  1. John Changs 1st Westerner student

Vortex, unless something has changed how would Jim know if Wang Liping can walk through walls? Sean or Ken or Kathy are the ones you should ask. Many things have been said and there are circles within circles within circles.According to Becker Jim asked him about his teacher, Drew said he asked about Chunny lynn so he could advance in another direction. Then again, Jim wrote he'd figured out the other levels through his many talks with pak John.Notice he said the immortal everyone thinks he is...immortality usually means freeing oneself from reincarnation. Also remember it's impossible for values not to polarize people, sooner or later someone is going to get offended by them. Here's something else Jim wrote years back that I recall thanks to my near eidectic memory''After having researched tibetan budd. I'm convinced people have developed the same abilities through different methods. Some of the tibetan masters are not to be scoffed at, some are more powerful than pak John.'' Then he goes on to reference Mystery and Magic in Tibet.Jim, seems very determined.Anyway, how soon befoe taobums world war two starts...tick..tick...here it comes!
  2. I thought Bruce Lee was born here and that gave him the right of citizenship.
  3. If you just want phenomena, go take seminars by Robert Peng he bestows empowerments and gives intermediate teachings liberally.Check out his website. Also email Sean Denty he's studied with him-personally.Maybe p.m. Ken see if you can get a direct answer on that. Our directly p/m. Kathy Li, she's made mention of telepathy.Several other members here have studied with Liping.Bruce Lee use to find the second or third man from the top and learn from that person. Most likely that person wouldn't make him kowtow for years and years, thus accelerating the process. Then, when visiting the master you'll be farther along than a newbee.Interestingly, both Bruce Lee and Michael Jordan called it taking the elevator while other are taking the stairs.
  4. S.O.S. MJJ Becker!

Holy Wang Shu Jin Batman! You could be correct! But wait a minute... maybe he meant a non-local approach or a frontal lobe approach where a small part directs larger activities.Actually the question was desighed so Ya Mu might pursue all avenues in answering the question-not be tied down to one course of reasoning.Reductionist formula or metaphysical nonlocality.By the way, in your interview with Jim he said that he's often asked about conserving jing and that the lonlieness finally got to him.You didn't follow this up in your interview or did you but edited it out.Did he intimate how important conserving jing is?
  5. S.O.S. MJJ Becker!

I await the clarity of your insight kind sir?

Wisdom and morality are always foremost, one must be aware of consequences and actions.I know that the divine revels in mystery perhaps that is why these things are not commonplace. It's just a small part of me wishes some of his stuff could be public. How would it effect societal evolution in the modern world?W ould it make us more caring of the natural world if we percieved a symbiosis[not just based on survival] with it?Perhaps it would just engender competition beteewn groups like martial arts.It would totally revise cherished notions about what it means to be human, on par with finding out intelligent alliens are real.Or that there is a sentient God.On the other hand men like Prahlad Jani,Swami Rama, Wim Hoff, the non decomposing monk have all been studied and the world goes on.It's just external observable phenomena is so hard to deny and so convincing. This is why those from the western world are so taken with it, we taught this stuff does not-nay cannot exist!!! For those not[unlike amazing Randi] trying to disprove it but rather trying to unravel the implications of it,this is where a core challenge remains. If true[i personally know it] a lot of westerners feel robbed of the knowledge of what it means to be human.By that, I mean all the inherent possibillities that reside within the human creature. It's not just about leaping over a tall building in a single bound or running faster than a speeding bullet but the implications of such.I'll mind read a bit here but I'd wager a lot of Mo Pie's and Sean Denty's motivations are coming out of this vein.Or maybe it is just power! I know Mo Pai guy doesn't want to reinncarnate again.
  7. S.O.S. MJJ Becker!

Ya Mu I'M curious, how advanced can a person develop in your experience or opinion? Many names have mentioned,Yan Xin ,John Chang,Wang Liping,Wong kiew kit,Master Jo,Chunyni Lynn,ROBERT Peng, what is the common denominator in your view? Rigorous practice? the ability to go within? Chang told Larence Blair the qi stuff is only the beginning, the real journey lies in the meditative process. The theta state seems to be at the heart of these abilities even in yogic disciplines.Swami Rama for example could cause a needle to move under lab. conditions, he also caused two growths to occur one benigh, [bOOK, BEYOND BIOFEEDBACK]the other cancerous.Imagine the implications! He had a saying''the body is in the mind but all the mind isn't in the body'' fascinating! A process like warts being generated through hypnosis rather than a virus also comes to mind.Jim, a student of Chang said his teacher could make his body so light that he could literally jump over a house! But he has to meditate for two weeks to prepare. He intimated a lot of the same skills can be cultivated, developed through different trainings.Do you agree? We all share the same neurology.

Right... his statement wasn't meant to exhaustive of chi or its properties.I have many of the institue's studies in my database.A lot of this just makes plain sense we are electomagnetic beings.Jokingly a friend said technology uses nature but is one step removed while magic or metaphysics is becoming at one with natural forces.

  10. This is what chi really is

Is this chi? Chunnyi Lynn refers to chi as magnetic field-I just thought Drew was eccentric! Hunt carried out a series of ingenious experiments with profound implications for athletic performance. In one experiment, subjects were placed in a Mu Room, a shielded room in the physics department at UCLA, where the natural electromagnetic energy of the air can be altered and manipulated without changing the gravitational force or the oxygen content. As electromagnetic energy was gradually removed from the room, the subjects became confused and disoriented: "Sensory feedback was so impaired that subjects were totally unaware of the location of their bodies in space." Hunt describes the subjects bursting into tears and sobbing. And, "although they reported they were not sad, their bodies responded as though they were threatened." Next, Hunt kept the electrical energy in the room normal, but decreased the magnetism. The dramatic result was gross lack of coordination. "The entire neurological mechanism was thrown off. Subjects could not balance their bodies; they had difficulty touching finger to nose or performing simple coordinated movements. They lost kinesthetic awareness." ("No, officer, I'm not drunk. The reason I can't touch my nose with my finger is because I just came from the Mu Room.") Then, "when the magnetic state was increased beyond the normal state," Hunt writes, "subjects could stand easily on one foot, even on tiptoes, or lean to previously impossible angles without falling. Motor coordination had somehow improved." Apparently, the process of movement and coordination is related not just to interaction with the earth's gravitational field, but to its environmental electromagnetic field as well. Hunt's findings led her to speculate about "the possibility of training athletes and rehabilitating those with muscular disabilities in a strong magnetic energy field." The Vital Energy Machine appears to do just that. Using the Vital Energy Machine Nothing could be easier than using the VE Machine, which engulfs the user in a rich electromagnetic field. By temporarily increasing the intensity and availability of these natural energies, a person using the machine improves his or her motor skills, coordination, stamina, mental clarity and feelings of well being, all necessary for optimal performance. The user (stripped of metallic items, including rings, watches, necklaces, keys, etc.) simply sits with the machine for five to 20 minutes per session, every other day. On the day of an athletic event, he or she does a 20-minute session at least one hour before performing. The hands hold what looks like a child's play steering wheel, while the feet are placed flat on a magnetic plate. Soothing natural electrical energy flows through the hands and feet, while electromagnetic energy emanating from the unit bathes the entire body. The experience feels good, and most people emerge from their first session with the machine wearing a wide, beatific smile. The VE Machine Story Larry Azure, 63, the driving force behind Rejuvenetics and the VE Machine, is an unlikely protagonist in this story. An electrical engineer-- turned-entrepreneur, he retired in 1994 after having brought three high-tech companies public: Pacer Corp., Wall Data Corp. and Voicecom Data Systems. He doesn't need the money and he doesn't need the tsuris. What impels him, though, are his own experiences with bio-electromagnetism and his desire to partake in a worthwhile endeavor that will enhance the human condition. Sounds hokey, I know, but the guy's for real. The story of the development of the VE device almost sounds apocryphal. In 1996, a young inventor, knowing of Azure's interest in edgy, high-tech ideas, brought him an early prototype of what since has become a much more sophisticated instrument. Azure kept it in his basement, playing with it intermittently as he and some colleagues worked on developing it. Here's how he tells the story: "There was a small fichus tree near the device that we had put aside because it had not been watered for months and appeared to be dead. One night, my wife, Judy, called me downstairs and told me to look at the plant. It was budding and growing new leaves-and pointing itself directly toward the machine. "A few days later, Judy suggested I try the device on my 14-year-old Brittany spaniel, Rip. At 14, the vet told me, Rip was at the maximum life-- span of Brittany spaniels and was fast going downhill. He had stopped running with me about a year earlier and, by then, was unable to stand on all fours. "After treating Rip a very few times, he not only was standing, but exhibiting enthusiasm, wagging his tail and regaining his old personality. I decided to have him join me again on my daily 45-minute run, and he kept up. He ran with me another two years. The last time I saw him, he was chasing a rabbit into the bushes. A mountain lion probably got him." These serendipitous anecdotes made a believer of Azure. "Up until Rip's rejuvenation, I was pretty laid-back about the machine. Now I decided to take it seriously." A small human trial involving six late-stage AIDS patients (and four patients suffering from chronic fatigue) was authorized by the National Institutes of Health and conducted by the New York Health and Healing Center. The Center had been asked by the NIH to conduct alternative treatments and trials on volunteer late-stage AIDS patients. The AIDS patients exhibited thrush (an inability to swallow), Kaposi's sarcoma, night sweats, sleeplessness, an inability to concentrate and a host of other symptoms. I obtained a copy of the Center's report. After 12 weeks of treatment with the bio-electromagnetic device, the report states, the patients were "in vibrant good health," with their symptoms dramatically reduced or completely removed. The AIDS patients were still HIV-positive, but their symptoms were gone. In a follow-up, one year later, all of the patients had maintained a symptom-free life and all were working. This small formal trial encouraged the continued development of the machine, Azure says. He formed Rejuvenetics and, after five additional years of development and experimentation, decided to enter the athletic performance market. A Demonstration In early May, Azure and another Rejuvenetics officer, Steve Baker, flew to Phoenix to meet with me and two of the smartest, most creative swim coaches in the swim biz: Bob Gillett and Ron Johnson. Bob is the brilliant, tech-savvy coach of Arizona Desert Fox. Along with his swimmer, Misty Hyman, he invented the underwater, on-your-side fly, and he currently is working on new applications of leading-edge technology to swimming training. Ron, head honcho of Sun Devils Masters and the only coach ever to be named both the collegiate and Masters Coach of the Year, is the inventor of the world's most popular hand paddles. He is also, arguably, the greatest male swimmer in the world over the age of 70. 1 knew these guys would ask skeptical, hard-hitting questions. They did. And after five intense hours of a far-ranging discussion, they acknowledged that there just might be some merit to this strange-looking contraption. Larry agreed to leave the device in Phoenix so we could experiment with it. Good, Good, Good, Good Vibrations After learning how to use the machine (which is so easy even I had no trouble), we tried it out on a number of individuals. The results ranged from the subtle to the dramatic. On the dramatic end, take the case of one very skeptical 65-year-old woman. Extremely active all her life, she has suffered from severe arthritis for about 10 years and has been unable to get up from a lying position without assistance. After one 12-minute treatment, she sprang up from a lying position like an athletic woman half her age. I was dumbfounded. I felt like I was at a revival meeting. "Heal!," it seems I'd said. And she was healed. "No one's going to believe this," I mumbled to myself. "Heck, I observed the whole thing, and I'm not sure I believe it." Then there was the case of Ron Johnson, himself. Ron is a super-athletic chap who has kept himself in superb condition all his life. Earlier in 2002, he had undergone both knee and groin surgery, leaving him inflexible (for him) and unable to squat more than a few inches. After his first session with the VE Machine, he immediately did a fast set of 20 full squats. Without pain. "Ron," I said. "Are you sure you couldn't do these 15 minutes ago?" Grinning from ear to ear, he said: "Absolutely. This is amazing." After that experience, Ron did sessions every other day and began tearing up the pool in practice, swimming repeats at national record pace for his age group. Then: another injury, just 10 days before USMS Nationals in Honolulu. A large golf ball-sized cyst, known as a Baker's Cyst, formed behind his left knee. There's no treatment for a Baker's Cyst; it hurts. If you're lucky, it subsides gradually. Ron was unable to kick breaststroke at all, and any kick was painful. He contemplated withdrawing from the meet even as he kept up his every-- other-day VE sessions. Though it did not disappear, the cyst grew smaller very quickly, diminishing to the size of a marble. The pain subsided, and Ron decided to go to Hawaii. At the USMS Nationals, Ron swam six events and won them all in national record time for men 70-74. Although his times in five events were not as fast as he'd anticipated going before the Baker's cyst, they were much faster than he'd even dreamed of going after contracting the cyst. In one event-the 200 IM-he surpassed even his own lofty expectations. "This is incredible," Johnson told me. "I was so incapacitated I was going to scratch the entire meet. Instead, the VE Machine got me back into the water and allowed me to swim much faster than I thought I could go." Julio Santos, a world-class swimmer from Ecuador, is another swimmer who feels he has benefited from the VE Machine's good vibrations. An Olympic semifinalist in the 50 meter free (22.32), Santos underwent shoulder surgery several months ago but was not healing quickly. Even a series of cortisone shots had only helped a little. Santos had about a half dozen "handson" sessions on the machine before leaving for Croatia for the summer, and said the VE Machine has "helped a lot."

  13. Ken Cohen is the real deal

The form in spring forest is different than what Ken teaches. The levitation statement comes from Drew who studied personally with Chunyi.Chunyi allegedly told him this when discussing his development.Chunyi has worked with dire patients and he's helped to heal them.I doubt Cohen can match his record on that front and that's okay.Cohen's course covers more brances of the tree and not just a single branch. His syllabus is similar to Santiago's on this forum.Again it's more like a academic course where you learn a lot but nowhwere are you promised the development of siddhis.Chunyi freely talks about about the upper eye, seeing auras, and ging 0h so deep during fulll lotus. If you cross reference this is what students of John Chang and Wang Liping,David Verdesi, all advocate.Only Chunyi isn't interested in seducing his students and charging them ten thousand dollars. You aren't forced to kowtow at his feet and beg him for the secrets of greyskull[he man].Perform a search with Chunyi's name.

There's plenty of testomonials about Robert Peng even from fellow tao bums if you perform a search. Also Peng's worked with the former leader of NEW Zealand or Australia and his daughter. He's also very honest about his teachings, willing to teach certain secrets in his long seminars that others aren't.Sean Denty considered studying with him but Robert told him he could not help him aquire the yinyang gong.During breaks at a seminar he talked about levitation, absorbing the lighting, changing bone structure to become another person.Yet if you call him and aks him publicly he may take the silence is golden route.

Experience leads to wisdom but knowledge is always the chief cornerstone of skill development. Before you can read between the lines you have to read[difference between knowledge and wisdom] the lines.High level distinctions should come from experience built upon a proper knowledge base. One could argue that all experience interperted becomes knowledge. The only question is it explicit or implicit. As I said I place Chunnyi lynn in a separate sphere due to his healing abilities. But this could be a flaw in my reasoning. We need intellectuals in society just as we need warriors[soldiers] in society.Just becaus Cohen can't levitate [like Chunyi]or make women feel hot like Drew doesn't mean Chunyi is far above him..just different.Intellectuals help to shape the flame too.How are my opinions about doctors bizarre?
  16. Ken Cohen is the real deal

Knowledge is the foundational key to excellence. After that will power[intention ] comes into play, some doctors lack the willpower to implement their knowledge. Some doctors would be highly offended to have their knowledge of health compared to a qi gung master.Medicine is[or should be] all about health.A lot of people know what's right and powerful but they just don't take action.

Haha! A doctor shouldn't be healther than an average citizen? Oh man that's rich! Well on his dvd course his skin looks flawless and again Wang shu Jin was fat but very respected.

A lot of doctors look fat and unhealty!Yet they posess a body of knowledge that far exceeds the common man.At any rate the rewarding comes from the doing.Wang shu Jinn was fat.Bk franzizs looks fat. Why is that! I remember[my memory again] a guy named Mwright didn't like it, if that's you I'd really like to know why.I remember to Mwright did like Robert Peng's course-which a lot of people don't.I like it as well.Cohen's course is very academic.

I'm not sure I understand...you do know I was complementing ken cohen right? I have spring forest up to level three. The only book I'm familiar with is the instructon manual.I think the first level will contain all the pertinent information. The second level deals more with healing and diagnosis.Along with a few key insights-ways of buffing up your sword finger skills. You probably can't go wrong with either,is there a way of aquiring the first then getting a discount on the second? Provide a link to the book/dvd and I'll scan it over. Then I'll be in a better position to advise you.A lot of the information is conveyed in the form while he's explaining it. The small universe meditation is on the cds/along with sun/moon,then rainbow meditation.

I have his very expensive course. It's very informative ,almost on par with a college course. He doesn't hide anything, gives the technical reasons for everthing.Very few courses I've discovered are as forth coming as Chunnyi's spring forest course-this is one of them!Actually it's more informative overall. It's as though Ken placed all of his academic knowledge into the course.Thunder palms, sword fingers ,sculpting, diagnosis, recharging, deer exercises, bone marrow, whole body breathing, one finger zen, big dipper execise, taoist chakra exercise, walking chi gung, spiritual protection execises, dispelling negative energy, and more.I place Chunnyi in a different sphere because of his healing powers.Reminds me of a saying in the jeet kune do community-see Paul Vunak to see it done, see Burton Richardson for intricate theory.
