Trunk, How do we know it is not your Double moderating. (Hardlight joke). Oh yes...on with the thread. Finished the Hardlight Mount Meher Summer Retreat talks. Mark's energetic map of the 4 assemblies of consciousness is extremely detailed and pinpoint in precision and execution. Those in the know...know. Happy Father's day, Dad's.

Thanks for the reply about the other shaktipat experiences Susan. So no one else. Huh? What interests me about the Deeksha/Oneness system is the speed of actually teaching shaktipat. Basically one goes to a 9 day course in Bali (use to be 21 day course in India, and I believe they are shortening it further) and is able to transmit at that point. The fascinating part to me is I have met about 10 deeksha givers and even though their personal lives are not always in order, the shakti flows strong in sessions. Specifically I remember laughing for 2 hours straight in a meditative state about the absurdity of boxes we places ourselves in. Literally and figuratively. Receiving shaktipat in a box (instead of outside) driving in our boxes, boxing out thought and bodies (physically in shoes, energetically with luminostiy restriction)...anyways it went on and on like this for 2 hours and cosmic laughter was coming out of ever pore of my body, because of our geometrical choices as humans. One big divine joke. Deeksha was offered at a yoga studio about a mile from my house (at the time). I have sinced dropped in on a group that does it outside on the beach in Laguna and seadrift is used with makeshift sandpile for blessings to others (place in the center of the sand). Kind of like being a kid. All sessions were done on donation basis (most people would throw 10 or 15 bucks in the middle at the end), and the experience was illuminating (they do seem to concentrate on crown and heart chakra as an entry-point). Have since read some negative stuff on the internet second-hand, but you know how that goes.
  3. What is your favorite Qigong System and Why?

Well, We're all fools and all kings, and everything in between, and we're all learning and all teaching, at least is what I've seen
  4. El Cheapo tea challenge

A little less than a hundred bucks, a little more than 6 months (let's say about 200 days), about 50 cents a day, less than 10 cents a serving, Sounds like a great deal to me. Thanks for the response!

Durkhrod, How long is that 350 gm cake expected to last? How many servings?

Well, in Bob's defense we tend to impose limitations based on our current situation/incarnation. An older Jewish male retired engineer, will tend to get a different charge from certain words then someone in their 30's. It is what it is...and it's all good. Anyways, on topic- Does anyone have experience with any other shaktipat systems. Really expected more input. What about Deeksha/Oneness Blessing? I've got a bit of a story to tell, but will talk later.

Ah, the egoic channel. How true. I have a slighly different take on KR, as previously I used it a alot to treat physical symptoms. Best success was in my mother, when she was experiencing numbness in both sides of her abdomen for several years prior. I treated her for 5 minutes (let the energy run for an hour as directed) and she woke up the next morning without any numbness. That was 5 years ago, and it has yet to return. I wanted her to do bloodwork to confirm the subjective, but she refuses. Not sure how much my love and intent for wanting her to heal vs. the KR was involved, but it's all related. Other times, I have treated things like teething pains and colic, but with much less success. Seems to me different energetic techniques work better for specific conditions, but haven't mapped it all out yet.

Words, verbage, attachment, non-attachment...fascinating subject. I personally am neutral on the diction, but for the more sensitively- inclined I suggest the following: Relationships heal Divine Passage heals Sacred Temple heals Life force heals Yoni heals
  9. sleeping time /dream practise

Rainbow Vein- I know Ya Mu says it is not in the book...but it's in the book. Sometimes in the words, but mostly in the spaces. Read again in a meditative state and ask your Higher Self for instruction. PS. I am playing with M's words slightly as he is correct; it is impossible to describe in the book,...but not impossible to experience. Keep going, and blessings on your path.

I have also received transmission in dreamstate; from a tibetan llama. Felt an intense purification after what was percieved as almost a "shock paddle" electricity. He used a mudra I have yet to see in text. Carson- Your subtle physical body is shining sparking light. On the topic of Karma. IMO we are all processing karma from others on a daily basis. It varies depending on your wordly situation. Certainly specific professions/purposes will feel this to a much more intense and obvious degree (ie. energy workers), but even massage therapists, doctors, waiters, etc carry some of the load. And this is why IMO everyone could benefit from some type of energetic meditative practice. Have you ever seen a Oncologist after 20 years of practice (without any meditative discipline)? How about a Tao bums poster after 5 and in the future 10 years without that discipline? (A few come to mind). The stability of the energetic component of daily practice helps to lighten the load for self and ultimately the benefit of others. Off to meditate...
  11. Transmissions

If anyone has a good amount of free time, consider listening to Mark Griffin's 5 lectures and 2 meditations on the Pratyahara Kunda. If you break it up into 1 a day segments, takes an hour a day and one week to complete. By the far the most articulate and experiental version of the eight limbs of yoga, I have come across (and by some white dude no less ). Have you ever given a gentle mental palm strike to a precise spot on your central channel? Isn't it time? Sorry I can't post the link, but the web filter on my work computer is acting up. Anyways, Hardlight.org, go to the free podcast section on the left and look for Pratyahara Kunda.

For the record, I have the good fortune to receive shaktipat from Susan, approximately 10 times over the last year and she has never asked for any contribution to her personal bank acct. I have donated money to charity in her honor, and wish to support her energetically for her purpose, but she isn't doing this for money (IMO).
  13. Shaktipat

True, about the abuse. If someone is interested in learning the purity of where he is coming from, IMO learn Kundalini Reiki and ask his spiritual teacher Master Koot Hoomi (the real one) to teach some lessons. But this is only if you really resonate with him or theosophy. There are easier paths, some right under our noses/thread replies.
  14. Shaktipat

Oh and Gurunath...Sat with him in darshan several times and enjoyed a "setting sun". (Love the way he says that "look at the setting sun, look at the setting sun!") Very strong energy body and his use of mantra is well-developed. His 2 CDs on mantra are very instructional in their precision and format for learning some complex sanskrit phrases. IMO, his use of pranapat is unparalleled (I mean talk about breathing someone else's breath), but he too tends to be a bit tough-love for me. I like how he donates a good deal of money to charities of his motherland (he doesn't talk about this much), but when I saw him berate a young woman for talking out of turn in an intensive during an open invitation to talk (I know, doesn't make sense) and then making fun of her weight, I was a bit put off. Who knows, maybe just cultural dogma, maybe I'm a bit of a softy. But coming near Newport Beach, CA expecting no one to be materialistically inclined, is like going to Ganeshpuri if you want to see Lamborghinis. Sorry so fiesty.

Was wondering when Krishnamurti and Gurunath would be mentioned. It's questionable whether K should be discussed in a talk about shaktipat, since he chose not to give it (or didn't know how, depending who you believe). IMO, K was a true Jnana Yogi master with a wounded emotional body, due to his own K rewiring prematurely, because of his fathers pressuring at an early age. Again, completely my opinion. He was a master of inquiry and personal responsibility, but when he himself was questioned would revert to his pre- 5 year old self (emotional). Some say tough love, but I percieve over-reacting. Of course then he would say things like "religion is a sensitivity to reality" and "truth is a pathless land", and one could just contemplate those 2 statements for years. But, a bit too "top-heavy" to use a Gurunath phrase.
  16. Flys are Taoist Masters

Well, there is a resonant vibration from being in a specific level with the insect world/animal world from high level meditation, and then there is the physiological fact that some people have increased sweetness to their cholesterol causing papular urticaria/arthropod assualts. This is also known as "bug prone". Two different things. Personally humingbirds are very friendly with me, but not as much they are with say, a waterfall or a bee is to flowers.

Well then, Keep fighting the good fight, until you realize the only battle is you. Peace
  18. Shaktipat

Interesting juxtapositon...fundamentalist shaktipat. Keep your shoulders wide and strong, because that's a heavy cross to bear.
  19. Shaktipat

Cool! It worked (see video above). Thanks Apepch7. You have no idea how long that took me, even with your simple precise directions. Apparently the only thing my prana/chi is good for with computers, is breaking them.
  20. Shaktipat

Not too computer savy. How do you embed (just learned that term) a youtube video to this thread? Thanks.
  21. Shaktipat

This thread has a lot of powerful teachers, some of whom are rarely mentioned, some spoken of unkindly, in other threads . Also wanted to mention Nandhi and the Siddhar sages. Shakti love to all.

OK, more time now. So decided to give $50 to the seva. Figure that helps 4 families (with the matching donation) decrease their chances of serious illness for a lifetime. I feel good, goddess feels good, K kicks up and we're all happy. Then I decide to get rid of some long overdue books from childhood (visiting parents house). Usually when this is done where I live, not much is acquired in exchange. I head to the bookstore hand them over, am told to be back in 20 minutes, so browse their small "spiritual" section. Not much appeals until I see 3 books together, Muktananda Play of Consciousness, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche collection, a book on Bardos (forget the author). I bring them to the front waiting to see what I owe, the clerk looks at the books hands them to me and gives me $50 extra for my books. So back to square one. I sign up for Deepen Your Practice. Looks very complimentary to KAP practices and thorough curriculum. Then order few extra CDs from Hard Light product center. Finally used the $50. Then I get an email back "Please consider canceling your order for the CDs as they are included in month 5,6 and 18 of DYP. Use the extra time to deeply immerse yourself in each months teachings." Cancel order. Call my friend Scott for a Rolfing session. Get the session, ready to pay and he says "it's been taken care of." I forgot I had worked on his knee in passing a few months before (torn MCL,crusciate, and swelling the size of a softball). He claims the swelling went away by the next morning and no more pain. Anyways, this is a very long-winded way of saying I am feeling synchronistic benefits from the small gesture and have to go now to listen to States and Stages Part 2. Thanks again Trunk.
  23. Questions for Goldisheavy

GIH- Very honest, revealing post. Just one question. Why "roughly 35"? How would saying "I'm 33", change your perception of reality? How would saying "I'm 33," change the readers perception of your perception of reality? Why reveal so much, and yet not own that truth? Oh wait that's more than one question. Cheers.
  24. Mark Griffin video: Cognition

Much gratitude, Trunk. Marks words are impregnated with Shakti. Have a story to tell about my donation experience, but no time. Will explain later.
  25. Chinese Shamanism

Years ago, while seeing an acupuncturist, he asks about my wife. I show him a picture and he starts explaining minute details of her personality from the photo (he's never met her). Really detailed stuff. Then in broken english, he says "ahhh, she eat very, very good, like eat very, very good" and just keeps going on about her eating habits. Her voracious appetite has always been a running joke between us and she is hyperthyroid so can eat like crazy and not gain weight. I looked back at the picture and searched for hints from a western standpoint, but couldn't find any discernable clues (no exophthalmos, visible goiter, hair or skin changes, etc), but from eastern face reading he had her figured out pretty well. Pick up a book about face reading (sometimes you can find Ohashi's at Borders) and check it out when you get a chance. At the very least, you will get a good laugh at some of the pictures.
