I remember reading about this years ago and having a good ROFL, but I heard rumors that the rings did actually have a healing effect in some people....

My girlfriend, and all the other women I've dated, like it when I take a more dominant role. I don't tell them what to do in their day to day lives, but when it comes to the bedroom, it's a different story.

The "Get a Job, Have a Wife, Make a Child , Get a Life" Thread
Enishi replied to 宁's topic in General Discussion
I've read several men's rights types who have tried to change the system. According to them, by and large, their efforts turned to naught, even after countless decades. Not only do most people (liberal feminists and conservatives alike) attack the emotional warrant of their arguments rather than the factual content by accusing these men of hatred or misogyny, but even many who do agree don't bother to support them because it does nothing for them on a personal level. Speaking in terms of my own perspective, so far as I can tell, much of the heartache women experience is due to them choosing partners who turned out to be bad guys. And in terms of myself, some of the worst emotional pain I've experienced was due to women I liked choosing men who are louder, ruder or more "edgy" than myself. Therefore, the only thing I can do for myself, rather than attempt to change the entire system, is to study PUA and attempt to develop "game", confidence (the traits many bad boys have) without actually becoming a "bad boy" on an internal level. *shrug* -
The "Get a Job, Have a Wife, Make a Child , Get a Life" Thread
Enishi replied to 宁's topic in General Discussion
I agree, many of them are very passive aggressive and angry. They also let past bad experiences define their reality. However, just like women who have been married to abusive men, or had bad boyfriends and are now negative and bitter, there are legitimate reasons for their grievances. -

Thanks for posting those links Smile. I've read a number of MGTOW websites over the years. Sometimes they do get really extreme, but they make some SERIOUSLY good points. Marriage is extremely wacky in the anglosphere. A wife can divorce a man just because she feels bored, get the kids and half of his life earnings, even make false and unprovable claims that he abused the children out of pure spite, and the courts will go along with her. And women are supposed to be the oppressed ones???!!!! What a bunch of cultural marxist brainwashed bullshit! Seriously, only get married if it's with a really good women that both you (and her family) now is trustworthy. Or just don't get married at all. -
Better understanding of D.O. definitely leads to greater compassion. Even with people that I might not like on a surface level due to their having lower IQs or poor behavior, I think of D.O. and realize that they to, even in their current state, are an important aspect of the whole without which I couldn't exist.

I often feel similar levels of despair. Still stuck at a dead end job as a hospital orderly, struggling to finish school, introverted and lack of experience with "dating game", etc. My goal right now is to finish school as quickly as possible within the next year and move somewhere like Brazil to teach English or work in Technical Writing. I just hope I can pull it all off before the dollar collapses.... I also NEVER want to be stuck in an 80 hr work week corporate hell hole existence. I'd rather take my chances living as a survivalist in the woods. My main goals in life are to cultivate, have fun with people I like, and maybe express the experience and knowledge I gain via writing. Kinda hard to do that if you're at the office 24/7...if I have to deal with material hardship and never get married it will be a small price to pay.
-
I figured it wouldn't be the end. There are many shifts taking place in the world right now however. If the dollar collapses sometime between now and 2012, that by itself will lead to a VERY big shift. I'm also wondering whether there will be some sort of unusual astrological phenomena which can be observed in 2012 as well.

I took the XSZ course with Jette in Oregon last year. The form was quite complicated, in order to do it in a precise manner it really does require close, in-depth instruction. I do feel that the course was worth the price. Doing the form helped me to release some of the blocked, repressed emotions I was holding within and better understand myself. Ironically enough, I stopped wanting to be John Chang after this. Looking back at it now, I'm sort of baffled as to why I was so attached to a path which appears to be the destiny of only a very few. John Chang and Wang Liping's masters SOUGHT THEM OUT. As for Verdesi, I'm not really sure what to think of him at this point. Maybe he has attained the 4th neigong stage. I have no idea. Either way, I can't see any reason at the moment to go back to his system and pay thousands of dollars. What do I need to be able to burn newspapers for when I have KAP to focus on?

Astral Dynamics (Revised 2nd Edition) By Robert Bruce

I did follow the first edition for awhile to try to have a projection before losing interest and switching to other stuff. I might get the second edition sometime though. -
What Buddhism and Taoism have in Common?
Enishi replied to TheSongsofDistantEarth's topic in General Discussion
The way I look at it, the Tao would be the "process" of how the whole universe moves, constantly shifting to maintain its balance, not a being or substance as per monism. Speaking in a holographic, fractal sense, this eternal process exists not only on an outer level, but an inner level. The 'Tao' is within you, and by increasing your awareness and living in tune with it, you yourself become more and more an outward manifestation of that eternal process. -
What Buddhism and Taoism have in Common?
Enishi replied to TheSongsofDistantEarth's topic in General Discussion
I think it was speaking in a very generalized manner. For a guy, no ability to have children (plus less of a desire to want kids) equals more time for practice. -
Thanks, I already put in an order for the first book.

Reading these threads got me thinking about the concept of the holographic universe. Essentially, we contain the "image and information of the whole" folded within us. However, the whole itself is not a static thing which shines from it's own side either. It's created by all the 3d objects, and also their more subtle aspects. So both the parts and the whole emanate each other (rather than the whole emanating everything on its own as per Brahman monist interpretations). Dependant origination. However, as per the point Vsaluki brought up, how exactly can one fully explain dependant origination or holographic interconnectedness? How can it be that everything is empty and has no true substance? The impression I am getting here (and more experienced daoists can correct me if I'm wrong) is that daoism aims at neither an absoprtion within the highest jhana, nor even a realization of dependant origination, but rather, a full awareness and acknowledgement of the "Mystery" (Tao) of the cosmos, going beyond all conceptualization. It's also not superior or inferior to other realizations either (that's conceptual thinking) just different.

I Just Wanted To Say...I LOVE THIS FORUM VERY MUCH!:)
Enishi replied to DalTheJigsaw123's topic in General Discussion
I have to concur. Come to think of it, I've been on this forum for almost 3 years now! I was lurking most of the time though. I used to hang out on occultforums and Robert Bruce's forums, but grew tired of those over time. -
It doesn't really discuss ancient technology, but Michael Cremo's Forbidden Archaeology book ties in with this subject. http://www.forbiddenarcheology.com/

Large masses of people tend to end up creating some form of opiate, no matter the form. I believe that many secularist/materialist beliefs are really just another form of religion.

question about nonduality and sex
Enishi replied to Old Man Contradiction's topic in General Discussion
Learning how to not be too attached in regards to love and relationships is a pretty good thing IMO, if not an outright requirement. Oftentimes when I get too attached to girls, especially at the outset, they're turned off and end up running after bad boy douches instead.... -
I had a form of spirit/astral sex once with one of my "guides". I have no idea though whether this was a good thing, whether the guide was good, whether they were a real entity and not a thought-form projection, etc. I no longer pursue this type of experience for the misgivings mentioned above.

Theory behind pushing a chopstick through 2" of wood?
Enishi replied to froggie's topic in General Discussion
Given the number of people who appear to be able to project qi, I'm not so sure about them needing to have yin/yang gong. Maybe its just a certain condensed form of more physical qi projection which requires yin/yang gong? -
Societies and businesses can indeed have a kind of thought-form group egregore which develops in the astral. It's not the same as a self-conscious soul/mindstream though, its more like an AI computer program.
-
I have to admit, I'm still baffled by the idea that I could have existed forever, yet didn't enlightenment at some point during all of those infinite chances. Perhaps I'm thinking in too linear of a fashion here. Do many mindstreams exist as pure potentiality, and are only reborn as humans/animals/gods etc at a certain point?
-
One thing which confuses me is how there can be an infinite number of mind streams stretching back into the eternal past. If the past is eternal, why haven't we all attained enlightenment by this point? Since they're empty, can mindstreams combine or divide in some manner?

I'm not really big on hierarchies myself, but perhaps that is due to growing up in the more individualistic west? Some people (like myself) wont do so well following a hierarchy, even if it results in them not reaching a certain level in this lifetime. But then again, maybe reaching that level isn't what they need in regards to their karma at a certain point in time. Others will do better with a more experienced teacher, rather than following a "whateva, whateva, I do what I want!" philosophy. Saying there should be no hierarchy at ALL is rather childish IMO. It sounds like a bunch of cultural marxist brainwashing. I'm not saying anyone here is going to this extreme, but I've seen it before among airy fairy types.
