I've always been able to breath out of my anus, just can't breath in. *giggle*

If your government (Chairman Mal) killed 15-35,000,000 people because of his incompitence as a leader, after he took over a much more skilled goverment. Would you want to know this or wouldn't you mind if it wasn't allowed to be shown in the media, or talked about anywhere so you didn't find out? So they could keep the power. To put it in perspective hitler killed 6,000,000 jews, and the china governement killed their own people! Moreover if you rallyed against this government would you care if you were run down by tanks? Count yourself lucky your country has christianity. Us westerners get to take over, control and kill the other countries, not takeover, control and kill ourselves. haha YinYang =]

Yeah i agree, it's right. Kidney qi feels like the qi from the earth but not as dense. Earth element qi feels dryer and higher frequency. It's lighter and less dense. It's the earth watery qi from the earth that will make you feel more grounded. It is the most dense. Depending on what you want to do. If you want healing you can work on using and increasing the sensations and your qi. If you want enlightenment or the 'no thinking' then don't attatch to it. Depending on what you practice will increase your abilities in that direction. This watery earth qi is directly related to your body so it will help your body heal the most.

Mate you are talking rubbish, about something you know very little about from watching a movie or reading a book. You think the government in china doesn't want to control the people? You think it's a 'fair' way? The government check everything that goes on the news and doesn't show anything unfavorable. There was some stuff that when down up north that i'm sure you're aware of and they only just turned their telephones and internet on about a month ago. Yeah, for about 6-8 months no internet or telephoning to the outside world. I've lived in china for over 2 years, i know what it's like here. Does their society work? No it's weak because it's all corrupt. Look at the milk scandel for one. The people here are very sheltered and have little knowledge of the outside world other than what is portrayed to them by their government. There is no free speach. In the past everyone has been so poor and the education is very lacking. The university education here is still pretty crappy apart from the chinese medicine courses of course. So people don't resist. It's been the only way they've ever known and those who lived during the revolution say very little about it. Heck you can't even have a conversation about the government here. If there are more than 2-3 friends in a room, or anyone you don't know, people just walk out because they are scared what will happen to them from what they say about the goverment. The western governemnt controls their people too. They are more strict infact in different ways. The people need to be controlled. But don't ramble on about some crap that you have no idea about, for you the grass only seems greener on the other side. There are other ancient philosophical chinese ideas of how to run a society but confucisim it preferred by the goverment because it puts them squarely in charge.

Ahhh i didn't even know who this bloke was. Went to that webpage and saw his pic and yeah i've seen him on TV here. I mean i watch tv one hour a month at most. So strange he was on when i was watching it! As far as i remember he was taking a few whacks to the gut from a stick by someone & using his iron shirt or smething to protect himself. Seemed to be pretty serious though not too much smiling or laughing from what i saw.
  6. Refreshing breeze

Thats the earth chi. The chi that makes you grounded. It's like water. Keep practicing it will get more and more dense. You will taste it and smell it in your body. When you feel it's pretty dense try mix some warmer energy into it too and you will increase it's activity. The wet chi is like the amps, hot chi like the voltage. Both are good.
  7. the Three Pure Ones

It's built on confusism. Where the child respects parents, wife respects husband, husband respects government with government at the top. Thats why it was chosen as the philosophical foundation for their society.... So the government can control the people too.
  8. Mixing the 5 Elements in the Dantien

You won't understand the relationship until you *DO* it. There are 3 different levels. If you can control your emotions it doesn't directly effect your physical body does it. If you run and lift weights it doesn't directly effect your emotions does it. Both will effect you in emotions and physical body but not directly. This gives you some idea of how the different angles for emotional and physical level. Then the kan & li is the part that effects the real "you". When you have a sentence with "I" in it you are talking about the real you that kan and li addresses. "Who am I". I'm not my body or my emotions, i'm that which is behind all those things. You don't need earth element energy for grounding. You need earth energy from the earth. They are different. Just bring in the cool watery blue energy from the earth and bring that put that in your MCO. That will ground you. Fusion of 5 elements won't ground you. Grounding yourself with the earths energy is what will ground you. Learn iron shirt. For me iron shirt and the healing sounds are the most effective and useful things that i'm glad i've learnt. The other things are nice but don't give you much effect in your daily life. If you say you need more grounding you definately don't want to do kan & li. that will make you less grounded.

  10. I'm going on a fast this weekend

Ah i don't think thats a good idea. Fast or don't fast. Especially if you haven't done it before. Give it a good crack! After you fast you've only got to eat a little bit and you'll feel full and have plenty of energy. Just eat a banana for breakfast monday morning an u'll be fine. Don't expect to have some great outcome from it. I fasted for 5 days and the changes were a bit subtle but there none the less. If you always each crappy food you'll feel a bit sick. If you eat healthy you'll feel good. Nice and balanced. The hungryness goes away after a little bit so better not to start eating the middle day or it will be harder. I mean unless you're over 35 and got some physical job like labouring i'm sure you can cope on monday after your fast. It's a life experience and your choosing to do it. Don't sell yourself short by doing a half assed fast!
  11. Anti Aging Guy

How can you rewire your body not to follow the natural human/planetary clock of time? Aren't spiritual people supposed to live 'with' nature? Live WITH the clock of time and the seasons? Clinging to the physical form? If you want to look young i'd have to say that is 100% CLINGING to the physical form. Want to look young? Eat less. Caloric restriction. That will work. Also I think buying expensive products that have been proven to keep you looking younger will work. I don't believe meditating will keep you looking young. Meditating will help you feel young and you might get some offspin from that, that helps you look younger.
  12. Mixing the 5 Elements in the Dantien

This is right up my alley. This is what i've been practicing for countless hours, especially the last 2 years intensely in china since i can't talk chinese to anyone and am bored outta my brain half the time. Yes of course it is possible to mix the 5 elements (i think you already knew). Benefits, when balanced the different forces in your body are at harmony and you are centred and relaxed. I don't think its quite like mixing paint. i think it's better to feel it more as energies because for colours you have to use more visualization. You can also use your emotions of kindness, gentleness etc to link with the energies can help you connect with the different energies quickly and easily. Colours are there but you don't 'use' the colours, you can 'see' or 'watch' the colours. You can mix the energies any way you like. You can produce and alloy any feelings/energies you can imagine (Your imagination being the limiting factor) to produce other new feelings. What happens to the energy unused? you decide. You can leave some energy still as their orgininal form or You can convert them all into one energy if you want. All the earth metal water and fire into wood energy. Then you can have strong wood kindness energy. You'll feel 'super' kind. Are you balanced? No. You feel kind Is that ok? yes it's all ok just don't do it for too long (every day for a month) or you could cause some health problems. You know when you have balanced them all perfectly because your energy will hit a high frequency that can't go higher. Like it is at the peak, no changing of your mixing quantities will increase the energy's quality. Then just boost whatever energy you've got by 100x by mixing in ur sexual energy. Play with this part alot, i think sexual energy is very important. You can mix the elements anywhere you want in the universe. You can even mix the elements of the universe together without even using your own energies. so in your body or outside or... anywhere. If you mix them in your body the dantien is the best place because it is a safe place for lots of energy and you won't have a problem with too much energy in too small a place. You wouldn't try fit a whole apple down your throat without biting a bit off would you? If you want to have large energy you don't put it in a small place. Kan & Li is different from 5 elements fusion practice. If you want to understand kan & li do Kan & li if you want to understand the 5 elements work with those. You should do 5 elements first though so you progress and learn. If you go straight to kan and li it's like doing calculus when you dont' know the times tables. 5 elements is more useful too because you can control your emotions with it and feel peace. You can't with kan & li. Kan & li just gives you lots of energy. You need to have good control of the energy so you can do kan & li and after ur good at fusion of 5 elements kan and li will be a piece of cake. It does make you a bit spacey though. I don't even do kan & li much any more. Got bit less time now and plus it's not what i'm after. But kan & li is where uncomprehendable magic happens. Magic? Well you can start to see things happen before they happen just by listening and believing yourself, believing in your connection to the tao. You become like a radio control car controlled by the heavens. You might not see it before it happens but your dreams will start comming true but without you intending it. In ways you would never have thought. But you don't have any control over it. You realise you really should be careful what you wish for. Better to not wish and let it happen on it's own accord. You can really begin to see the big picture, much bigger than you ever thought before. But like driving a radio control car in a place where you can't see the path infront of it clearly, if your not grounded enough you might trip on that stone thats in your way that the heavens are pointing you to. A bruised knee is not fun is it? If you concentrate on the earth energy i think it's much better. You can see things happen before they happen too. Just because your are so connected to everything and AWAKE and can see those details leading up to what will happen in the future. You are controlled by you. You can feel the others because the others are you too. You can feel the location of others sickness just by connecting to them and feeling within yourself. You can feel anothers fear exactly as they feel it. You dont' need to see the look on their face, but when you do it just verifies your instinctual feeling. Then comes what i belive is the final part (not what i've read from books but my own thoughts) balancing the 3 levels so that you have the grounding and benefits of it i spoke about above, the fusion perfect so that you are balanced emotionally all the time and have compassion, and the wisdom comming from above that i spoke about before. Balancing them all so you have the benefits of all of them. Balancing the 3 pure ones (gods of heaven man and earth) so that everything finally becomes one. You might reach the state a few times but being able to live your life continuously in that state.... That is true perfection.... All in all just continue your meditations and practice your own path. I really think mantak chias stuff is excellent if you can get your head around it. Practicing it will give you your own basic understanding then you can just pick your own path. Don't forget to do a little exercise. It can go a long way
  13. This doctor i've been seeing here in Tianjin... he is amazing. I've SEEN him tell patients about the following things without them giving him any information about it. Only feeling the pulse. He assures me he doesn't 'see' anything else, only uses the pulse. He works in many small clinics and has no contact with any previous medical histories of the people. Theres a huge line waiting to go see this guy. He's an expert at helping people have a baby. He said he will try teach me after chinese new year which i'm pretty excited about, but i'm sure it will be hard since my chinese is pretty crappy and my wife can't translate every day. He knew a lady had just eaten a sweet potato. Somebody ate too many sunflower seeds - he loved them. Knows if your hungry or not knows blood sugar level That a lady had a real metal key inside her belly That a woman had a misscarage, how long it was into pregnancy and that it was due to a chromozone issue. Knew that a lady had a cancer removed and the exact size of it. Asked me if i got a run in the morning, i said no? then he said soon you will and so i did. Knew that a lady had semen still inside her body. Knows when sperm and egg have connected Knows when the sperm/egg has stuck on the wall of the womb When someone is pregnant. After a couple of big nights on the booze he said my sperm had no tails haha He knows if your baby will be a boy or a girl just according to the egg and it's position... nothing to do with the sperm He can try to alter things so you can have a boy if u want or a girl if you want. A girl came in she couldn't walk had to be carried by 2 people. After 1 month of eating herbs she can walk around and play normally. (the girl's sister said it was true) He knew someone had cancer (they already knew but they didn't tell the doctor) and her referred them to a big hospital. Knew a pregnant girl had a sore rib, and said it was because the baby's leg was pressing against it. He gives qigong healings but these don't just magically fix people though. He's done many more but i can't remember, and these are only things that i've seen while i've been there. Thing is in china theres no private room and people just line up behind you in the doctors so anything said is heard by the whole line. haha I mean i can't understand how he can do it. It seems impossible to my logical mind but there i see it in front of my eyes. Anyone seen anything like this before? Edited because my missus just came back from the doctor with a couple of extra storys heheh.
  14. the Three Pure Ones

Well my thought was that the three pure ones were the three sources of energy. Heaven/universal Man/cosmic & Earth/grounding. Taoism has been around for many many years and originally there were no 'gods' as such. There were just connections to the three sources of energy, and the feelings associated with them. I feel the colours as blue golden and purple. Later buddism was introduced from india and gained alot of attention from the Chinese. Thenafter the taoist 'gods' of the 3 pure ones were created to compete with the gods of buddism.
  15. Amazing diagnosis of TCM doctor

I rekon as well things like telling people not to drink or smoke in your clinic is not so good if you want to get more people. I mean everybody already knows this info but people don't like to keep hearing that they should stop smoking or drinking. Especially trying to put pressure on them. Like Ya mu said the people will do whatever they want when they leave and keep eating too much and keep having the same behaviour that caused the illness. So you make them feel better, then they leave and a while later they start feeling bad again and come back. I feel the massage and energy work /accupuncture would have this type of effect. By adding in the use of herbs (not the boilup kind cos nobody can be bothered), the little premade pills you can extend the energy balancing effect you tried to make in your clinic because the herbs will support your changes even in their un-balancing lifestyles. I don't have a clinic or anything but i've been researching the different aspects. I feel you need a direct effect like accupuncture or energy alteration/balancing then some long term thing to continue and really help them heal in the long run. I mean the herbs will work find on their own but accupuncture/massage/qigong can give that quick boost which can bring patients comming back and give them confidence in your work. I think it's amazing how fast you can be booked up with patients. I know several people who have become super busy very fast. So many people feel uncomfortable and have something wrong with them.
  16. Taoist Salt

No idea but i wouldn't expect it to work miracles. I mean it is still processed isn't it. I don't think it should be your 'every day' food. Maybe it could be used as some kind of medicine but for general use you'd be best just getting natural sea salt in my opinion. Meditation, exercise, high quality small meals & massaging sore parts are probably the most effective. Of course you can add other stuff in but i think these will make the biggest improvments to ones health.
  17. Amazing diagnosis of TCM doctor

That x-ray vision could be really cool to look through girls clothing. I wanna learn!
  18. Amazing diagnosis of TCM doctor

Got a few more amazing things he's figured out from the pulse so thought i'd add them in.... correctly diagnosed gallbladder stones and what size which matched to western doctors diagnosis bone cancer fat on the liver epilepsy heart disease Western doctors didn't know if someones throat had cancer but he said they didn't (not proven either way though) Tumors in wombs, stomachs, brains, breasts and their size. Several times matched western doctors diagnosis's sometimes not diagnosed by western doctors Sore necks & backs. high/low blood pressure diabeties So pretty much just about everything. There were some things that got translated into english for me and i've never even heard of it before and don't even know what it is haha. Sometimes he doesn't know from the pulse though and has to ask the patient. It's not like he can know every single disease from every person just by the pulse. But he can tell a hell of alot from it. Something else that surprises me though is that he never asks if someone smokes. Sometimes he might ask if they drink but smoking is never something he asks about.
  19. Running

I don't know about 'running qigong' as such but what i do is definately using qi while running. I use the same method while doing tai chi. It's like your body can be totally exhausted and you feel worn out if you don't use the qi (We do taichi for 7-8 hours sometimes) but you relax and let the qi do the work. You do need to have some physical conditioning so you're able to relax while exercising but your stamina comes from the qi. I run and the energy comes from above and i just float along the ground using hardly any energy. Doing it this way though i feel a bit ungrounded and it's easier to trip over stuff etc. I can use the energy from the ground but i can't do it so easily when i'm running. Then i'm very grounded but the running isn't so effortless for me. Its a matter of balancing it out and when i've been practicing alot of qigong it balances out perfectly by it's self. I can even run fast (still relaxed - not a hardcore sprint) for quiet a while without getting tired just by using qi. If i tense up and sprint hard i'll go faster but i'll be puffing for air after not very far. When i do tai chi my legs can be absolutely torn up from having my legs so bent while doing the kartas but i just relax and the earth energy comes up and suspends my body over my legs. If i tense up i can't continue practicing i'm too tired. If i relax i just continue on. The easiest way is to smile from your whole body (not forcefully just do it) while u are running and don't think of anything, which becomes easier when ur smiling. What i do won't take 20 years to be able to do. If you qigong is good and your body is fit enough you can do it right away. You don't 'use' the qi, the qi just comes in and if you let enough of it in by relaxing enough it does the work for you. Don't try to put the energy in your orbit just feel it flowing round. Don't squash it into a ball or spiral or anything like that, just let it run like a river, it is everywhere all at once. When you run it becomes all so much easier, if you can have your channels opened while sitting still its easier to do it when ur running. Ur qi is stronger from your physical effort so your channels are just all pushed open. Try meditating first then running straight after. Thats the easiest way. I can even use qi while weight lifting and lift 90% of my max while totally relaxed just using the qi. It's so easy. To get to 100% i do have to tense up though. Tensing is how you get real gains though, but it also gives greater opportunity for injuries to occur. Don't get me wrong, you can't use the qi to do what ur body is not capable of. But it does let you do what your body is capable of without effort, a struggle and much less pain. Try it for your next 3 runs and i'm sure you will find some benefit in it. After the 3rd run you'll be able to do it alright as long as your qigong is ok. You can't be looking forward to the end of your run or thinking about what you'll do next or planning anything. Just be in the moment and enjoy what ur doing now. I'm sure it will be easier at the start of your run than towards the end when you're more tired. But keep practicing and the effortless portion of your run will slowly extend as your ability to maintain a relaxed state improves.
  20. Tricks & Tips for pulse diagnosis

Something i didn't mention that really surprised me is when it came to lunchtime the boss shouts everyone in the clinic to lunch. There was about 5-6 people who went including myself and finished off a whole bottle of spirit including the doctors and herb people. Then go back to the practicing diagnosing cancer etc haha. I got told that it's normal and happens every time. You'd never be allowed to do that in the west. If i knew that before i wouldn't have taken the doctor so seriously but he still is right on with his diagnosises. Maybe alcohol improves your diagnosis, that the thing i'm choosing to learn from it. Can't wait till i've got my own clinic and can get drunk at lunch time haha.
  21. Tricks & Tips for pulse diagnosis

Thanks alot guys. Those articles you posted taotao are just what i wanted. Started reading up and got a better idea of what i should be looking for. David: Number 4 uneven pulse i meant the amplitude of the sine wave changes. I found it hard to distinguish length of the sign wave changing unless it was quiet a large difference. I guess i will get better in time. I will start trying to feel for the details you described in the pulse. Going there again tomorrow and i'll ask him if i can practice some other days too so hopefully speed my learning up a bit. I'm sure i'll be back again with a few more questions after tomorrow. Thanks again! Louis.
  22. Running

I've heard that it's better to spend more time breathing in and less time breathing out like you've said.... but i've always done it 2 in and 3 or 4 out, while i've been consiously controlling it, depending if i'm going uphill and how fit i am at the time. At the beginning i just adjusted it in a way that stopped me getting a stitch. I feel it's easier to relax while breathing out so i breath out longer than i breath in for. I guess it doesn't really matter. Just do the distance in the way you like best. But the thing i've found the most rewarding is using your whole body together, swinging the weight around and counterbalancing everything so that it really becomes very easy. After lots of gym work i was a bit stiff and i have to say running with my body relatively straight and feeling solid like a tank did feel good too, using pure power and strength. But it's also nice feeling your whole body just flowing along nicely, looking around enjoying whats around you in a relaxing way rather than just concentrating on breaths and whats directly infront of you. Training like a soldier - hardcore sprinting up hills and dodging around trees and skipping sideways and stuff in your runs is also very good and feels great when you're super fit. To be honest though i really can't be bothered most of the time, i just plod along at a comfortable pace and feel nice
  23. Running

I've ran for about 10 years. normally just about 5ks i think it's enough to keep fit not enough to damage your knees. Best to run on the nature strip too on the grass, just be careful if it's sloped or u can hurt yourself after a while. I think theres a few stages. First stage is just being able to keep your breath and not get a stitch with some breathing timing, then trying to speed up a little bit while making your foot contacts soft so not hurting your knees. Then relaxing with meditation so that you only feel your body running, your arms and upper body swing and sway perfectly in tune with your legs moving so that you run effortlessly. Your breathing doesn't matter and you don't even concentrate on it any more, your body does it it's self. You get to the end of 5ks breathing perfectly normally and feel not in the slightest bit tired.
  24. Tricks & Tips for pulse diagnosis

Glad you replied David i was hoping you would. I've got a basic background knowledge of TCM, i read a medium sized book that gave a good overall of the whole thing a couple of years ago and i've got alot of qigong experience so i know how things connect with each other within my own body. I've been told that the 3 positions on each arm are heart/liver/kidney and lung/spleen/bladder and sexual function. He hasn't said anything about depths and in my internet searching i've read a bit about that so i'll have to ask him about it next weekend. I haven't studied anything pulse specific and i can't find any english books here in china unless i get one off the internet but i don't want to get some massive thing to wade through because i feel i could probably pick it up more from practice faster than i could learn from some massively detailed book. Some lighter reading on the subject could definatley provide useful though. Something in my internet reading i'm finding is that how can i work out what is a slippery soggy pulse etc. Like i need to feel an example of that pulse to know what they are talking about in the text. The differences i can feel are: 1. A very sharp 'spike' to the pulse of one finger as in if the pulse is a sine wave the peak is much sharp higher and spiked. This seemed to be present with very serious illnesses and i got told it's because of pressure in that organ. It was very easy to feel this feeling. 2. High blood pressure felt a bit like this spiked pulse but not spiked quiet as high as i mentioned above, plus the pulse felt this way across all fingers. 3. Different strengths of the pulse at different fingers so then you can feel how it is out of balance. Usually the centre finger is a little stronger, especially the stomach if they are hungry or have eaten a big meal and thats normal i was told. 4. Uneven pulse, so the pulse doesn't beat in a steady sine wave, some waves are shorter and some are longer than others. 5. Another one i found difficult to feel but could feel a tiny bit was his pulse felt ok when u press light but if you push down with the middle finger you couldn't feel the pulse on the outside fingers, or it was very light. The doc said it's because there wasn't enough blood in his veins or something. If it wasn't fixed it could become serious. 6. Another one difficult to feel but i felt a tiny bit was one of the fingers the pulse didn't go all the way through the finger (like from left to right) - it was the right most finger. Said there was some blockage or organ or heart wasn't strong enough for the blood to go through. Maybe i should continue with my trying to catorgorise the feelings within my own head without trying to attach it to the theory yet so then my thoughts won't effect my feelings and create a desire to catorgorise it with the literature. I do have a nagging urge to start to learn some theory too though because i'm only going to have this opportunity for a month or two before i leave China. Hopefully after a couple of weeks i can go to the practice three times a week that will speed up my learning lots.
