  1. Call for help!

Time and resources are always an unavoidable issues with these things. If your corporate job forces you to work 10-12 hrs a day, 60-70 hrs a week, you will have far less time not only to teach, but also for your own practice. More personal practice = generally better transmissions and skill.
  2. AlienMind

The thought of 'this could just be more channeled hogwash' ran through my mind at first as well. I also felt skeptical when I saw the author's photo, he struck me as someone who is a bit too 'in their head' and chi drained. With alternative subjects like this however, I've noticed that what seems most 'plausible' tends to vary depending on what a person has been most exposed to. People in the 'angels, astral planes, chi and ascended masters' camp are more skeptical of UFO material while the 'UFO and government conspiracy' camp is more skeptical of nature spirits and qigong. Compared to some of the material I have seen coming from David Icke and others, the material in AlienMind sounds much more plausible to me. Disclosure Project has interested me as well for some time. In his book 'Hidden Truth, Forbidden Knowledge' Greer also mentions how expanded awareness and remote sensing can allow for contact without aliens having to 'physically' travel to you. Such methods are different from channeling wherein your own consciousness is vacated. It is indeed true that much of what the author mentions can't be easily physically verified, however, he states that expanded awareness (which is actually the greatest benefit of contact with aliens, rather than technology) is another means through which one can investigate the material he presents, if they are willing to learn. Here's another quote from a post the Alien Mind author made on another forum: http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread613839/pg1
  3. Apocalypse Culture

The Solar Flare increase did make me wonder, but there have already been several reports of such, along with warnings of electronic communications being knocked out, and such hasn't happened yet. I haven't seen Greg Braden's research yet. I will look it up soon.
  4. Taoist Relationships

Forced circumcision of infants is indeed nasty. If the Wilhelm Reich's material is true, such practices cause emotional scarring.
  5. Taoist Relationships

Improving sexual life and relationships by Taoist alchemy is certainly possible, but expecting that it will allow a sexual relationship with another specific person to last on a lifelong basis sounds to me like a mixing of Taoism with the Western search for a lifelong romance. Again, it's not that I don't think such things are impossible, just that by itself it's not something I would want to have as a goal. I did at one point and feel now that the aftermath of mistaking strong passion for a deeper connection is much worse than the payoff of finding it. In terms of breakups being normal, consider that even in psychologically healthy tribes like the Trobriand Islanders, young people would go through several relationships before "settling down", and even then divorce sometimes happened after. I feel now that allowing for the strong possibility you will go through several relationships in one lifetime and adopting an approach of equanimity towards such is better in the long run.
  6. Taoist Relationships

I think it's certainly possible that matchups with profound compatibility are possible. If someone attracts such to themselves, all the better. However, I don't think its good to actively worry about and search for such things. In terms of divorce, it used to be the case that it was much harder to have sex outside of marriage due to religion and lack of contraceptives. In addition, it was also much harder to get divorced. At the moment there is indeed too much divorce and friction between people, but the fact that relationships tend to fizzle out after a couple years, or a couple decades, is pretty much just the normal way of things IMO. Even if a sexual relationship ends it doesn't mean you can't still be friends with someone. It's the same case with many married couples who stay together, the interest in sex may not be there but they stay together because they're good friends.
  7. Apocalypse Culture

I've read about it in various sources over the years. Most of it is channeled/New Age material. I found the ZetaTalk website quite informative, but assuming for the moment that the Zetas are real, they seem to be a very manipulative and dishonest bunch. It interested me for awhile, but now it doesn't impress me much. Some astral spirits mention it as well, but the question to ask in that case is whether their awareness is focusing on a specific area of the collective consciousness of humanity that WANTS such an occurrence to happen.
  8. Apocalypse Culture

Baring the possibility of some coastal flooding due to Global Warming, I think most of the "Earth Changes" stuff is nonsense. However, it's quite apparent that the world is entering a several decades period of upheaval as the old economic and political order shifts. Perhaps in the new world there will be a better knowledge of the holistic interconnected nature of things.
  9. Taoist Relationships

The way I see it, there are millions of people all over the world that you're compatible with, so there's definitely no "true love". Spend a couple weeks getting to know someone first to see if there's enough in common before hoping under the sheets. After having sex a couple times people will naturally bond, your brain will release tons of Oxytocin.
  10. Global Revolution!

What we really need is more of a horizontal order, rather than a purely top-down bureaucratic order. A Direct Democracy run by a charismatic leader with no appropriate checks and balances can become a nightmare.
  11. free will is worthless

In one sense free will could be seen as an illusion, just as the perception of being a wholly separate entity is an illusion. On the other hand, respecting this "illusion" in some form is pretty much the core of all morality. Only an individual has the right to give up their own free will illusion.
  12. Tai ji and MMA

It's one thing to claim that internal martial arts and fajing CAN allow you to reasonably defend yourself, even against someone with better muscular development. For those reasons it's a great practice for someone who is focused on other activities in life or wants to stay healthy and strong in old age while professional western fighters encounter more and more health problems as time wears on. It's something else entirely to state that internal martial artists can totally destroy top MMA fighters, and then not back it up. Those kinds of claims do make internal martial arts appear suspect imo.
  13. Bliss VS Awareness

IMO this is like comparing wheels to engines in terms of what is more important to making a car run.
  14. I've found that tracing one's awareness up along the physical path of the MCO is useful initially purely for the purpose of becoming conscious of it, along with the chakras it connects to along that path (not the physical locations so much but the psychological dimensions of watery sensuality, expanded love, etc). Oftentimes now when focusing on my Dan Tien there are strong sensations of energy flowing up the MCO without me having to place any intentional focus on it. The Chi knows what to do, just let go and it will flow through the MCO much more strongly than if you try to direct it.
  15. I do indeed notice a major double standard in terms of people immediately leaping to the woman's defense whenever she has a conflict with a male. A friend of mine was being threatened and attacked by an ex who was bigger and stronger than him, and she was threatening to destroy his property. But yep, once he hits her in self defense several long time friends turn on him. It made me sick to my stomach. The fact some of those "friends" were self-proclaimed progressives/humanists made them look like complete hypocrites. It's a good example of how subconscious beliefs like the "women are fragile angels and are morally superior to men" meme within Anglo cultures can override one's stated beliefs.
  16. Do I smell a third world war?

Social Security can be maintained for the most part, particularily if spending on foreign wars is reduced. The same is not true however of Medicare and Medicaid. Although I do feel everyone should have some form of health coverage, the system needs to change, and WILL change whether people like it or not, as healthcare (sick care really) in it's current form is not sustainable. It will be far harder to keep future generations from falling into poverty if there is no change in the current status quo of spending hundreds of thousands of dollars worth on heart surgery, dialysis and other allopathic treatments that only result in a 70 year old living one extra year confined to a bed, suffering. I'm hoping such problems will spur further interest in treatments involving qi and other holistic methods. Please consider the following: Spending on Medicare and Medicaid is Absolutely Out of Control
  17. Taoist Relationships

Men tend to instinctually desire women with a certain hip to waist ratio and firm smooth skin, just as women tend to instinctually desire men who exude a certain level of social skill and presence. This is simply a fact of nature. It doesn't mean that spirit and energy don't make a great difference however to those who are aware of it. Think of looks as the wheels of a car while energy/spirit is the engine. You need both. A certain level of physical attraction needs to be in place for other factors to multiply that initial interest.
  18. Stop Shooting Your Load!

With some of the methods people experiment with I think what they really desire is to experience something, anything beyond 3D sense reality. Even if said practices don't accomplish much in the long run, and perhaps even cause damage, the initial sense of novelty and wonder can hook a person, causing them to stick with a faulty practice long term.
  19. Ejaculation frequency

As an aside, trying to do inner sexual alchemy with a partner who is oblivious doesn't work very well. Be honest and explain it to them. At the very least the energy will flow better.
  20. Sky Dancers

Reversing which gender is "on top" isn't going to fix anything, it just creates a different form of oppression. In an environment like that, the oppressed group is better off distancing itself from the aggressor.
  21. Problems attracting women can indeed be part of much deeper issues I think. Even once you start having success in dating the problems are not necessarily gone. One perspective you can adopt is that you simply have much deeper challenges to work through in your current lifetime. Thus, any side issues like problems with women don't mean you're some inferior beta, it just means you have more on your plate. Great difficulties can actually lead to deeper awareness over time. The men you might see having success now with "hot" girls at the club may end up broke and disillusioned down the road, while you are only getting happier.
  22. Sky Dancers

I do agree with this. The feminine spirit and its capacities for deeper sensitivity is indeed what has been oppressed. That particular spirit can be exemplified by either gender. It's a situation that is far more complex and nuanced than the "everyone with a penis is potentially an evil rapist bastard" divide and conquer view you find in mainstream media. When growing up I personally felt picked on for not being a sports/competition loving red-blooded American male.
  23. Chakra and Micro cosmic orbit

Stimulating vs. activating Kundalini, along with stimulating vs. activating Chakras would be an interesting avenue of further discussion. I have noticed that when focusing energy on a Chakra for awhile I do become more conscious of that Chakra and it's functions, but it isn't a permanent opening. It does give you a jump start though for become more conscious of the dimensionality of a Chakra in day-to-day life, thus giving one a better sense of how to develop further. Another speculation of mine is that there might be some relationship between the Shakti at the base of the spine and Original Qi, and thus stimulating it via energy practices can provide an extra "charge" that can lead to other things (kundalini and chakra opening, etc).
  24. Even if one is able to see through the falsehood of self-esteem based on social validation and going along with the group, it's still part of your inner programming. If you try to fight it you will just make it worse. It's better to satisfy such needs to some degree when young, that way it will gradually fade as you develop. I find that neikung and meditation helps quicken and smooth out such processes.
