Hi Sean, thanks for admin'n this site- it is a great forum- good roots too- lots to learn /spar on/ discover. how do i "pin" a subject to the top of the list, (i.e. Haiku Chain) so that i don't have to search through the list every time? thanks!

thanks both for the responses. the bookmark idea may the way i go. i was thinking that in my user profile, it shows which strings i have been "playing,," but they only record a few- so i was hoping we could "pin" those there. i agree that public pinning can get "sticky." thanks again.

in the post editor, there is the "bold"symbol, etc; just right of the text color, is a globe/chain image (link); then a picture of a tree: use this for uploading images. as for embedding youtube, i am not that techhy.. btw, i started a post string in the "Tech Support" section of the site- on the bottom of the main page.. called "How Do I.." hopefully this would be a good place for answers to come to us from the great beyond.

well findley, we all know that the Bowl tells all. a bowl is useful because it is empty, yes? having met some well intentioned non-masters, i would recommend that you don't sign on, or write them off, immediately; i agree with the vibe comment- if you can sense deeper than a vibe, then use that skill. notice their health: limping? hunched? sense of humor? compassion? how much fire or water is in their eyes? is it the right amount for you/ your needs? do they "yodafy" excessively? (no offense meant to our own Jedi..) those would be places to start (from my perspective)

- but back to the original question- i agree somewhat with the initial proposition- in that perhaps there is no such thing as moments- that thos are just our brain hiccuping, replaying the occurence, for processing. rather, i feel that there is only one moment- a continual happening, that, if we had a larger perspective (i.e. timeline) that we would see that "moment"occur- that the Tao arose and faded. we have to use metaphors, likening a moment to a sun burning out, which seems to take a long time, but arent suns just splash drips from the latest big bang? so in my impression, there isnt an "each moment" to consider if it is new... the occurence of the universe (sounds like a limiting word, i know) is THE single occurence. this to me is TAO. but don't let me call it that, because we know what "that which is called the Tao" isn't.....

an excellent bit of prose; i however found it inappropriate to chime in, being a continental. good luck with the levitation act, though. and dont lose faith- these bums lurk in the shadow, and without movement, are the first to act. -
Do You Live in the Now Moment?

Paul: do you mean "real" emptiness as opposed to "philosophical" emptiness? i.e. not "that which is called the Tao," but the Tao itself? if not, what is non-philosophical emptiness? Thanks for clearing this up. -
welcome.

yep- nice creation- often i find that the forums are thoroughly "said-" so lurking, as yinny as it may be, allow for the space not generally noticed on forums and blogs. but without the white background, these black letters would be lost. funny that to increase "rank" on the forum, you have to contribute- but i guess both of those things end up on the yangy side of the hill.. discussions filled up answers swirling through ether no need for another word!
