  1. Mark Griffin video: Cognition

Thanks Trunk. Lately I have felt compelled to send donations to worthy causes and this fits the bill. Of course, it is always best to give selflessly, but contributing in this way seems to strengthen and brighten the aura, so good for all involved.
  2. Mark Griffin video: Cognition

Trunk- What do you know about the TMA Seva? I feel drawn to contribute.
  3. Transmissions

Many times, when sending chi, I see a vision of the person at the age the main symptom occured and send to that dimension. I always thought that was standard ...Other times it seems appropriate to shift things ancestrally or in the womb.
  4. Glenn Morris's Meditation Mastery Series

Haven't read the book, but we did Bone Marrow Nei Gong, Chi Packing, allowing screens to clean the marrow, and suprisingly hair breathing down to the marrow in KAP 2. So I assume some version of Spinal Marrow Clearing was included, but if you explain the technique I may be able to help more. As far as the Hatsumi hand-shake eye clearing energy game; most likely Hatsumi sent energy to Glenn that affected his liver pathway, clearing out one too many glasses of scotch, thereby allow clearer vision. Just a guess, though. Cheers
  5. Kundalini

Kriyas are often discussed as blockages/karma, and this is certainly a valid paradigm. But IMO, many times, kriyas are spiritual excitement, swaying with the ebb and flow of the Great Mystery...the dancing of Divinity. And this may mean the same or the complete opposite, depending on yr perspective.
  6. Nice post Makern. Divine energy has an intelligence of it's own, unconcerned with labels. "New Age" has such a variety of interpretations that it is difficult to get any uniform consensus about what it actually means. IMO, using computers is about as new age as it gets. Favorite new age quote- "No matter how new age you get, old age is gonna kick your ass!" (Utah Phillips) Speaking of quotes (and integration), just finished Joseph Campbell's Masks of God: Oriental Mythology. Heady stuff. Last paragraph, last page: "The old doctrine of Egypt of the Secret of the Two Partners, the Mahayana of Voidness, Mutual Arising and the Flower Wreath, the Taoist of the complementarity of yang and yin, the Chinese Communist of interpermeation, and the Tantric lore of the prescence within each being of all the gods and demons of all the storied heavens and hells: these, it would seem, variously turned and phrased, represent the one timeless doctrine of eternal life.."
  7. The Perfect Morning Ritual for Optimal Awesomeness.

Soaring Crane. Thanks for the ear reminder. Very thorough. Oh, it's called a tragus.
  8. Meeting the Challenge

When the subconscious and conscious mind integrate, tempo tends to slow. Subconscious is generally 4x's slower than typical speech patterns. He displays other subtle physical cues as well. Believe me, he is not attached to the "orange dress".
  9. Fudosa/ Sage Seat

Creates an easy Mula Bandha (root lock). This seals the 1st chakra energy and allows upward flow. I assume Glen Miller means Glenn Morris or I will have to find some of my old jazz CD's.
  10. Life is cross-cultural, Life is multi-functional, Life is beautiful. Celebrate this! 3BOB, Create or transend any language limitations you wish. Om to you.
  11. Meeting the Challenge

Has juice for sure. Reminds me of a purified Adi Da. Same lineage. Favorite Muktandanda story: "Baba, one of your disciples eats meat and drinks wine!" Baba- "So what, he shits it out the next day, why are you still holding on to it". This could be the answer to many TTB disputes.
  12. Believing that chi (prana, shakti, etc) exists, but is limited to transfer through one's physical prescence is like believing that gravity exists but only on Tuesdays. It is so absurd that it makes me giggle. Thanks for that.
  13. Very inspiring. Feel kidney kidney chi tonification while watching. Any reason you stand behind the student during chi projection? The reason I ask is because I had a teacher that was very big on this. He felt that people project the majority of their stuff forward, so you could more easily change patterns from behind versus in front of, or from the side. But, of course, chi is non-linear, so I don't know if this makes a difference. Any thoughts?
  14. GARY CLYMAN DEMONSTRATES EMPTY FORCE!

Stig, You want to see magic? Guess what happens when double-blind placebo controlled studies don't show what the people/company paying for the studies want to see. Ta-dah. They vanish (or the study parameters change or info. is fudged, or etc.) I'm not much of a conspiricist, but have seen this with my own eyes. See if you can get involved (behind the scenes) with a study sometime. Your stance on this may change.
  15. Well, Leonard Cohen has a deep earth voice. And he phrases his speech and songs very slowly. Hypnotherapists note that the subconscious moves about four times slower than the conscious mind (for most people). So he is unconsciously working in that tempo, and the monotone deep resonance contributes. There is a reason people consider him a romantic singer. If I had to guess, I'd venture that you exhibit somnambulist qualities (going very deep very quickly). As far as the auditory preference (over visual), this is relatively common with wise spiritual women. Kinesthetic and auditory pathways will typically dominate over visual.
  16. Today I tried to live simply and frugally

Does this diet soda contain caffeine? If so, you will have to cut back slowly to avoid withdrawal. Also substitute green or white tea (make it at home to save money). Hypnotherapy is very good for changing habits such as these. You could even try some free sessions on youtube to get a feel for it. That alone may do the trick, but if you sense a deeper issue, you may need to see a good clinical hypnotherapist in person.
  17. Cat, I am no expert on the subject, and it has been about a year since I read the book, but a few examples come to mind. Also this map fits more the Japanese godai and ayurvedic than pure Chinese (though there is some overlap). James Earl Ray (the African American actor, not the guy with all the recent problems) is a good example of earth. Jeff Buckley for heart/air (singing voice, but also talking- listen to an interview sometime, I am sure there are some on youtube). And any fierce competitor with disciplined willpower will do for fire. Edit-maybe not any (not Mike Tyson, think more Harvey from Celebrity Boot Camp- he is prototypical fire voice). The book is filled with insightful exercises, but one you could try now is to take the vowel sound "ah" and say it with as many emotional states as you can think of (excited, happy, joyful, sorrow, sad, angry, orgasmic, relaxed, calm, humorous, etc). Then sense where you feel each in your body, and what else you may become aware of. Bye for now.
  18. A third eye technique, anyone tried this?

Firts part yes, second part- not so much. And that's really the crux of the biscuit (to use a FZ reference). Isn't it? The integration, the balance, the second dantien. What if someone here worked diligently, methodically, intelligently, cultivating the 1st and 3rd dantien for hours daily for months to years on end, but did very little for 2nd d.t. Ah, but then, what if said person was blessed with a newborn. Well, I suppose that would really bridge the gap. That's when the true qigong starts.
  19. A comprehensive book on this subject is Sound Medicine by Wayne Perry. He covers the functions of the voice (vibration, generation, resonation, articulation), range and pitch, vocal registers, vocal quality (timbre, texture, volume, enunciation, delivery, flow, attitute/spirit), voice control exercises, vocal maturity, elements of the voice, etc After reading it, I could understand why someone like Eckhart Tolle sounds so trippy (he's functioning from the etheric element/higher chakras), whereas someone like Marilyn Monroe is so overly breathy (water voice, sex chakra). Oh, and the overtoning exercises are great for mental clarity. "The voice is not only indicative of man's character, but is the expression of his spirit." Hazrat Inayat Khan
  20. Green tea vs Black tea

Yes, steep first and then discard for decreased caffeine. White is slightly less then green, but not as big a difference as one may think (15 mg vs 20 mg. for average cup).
  21. Amazing diagnosis of TCM doctor

Hmm...I don't know much about dry needling, but the vast majority of trigger points are palpable. The vasoconstriction of the nerves, lymph, muscles, fascia, blood flow, etc is what makes them "trigger" when touched. It's true that they can present as satellite lesions/points, but they are reproducable and can be mapped out according to injury type, location, etc.
