Chinese Taoist Medicine & Stillness-Movement Medical Qigong
Enishi replied to Ya Mu's topic in Group Studies
Though it was erratic for awhile, my own schedule is starting to look more and more like yours. Once it was in reverse, I would do some qigong in the morning or afternoon and then the sitting practice late at night. Now I'm trying to do the sitting practice early in the morning, with qigong later in the day. Getting up really early in the morning is hard since I don't arrive home from work till midnight or later, but my sessions tend to go much better at that time. I'm also starting to notice that I don't need quite as much sleep as I used to, the occasional days where I only get 4-6 hr of sleep depending on schedule requirements no longer tax me to the same degree. -
Chinese Taoist Medicine & Stillness-Movement Medical Qigong
Enishi replied to Ya Mu's topic in Group Studies
Initially I didn't want to post this on here, but back in January I utilized the medical techniques to assist a friend of mine. Afterwards he stated that a curse that had been placed on him was lifted. His old abilities started to come back, his mind cleared and his vitality increased. The curse in question did not feel to me like ordinary sick qi, it was more akin to a chain that was wrapped around his energy centers and literally resisted early attempts at removal, growing weaker as the session continued. -
Although not technically movies, I also want to mention the first three Silent Hill videogames. If you can get ahold of them, adapt to the now archaic controls, and analyze the plots, the enlightened aspects become apparent over time.

How many Taoists are out there in the TTB....?
Enishi replied to ChiDragon's topic in Daoist Discussion
I dislike the the idea of questioning whether someone "is" a Taoist, it makes it sound like an adoption of beliefs and mental labeling in the same vein as saying that one "is" a Christian/Atheist/ect. Taoism isn't a label, Taoism is something you DO. -
Misrepresentation of teachings in pop media -
Enishi replied to Owledge's topic in General Discussion
Whether consciously or unconsciously, pop media and hollywood tend to distort spiritual teachings into what some would call a Luciferian agenda of glorifying the ego, employing simplified emotionally appealing BS like "create your own reality, everyone can be a millionaire with positive thinking!". -

Not accurate, whether one is enlightened or not, you're better off being with someone whose spiritual and psychological progression is at roughly the same level as your own. If not, one partner may end up draining the other.

I'm glad you posted this, I watched this same video recently. It's great to see new arguments for fixing the system that go past the old tired liberal vs. conservative debate. Fiscal conservatives do have a good point that increased deficit spending under the current order is unsustainable. However, rather than institute austerity measures so the bankers can keep collecting interest payments on the debt, public banking can change the orders of things at its core. Once those changes are in place, conservative moderation can then be applied to ACTUAL physical resources (material and labor), rather the current financial smokescreens that benefit the 1% at the expense of the 99%.

This I do agree with in part. In regards to this, where did Joeblast ever say he agrees with government-funded corporate welfare? His views, so far as I've seen, are fiscally conservative/libertarian, not the religion in government agenda.

Here's yet more evidence that pitbulls are inherently monstrous and those who choose to own them lack compassion: 'Grieving' dog refused to leave dead dog's side

The only "absolute" code I can think of would be respecting free will (both human AND nonhuman), and thus by extension the freedom to draw closer to the Tao. In terms of laws and moral choices in the physical world however, it's ALWAYS relative and contextual.

'Alien Abduction' Research Suggests Episodes Are Actually Lucid Dreams!
Enishi replied to DalTheJigsaw123's topic in General Discussion
With aliens, astral projection is a real possibility. The thing is, based on the answers I got from them, their technology (scalar/psychotronic) can often be used as an aid to such. I mention this because I sometimes notice in mystical circles that the attitude of "oh aliens are just another type of fairy" is adopted (and by contrast the UFO buffs assume that fairies and angels are just grays or whatever trying to trick you). Not the case, though I think at this time that many ets are neither entirely physical nor etheric... -
Good post. Feminine yin beauty is a definite source of inspiration. Once that inspiration hits though, the best way to apply it is not by chasing easy sex, but by using it as a source of inner transformation and creative energy, as occured with the mens' drawings.

'Alien Abduction' Research Suggests Episodes Are Actually Lucid Dreams!
Enishi replied to DalTheJigsaw123's topic in General Discussion
Leaving aside the question of abductions for the moment, over the past year I've experimented off and on with a remote sensing method mentioned by the author George Lobuono in his book 'Alien Mind' (available for free download). My immpression at the moment is that aliens are indeed real, and if you approach them in a respectful and unobtrusive manner with your awareness, they WILL respond telepathically. When I sent out a question of whether they're biological or non-physical, they stated that they are indeed physical, although in some cases they're so advanced that they straddle the boundary between the two states. Many are more spiritually advanced than us, but in some cases the social effort to attain such came at the expense of individual drive and thus individual critical thinking, and thus they can't 'progress' as fast on an individual level in one lifetime as a human might. Feel free to accept or dismiss what I just said, but that has been my own experience thus far... -
I now want to record some vicious dog barking and set it as my ringtone.

Why I am Diligent in curbing my Lust and Sexual Desires
Enishi replied to tulku's topic in General Discussion
This sounds like peasant/populace control propanganda based on a very skewed interpretation of the afterlife. Souls tend only to experience those things upon crossing over if they EXPECT them (or if they have extreme guilt). -
The Inflation of Life - Cost of Raising a Child Has Soared! (I want children!) But...
Enishi replied to DalTheJigsaw123's topic in The Rabbit Hole
Reading stuff like this makes me quite grateful not to have kids, especially when I've had to reach into my savings to help close friends left destitute by our worsening economy. -
After the original owner abandoned the animal and then got thrown in prison, several friends of mine adopted a female pit bull. She's one of the nicest dogs I've ever interacted with, always coming up to me and licking my face when I visit. She even puts up with a younger dog who tries to play fight with her, responding calmly and never with anger. But, since she's one of those profane evil breeds, I guess I need to inform the owners that they aren't compassionate and are bared from the enlightenment club.

Why man must give up Food and Sex in order to Evolve
Enishi replied to tulku's topic in General Discussion
Bless and empower the food beforehand, and make sure it's not a type that is hard for your specific constitution to digest. Do that, and the energizing affects will offset any downsides eating it might have. -
Not sure if it counts as an "advanced" technique or not, but I've found working with the Water element as described on Mistele's site ( http://williammistele.com/ ) to be quite powerful. My experience with Water is much as he describes, intensely cool and contractive, but also loving and blissful. Entering into Akashic awareness is another one. Recently I found, partly by accident, that it's getting easy for me to connect to some of the spirits listed in Franz Bardon's book on Magical Evokation. One day I was simply looking over the sigils of the Moon intelligences without trying to consciously connect with them and got an incredibly powerful rush of energy. O.o When I want to connect intentionally, I can do so using the aforementioned Akashic awareness. My theory is that having practiced Stillness-Movement and KAP for the past three years has enhanced my direct perception with such things, whereas before it was all forced mental techniques.

http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.com/full-list-of-stuff-white-people-like/ This describes Millenial hipsters quite well. I would know, as it applies to many of those in my peer groups, the people I went to college with, and even myself in some areas (I'm a Millenial too, after all). Man, I should really stop being so prejudiced against myself today.

Speaking as a Millenial myself, I have to agree, group think places a very large part when it comes to the above. I'm all for acceptance of LGBT couples, but on the other hand, I think support for gay marriage is often more emotion driven than it is based on whether people would actually gain pragmatic benefit from such arragements. If anything it would make the lives of many worse once they end up in divorce court just like heterosexuals have been doing for the past five decades. Then again, since I was born in 1981, right near the edge of Generation X, perhaps some of their cyncism has rubbed off on me. I agree too that those born post-1988 are quite different from those between 1980-1987.

I've only watched the first video thus far, but in terms of my personal experiences with my Baby Boomer parents, Baby Boomers I've met at church, superiors at work and other walks of life, it's fairly accurate.

Finger pointing and passive-aggressive tactics of telling people this and that spiritual lesson they need to learn (generally coming from those who mostly do a lot of reading and little real cultivation) are a common spectacle I've noticed on forums of this ilk. Really, unless you have 100% impeccable mind reading skills its a waste of time making assumptions about whatever internal issue someone might have. Attending to such things is their own duty, unless they ask for help. Getting back to the subject of pain, imo there are definitely different types. I agree that acute trauma, whether it comes from physical injuries or ailments, emotional experiences or existential paradign shifts, is NOT inherently necessary. If anything, with some of the people I've talked to, whatever "lessons" they gained from their experiences are offset by how much it warped their minds, emotions and body. Even in regards to changing one's beliefs and paradigms, I'm starting to come around to the conclusion that NO ONE has infinite cognitive flexibility, not even a supposed enlightened being perhaps, and you can only change your beliefs so far over the course of one lifetime. Better that individual and social beliefs be closer to what is true and real, than expecting everyone to have infinite cognitive flexibilty. Positive pain, in my view, would be the process of slowly gaining greater understanding over time, realizing past mistakes and false assumptions, along with getting the body to readjust to better posture. There is certainly some discomfort involved, but it tends to lead to fairly quick catharsis and joy at the same time. Updating immature beliefs can be part of that as well, although if your core beliefs get ripped apart and put back together too many times, it tends to tear you down.
