You can still do a Skype class currently if that's possible. I have heard excellent feedback on that one ... Or, if possible, a direct class - Santi wrote earlier why he thinks that is the best ... and I agree

Alternately, you can stop hamming.. and it will force some humility up your ... And may be your girlfriend with stay a lil longer ... if that crying and hamming stops Just curious, what is your Yidam or Ishta devata? Which of the five Kulas do you belong to?

Yes, but most can recognize, even if they cannot play themselves, when someone else is actually playing music as against beating it to death - all the time thinking he is playing music

Well you have no clue about my lineage or practice do you? I won't spend time explaining that to you, someone who has not left the shores of US but "learnt" from the true lineage of Mahasiddhas in about 4 years after advertising for a guru on E-sangha. As what you write - stuff you read here and there with such imperfection, speak for your perception of things. Even Mikaelz seems to make more sense than you at times...actually most of the times.. I guess a lot of people on this board - way ahead in practice, understanding and realization than myself - don't comment on your claims and "my way is the only way" because they understand, and non-superficially. That I get tempted to respond to folks like you now and then shows I need to practice much harder There is never a Taomeow or a Vajrasattva involved in such discussions, I guess that is the personal lesson for me from this thread

That doesn't always work I guess? Does it? Such students begin to preach elsewhere and claim to have experienced it all and understood it all ... but we all love stand up, don't we?

I do that too... I practice Japa, without verbally uttering any syllables (called manasik or mental) and observe or hear every syllable recited in the mind. After a period of practice, there is a high vibrational rate and then boom, silence. However there is no intentional effort to find this gap as the practice naturally leads to the realization of this gap that has always been. Hamsa or Soham (depending on what you choose - cessation of karma or enjoyment of its fruits) recited while observing the breath eventually leads one to the Gap as well.

Here are the details ... I do my Qigong/Zazen/Kriyas during this time preceded by an intention to tune into Santi's healing session. Works great

Absolutely true! After practicing a certain Kriya for about 6 hours at a stretch, there was a whole body orgasm that went on and one for nearly a week. It was good and all that and after it ended, there was no insight gained from that. And not to mention how helpful it was to get lost frequently while having to present an important proposal before 200 folks that week

Falun gong, anyone having any good exeperience with it?
Siliconvalley1 replied to a topic in General Discussion
Any particular thing you feel lacking in SFQ or something better in Falun that you would like to try these exercises? For example, I use xiang gong from time to time when I need to generate a substantial amount of chi in a short period of time and put it to specific use or when I don't want to really use my mind to guide the chi like in SFQ. Two things Chunyi Lin states are: 1. SFQ is a medical Qigong system and there are others, spiritual, martial arts etc. While these are inter-related and share some common elements, goal of SFQ is healing. He does indicate that you can "expand" this practice beyond the healing aspect but its goal is not really alchemy but healing. 2. He also states you cannot become a master by practicing SFQ. You can heal, yourself and others, but not become a Qigong master. I will ask him next time what he means by a "master" though -
Is it possible to learn the microcosmic orbit without a teacher?

Yes, according to Chunyi Lin. Get his Spring Forest Qigong course. It includes Small Universe orbit as an integral part. -

DUAL SHAKTIPAT TRANSMISSION KUNDALINI MEDITATION THURSDAY NIGHT 11 - 11:30pm with Susan Carlson & Santiago Dobles TUNE IN for a good ZAP! : )
Siliconvalley1 replied to Vajrasattva's topic in General Discussion
Well, not a convincing or a logical answer to my question, but you're right, I wasn't expecting one here anyway... your reply speaks a lot for what I was hoping to indicate And yes, you can repeat the "threat to identity", "belief systems questioned" things again ... It would be easier to copy paste from the other thread no? Or are waiting for more members from E-Sangha to back you up? He he...no offence brother, just kidding... a taste of your own medicine If it "feels good" to ignore me, please do so ... but is that dependently originated? Else you can't!!!!! And Xabir, I get it - please don't type here again what DO is ... I will read your blog again and again till my Thisness becomes Thatness or Thereness ...lest I be accused of hijacking this thread Just kidding again ...he he ... Have fun all of you ... -

Siliconvalley1 replied to Vajrasattva's topic in General Discussion
Would it be helpful Mikael? I mean getting a Shaktipat - where there is an inherent effort to connect with the Universal ONE? Would that be detrimental and causing a "subtle" roadblock? Just asking why we need all this Shaktipat and stuff as Buddha seems to talk of it nowhere ... Is the "view" behind this activity "right" for view matters most and not the technique itself Interesting observation though -

This is for the stubborn Vajrahridaya bodhisattva
Siliconvalley1 replied to goldisheavy's topic in General Discussion
Well, it still fits the definition if you are an eternalist - its all one essence after all - there is only ONE ... no DO no DAH ... So Vajrahridaya can be anybody and everybody -
I got you... just used your post to make some general statements, not directed towards you ... And yes, their definition (for some reason I suspect it is Bodri's more so than Nan's) of Kundalini is severely deficient. Also, I posted that bit essentially for that point: those people who think they have attained something when they havent - again not directed at KAP but generally regarding the "New Age" kundalini movement.

It is not necessary to take anything as a Gospel or with a rigid mindset. At the same time, I see no harm in taking what someone with experience says, if it is relevant, like Master Nan. A theoretical foundation has been considered necessary along with practice to make sure one is not walking in a blind alley and is doing right things the right way. I don't really understand why one should refuse to accept a valuable, logically sound piece of advice with some lame excuse such as "practice and just let go". I am not speaking of any one particular here but just speaking generally. It really helps to know what one is practicing, it's background, experiences of those who have already walked the path, the wisdom of the seers captured in the scriptures and so on. It also helps one remain grounded and dispel fantasies about Kundalini and enlightenment. Overall, IMO, it makes practice balanced. I guess this is not specific with Kundalini, but true for it as well. According to Hindu metaphysics, every being - sentient or otherwise, is on an evolutionary path to spiritual progress and will eventually be liberated. So, in the continuum, there is no stopping really! And it would be hardly the right attitude to wait and let her ascend by herself without any practice. Moreover, Kundalini can, instead of ascent, descend to the lower chakras, called Patala or Netherworld chakras and demonic tendencies arise within the human. The Hindu mythologies are filled with stories of demons whose "breath was in their knee". I agree his definition sounds a little rigid and not representing the magnanimity of Shakti, but his overall take on it makes sense - Awakening Kundalini is not the end of it. Having met Master Nan personally, I would disagree that his intention would be anything close to slandering others or proving others wrong. He shares what he thinks is right and one is free to take it or leave it. But masters of many other yogic traditions seem to say similar things and I see no reason to doubt his teachings as prejudiced or narrow. We hear of folks with full-blown Kundalini awakenings and Crown center activations and all that every day. It would help to validate such claims. If not for judging someone, at least for purposes of self-evaluation. Siddhis do not matter really but they do serve as good milestones along the path. While Siddhis may or may not manifest in an enlightened person (in terms of non-dual or advaitic), a Kundalini adept (who has opened his Crown chakra and experienced the union of shiva and jiva) is a storehouse of Siddhis. He may not choose to display them or use them but he does posses them. Someone who can demonstrate any such core siddhis can easily validate his "awakening". One such siddhi could be that of vishva manas. As he is completely awake and connected with the Universe, his mind is one with every other and he can, at any instant, know what anyone else is thinking. There are various other Siddhis. Like I said, Siddhis are not important but can be useful to validate claims or self-evaluate. So, who are the fully awakened ones here who can demonstrate any siddhi of reasonable worth?
