  1. Michael is correct. Also, when one heel is tucked in perineum (example the left), the right hip is externally rotated (like butterfly pose) and the right heel is pressing flat against the left shin (sometimes he recommended squeezing this contact point. The perineum pressure creates a lock (bandha); just remember to change sides frequently and build up the time in this posture or you can throw your back out.
  2. Easy full lotus = Rodney Yee Advanced Yoga 25 min Hip section DVD (Iyengar Tradition) John Friend Anusara Yoga: Growing A Lotus DVD (Tantra Based) Paul Grilley Yin Yoga (Book or DVD) (Taoist Yoga based- Pauline Zink, also has good DVD's, but not best for Lotus) If still difficult - Structural Integration (Rolfing, Hellerwork, KMI, Postural Integration, Zen Bodytherapy, CORE, Soma, etc) work with someone willing to put you in the posture (or as close as possible) and lenghthen the fascial restrictions. Good Luck.
  3. KAP class

Santi is a very nice guy in person, but I wouldn't constantly be so disrespectful to his path/methods. Energy can be used in many ways. Good luck to you.
  4. Magnets with your chi gung?

This is very subjective, of course; but I mean recognizing what is called an altered state of consciousness. Beta waves move to alpha, theta, delta (not sure if this is entirely accurate as I don't measure with a device, just my feeling state), more open, less judgemental, neutral, expanded chi flow, shakti smiles, etc. The magnets don't make this happen, they just removes some barriers to allow it to occur more quickly. Oh, and I don't use all the time.
  5. Magnets with your chi gung?

Yes. Can be very beneficial for going deep quickly or focusing on a chakra or specific area, but if you read any crap about becoming 7x's stronger or developing iron chi- that's b.s. So...depends on yr expectations.
  6. Vegetarian diet and body building / hard training

Bill Pearl Vegetarian Bodybuilder (probably "supplemented" with steroids though). Has book with good info. Also can follow a Zone diet (low GI carbs with protein combo at every meal-whey/casein/soy/pea powders, beans etc. The key is regulating blood sugar levels to optimize sustained energy and prevent sugar cravings IMO.
  7. is this safe?

It's as dangerous as wearing pajamas in the daytime...or eating a ham sandwich with chips... Believe me, you will be fine.
