into him for a short period of time, like a couple of months in the late 80's.
  18. Hogwarts school I do believe is a legitimate school of Wizardry, in fantasy land!
  19. Yes, yes..., so they converted to the Dharma!
  20. Really Island? I'm flattered, thanks! =^D

  21. Is This The Truth About Kundalini?

I say the same about you. This "meat suit" (it's a horrendous expresion) is a prodigy, an exquisite, delicate organism, a Sleeping Beauty that awakes her hyper-complex subtlety with the kiss of a loving awareness. Only the poisonous view of a monastic life-denying psichopatic perception can say such things.. Both have their validity. What you say is true as well, in fact more true and more of a liberated perception. It's also poetic and actually I know plenty of monks who think this way about their body on the one hand, as well as recognize that most people wear the body as a manifestation of their ignorance. I was saying that my experiences transcend the view of this body being merely a meat suit. Your view of a monk or monastic as being life denying and psychopathic is really, wow! Negative and life denying to me. Your view on the Buddhas teachings must be really skewed, yet you are inspired by Dzogchen and Zen? I don't think it possible for you to have much understanding of what Dzogchen and Zen actually teach. Your perspectives are too black and white as revealed by the littering interpretations of both my words and things that Buddhas have said within various contexts, which you entirely miss the points of.
  22. Internal Vision and Remote Viewing

Something I can agree with, mastering Delta also helps.
  23. Taoist's view on Reincarnation

That's why it's good to read from past or current masters. Lineage is important in the sense of authentic teachings that bare authenticated results. Even great masters don't stop studying other masters. The process of learning never ends! In the relative sense that is. Buddhahood is said to be the state beyond learning, but that's just referencing emptiness, the state of reference of liberation from learning, learner and learned. But practically speaking, everything is going to keep flowing regardless of ones enlightenment or not, and learning and unlearning is part of this constant process.
  24. Is This The Truth About Kundalini?

No, it really doesn't, that is your take. What is your body made of? Flesh, blood, bone, future worm food. It's made of funky smells, and has a waste disposal system. That is one side of the body, on the other, it channels sentient consciousness, which can utilize this meat suit as a deep and profound vehicle of wisdom, thus making it the Nirmanakaya expression of Buddhahood. That's why I said, "my experiences transcend this meat suit," as in, the base level of self and physical awareness. You are reading your own "shit" into the things I say and thinking it's "the truth."
