Most of them die young. Iron shirt is good for withstanding blows but is not so good for health and longevity.

ROFL. I saw in a thread somewhere that some people said KAP is a joke. I couldn't find the thread so I'll post here. I do believe KAP is a joke if included in the same sentence with awakening or power. Oh wait, it's already included in the title. I read in another thread about Verdsi and Maxifreak, that some teachers have some special abilities and use it to teach wimpy crap or even hurt people. In that thread it explained the French have a term for this: "Merde avec chocolat" which means shit with chocolate, and KAP should be included in this as well. Looking at what is taught in the KAP seminars it is easy to tell that it is a bunch of unrelated and weak practices from different countries, and the teacher makes people think it's special because he can do things with their energy and is a good story teller. Sound familiar.? KAP = Merde avec chocolat

I get along fine on some forums. Concerning aggression, some here use it and insults but they do it in a 'nice' enough way so that it goes under the radar of the moderators, a form of cowardice. I slap that kind in the face right at the start ... sometimes, particularly here on this forum. Notice that most of them are advertising their classes here and they have this territoriality thing going on, which reminds me of something my dad used to say: "there's less competition at the top". Anyway, I'll restate what I was pointing to earlier about the tai chi and the back. What I said was that while tai chi is good for a lot of things it doesn't do much for your back. I was talking about what Eviander thinks of tai chi: the form, NOT standing postures, NOT the wimpy chi kung they do for warmups, JUST the form. Of course I'm comparing it to a good system of nei kung, which is much much better for your back than the tai chi form. Naturally people without the experience of a good nei kung system (which is most here) will think differently. I think it was you who implied, in response to my earlier statement, that the part that comes after push hands is sparring, but I wasn't referring to that, as far as I'm concerned sparring is an extension push hands training, and if taken too seriously is like learning it wrong. I know what the 'experts' will think about that statement. The part that I was referring to that comes after push hands is stealing the opponents balance, which makes them helpless, and using it to apply the thousands of ways there are to kill people without really trying. I've practiced with some cold hearted killers, peoiple who enjoy killing, people who teach top level killing arts to the CIA and other special forces, guys that have killed more people than I've made love to, and I lost count a long time ago; but if you steal their balance when they try to hit you they become helpless for a second, which is more than enough time. Now, we may surmise that some of the experts here never heard of or have seen the tai chi way of stealing the balance of another, which can often be done without touching them, and so ... let the shit storm begin Prove something on a forum? On a forum like this? You've got to be kidding, I would much rather leave you in the dark.

Wow Stig, you are a moderator here? Now that is a surprise. What a great burden if you have to actually read all the posts on this place - or do you just wait for complaints?
-
You're assuming that was only for you. Point well taken, I see how it can apply to some of the others here too ROFL. This place can give a person a persecution complex. I suppose I was pointing out the same thing as you in my own charming way.
-
You are assuming I want to 'debate' on this forum with these two bit experts, it would be best if you didn't assume such things my friend.

OK, "go screw yourself"

Yes, I guess you are right, evidently I don't know anything about the SYSTEM of tai chi since the part of it I've spent several years on now, the part that comes after push hands, isn't even listed here. Also, keep in mind that this moron, Eviander, who wrote the first post, doesn't like to exercise, and doesn't want muscle tone because he doesn't want sex appeal. I was writing to him and it was mainly about the form of tai chi, and yes, some teachers will have you do chi kung before the form but grand masters don't, they expect you to do that before class. Doesn't want muscle tone because he doesn't want sex appeal i see none of you moron experts told him that strengthening lies at the foundation of cultivation and that health IS sex appeal.

Jesus Christ! Are all you morons that use this forum for free advertising so fucking full of yourselves? Do you ever get a brown tint to your vision? More than you Twirp. But I want to thank you all for agreeing with me, that chi kung is better than tai chi for your back, while saying I don't know anything. ______________________________________ If it doesn't matter then why post for effect? The usual: those who know don't need to be told and for the rest it's a waste of hot air, and you may well be 'one of the rest', that's why. Oh, OK, I guess none of the top masters left China and moved to the West in secret, and I didn't spend the last 25 years learning from any of them either. Nope, there's no 'real' tai chi here, just hot air. It refers to fighting.

With all due respect you sound as though you know very little about Taijiquan. As it is a holistic system Taiji is focused equally on the spine, shoulders, hips and legs to develop transmission of force. If you are not learning how to open up the joints in these parts of the body and utilising them as whole I'm afraid you are not learning 'real' Taiji. 'Real'? Probably more real than you can imagine or have seen, but no matter. Tai chi will surely help with posture and alignment but that's just a small piece of the puzzle. Two of the more important aspects of curing or preventing back pain is strengthening (which requires bending over and to the side and back - postures and movements) and flexing, and tai chi has none of it. The primary cause of back pain in most people is poor muscle strength so strengthening is essential. Maybe tai chi can help a little, but it's nothing compared to a good holistic chi kung system, which you may have not seen. I suspect it's what some people call warmups (which where I come from is chi kung) that is helping their backs mre than the taichi itself. Tai chi is great for a lot of things but it simply doesn't do much for your back compared to other systems.

Tai chi is good for a lot of things but it simply doesn't do much for your back, neither does chi kung if the practice is done all standing up straight.

Not quite, several of the very best and most advanced keep a low profile and are relatively unknown.

Here's what actually happened, pretty minor stuff, but as you will see, no staring: Dropping a goat at 100ft.
-
Disgusting advertising, four of my teachers can do it and they never bothered with Silat. Oh, it was a project By the way, it doesn't require staring or even seeing the victim to make it work.

My good friend Alphone is a collector and translator of texts of the Taoist Cannon and other Taoist and Buddhist arts and his hard work should be acknowledged if not appreciated. The advice given about vegetarianism is accurate advice from the ancient masters for cultivators of longevity and the good ole' spiritual high. They aren't for undisciplined people who read the Louzy and the Chuangzy (.001% of the Taoist Cannon) making them experts on Taoism and allows them to interpret those writings to mean whatever they want.

It isn't OK to do* the MCO either standing or sitting, but it won't hurt you real bad if you are healthy to start with. By do* I mean the mind games type of MCO as taught by Chia and others of his spawn. Real chi kung does the MCO in countless ways while you are standing, with movement, and you don't even have to think about it.

Getting a bone marrow transplant means they have to take drugs that kill their immune system, doesn't it, in order to prevent rejection? So their immune system gets killed anyway.

Yes, gold in his own pocket. I'll pass on his stuff, he appears to be a nice guy but ... just say no to thread drift.

Non contact - internal Gun technique we practice

That sounds like a good book, Stig, I think I'll get it. I had thought the only English translation of the I-Ching by a Taoist master was the one by Alfred Huang, it is a beautiful book. I can't understand people who like I-Ching translations written by Western scholars when they know there is one (or more) by a Taoist master.

Here's another Systema video which has good demonstrations of stealing the balance. Also you will see the use of some mind control techniques that we also use. At 1:25 you see a mind control technique blended with what we call a hand signal, at 1:40 it shows a pure mind control technique, and another, different one at 2:15. Systema balance stealing and mind control All of these methods are known and taught in some of the Chinese internal martial arts. There are similar videos of my teachers, but they are part of a private collection.

Here's a video for you Durkhrod. Here is a video of Systema showing that it has many of the high level internal aspects. You can see that the attackers balance is frequently stolen, the softness and efficiency of the applications, and how it is used against weapons. My martial arts training is very similar. It also shows a gun disarm which ends with the gun pointing at the gun holder, which I mentioned in an earlier post. Both Systema and my martial lineage came from the same region of Asia. Of course, Orb will say that the attackers aren't tying hard, but the fact is that the harder they try the more they get hurt.
