  1. Middle Class Daoism : Bagua vs MMA

With all due respect, it’s just not that easy to break a bjj black belt or professional mma fighter’s neck. Also, we use to wear blindfolds when we’d roll sometimes so once a good grappler gets a hold of you, they don’t really need to “see” you. Also, I saw a prison fight video at a seminar once where they showed a guy sitting there with his back flayed open enough to see his rib bones and one of his eyes was literally hanging about 5 inches out of his eye socket, just dangling there by the vein. The instructor then preceded to tell us that not only did the guy live, but he killed the guy that did that to him. Just sayin.
  2. One meal a day

It’s actually suppose to be very good for you because it gives the system a break and your getting the added benefits of intermittent fasting. Look up the OMAD diet. The thing is you need to eat a lot for that one meal to make sure you get your daily requirement for calories. I’m extremely thin so it was too difficult for me to keep the weight on while trying to eat 2500+ calories at one sitting.
  3. Glutamine to rebuild the gut

I believe garlic is a prebiotic so should be fine but I’ve read oregano oil will harm friendly bacteria and you should cycle on and off and you definitely should be taking probiotics when on and after the cycle to rebuild the colony.

  9. loving and loss

Hi Des, so sorry for your loss. I just lossed my pug Max a month ago and for me it has been the hardest thing I've ever dealt with emotionally as I've never been closer to any other being in my life and consider him my soulmate. When I looked into his eyes I could see GOD, for real. I personally believe attachment is part of the "game" and it's how we deal with it that matters, not avoiding it. Being so "attached " to him has made me more kind, loving, and compassionate and therefore a better person and I don't believe I would be this better person if I hadn't been "all in"...his true gift to me. I'm always gonna miss him and love him but he will never really be gone from me and his gift to me will be with me forever. Eat right, take walks out in the fresh air and sunlight, and meditate or do whatever practice you do and it will get better, I promise. I'm sending you and your man healing love and light. Take care. Blessings, Michael

  19. Chinese Martial Arts and MMA/UFC

I attended a seminar once and the very first thing we did before learning any techniques was watch video of real fights, street and prison. They were the most violent things I'd ever seen. This one guy had his eyeball hanging out the socket and another guy had to have over a thousand stitches from knife wounds. Both fights had to be broken up and everyone lived to tell about it. The human body is amazing and can do far more than you might think when in a life or death situation. All I said was that they are no guarantee and I stand by my statement...BLESSINGS!
  20. Chinese Martial Arts and MMA/UFC

I agree with everseeking and That Guy. I would like to add that back in my grappling days we would roll blindfolded as well. Now I'm certainly not saying it would b a cake walk trying to submit someone who just gouged out my eye but if I had or got you to the ground it would absolutely be possible and if I hadn't already done so I too would b gouging, biting, ripping, AND breaking...because of course I'd be pretty pissed off that I just lost an eye! People use the eye and nut shot a lot as their fight ending choice but even they don't ALWAYS work. The throat shot is king, IF you can hit it AND justify killing someone AND accept possibly going to prison...BLESSINGS!
  21. Chinese Martial Arts and MMA/UFC

This is absolutely correct. Intentionally going to the ground in order to submit the opponent is the genius of bjj and no traditional CMA can rightly claim this strategy as there own...BLESSINGS!
  22. Hello Ya Mu, I was wondering if you did long distance transmissions? Thank you...BLESSINGS!!!

  24. Pushups as conditioning

Please don't tell me what I know or don't know, you do not know me. My statement wasn't meant as an attack on your advice. I've trained with 4 UFC champions and numerious other world class, professional martial artists, athletes, millitary people, chiropractors, doctors, and trainers. "Broomstick" rows are fine as a form of rehab or for rank beginners. BLESSINGS!!!
  25. Pushups as conditioning

Yes...and are better than rows. BLESSINGS!!!
